I cannot say enough positive things about Wedge Roofing. I have worked with the company on three occasions during the past nine years, and each project went smoothly. Their attention to detail is flawless and Wedge's in-house coordination between the estimator, managers, installers, and owner Gary Harvey is impressive to say the least. They are real team players and perfectionists. Last Spring, during rainy season, the bathroom contractor who was onsite at my flat-roof Eichler home for five months abandoned me before completing installation of the two new expensive roof-mounted bathroom fans, something that requires careful coordination between the contractor and roofer. I was totally stranded. I called Wedge Roofing and Gary personally helped me resolve the problem quickly, affordably and efficiently. He and his team spoke with the junior carpenter whom I hired to build the wood "fan curbs" by phone more than once and explained the required specs to the carpenter. The day before the foam was "poured," one of Wedge's managers came out and did a site check to make sure things "were in order" and ready. And, on the day of the install, the manager came out again! A few hours into the job, he and the installers decided that extra flashing support, while not necessary, would be a good idea as a precautionary measure. I'm not sure what the technical name of the material was. They didn't have the right material onsite. They called a truck, who was more than 60 minutes away, to bring out the materials to my house. The team didn't complain about the wait once. And I was not charged extra. Amazing! Wedge Roofing is fabulous and you'll never have to worry if the job was done right or not.

I've been a homeowner for over 50 years, during which I've had two homes built and purchased others as my primary residences. Without hesitation, I rate Wedge Roofing 10 stars out of 5. They exceeded every expectation and never missed a beat. They may be a little more expensive, but.... As the saying goes: "It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money--that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do." These guys are really great. We live in an Eichler home with a tar-and-gravel roof. The roof was 20 years old and beginning to leak. I had them come in to find out what a new roof would cost. In addition to giving us a quote for a new roof, they told us our roof was actually in pretty good shape and they could do a patch job to give us another five years or so before replacement. We went with the patch option and they did the job last summer, quickly and efficiently. When things got tricky with some re-piping over the roof that a plumber was doing at the same time, they were very helpful -- Ralph Wedge, the owner, even stepped in to explain what the plumber needed to do. All that is great, but where they really shine is service. When the first really big storm rolled in this winter, there was one spot where the roof still leaked. I checked our contract and found that they guaranteed their work for a year. I gave them a call and hoped that maybe they could have someone come out in the next week or two. They said that yes, they were quite busy, but they got a couple guys out THAT SAME AFTERNOON and patched the area that leaked. We've had another big storm and the new patch held. I can't recommend these guys highly enough, they do great work and they stand behind it with fantastic service. Hire them!

Having obtained competitive bids from Capstone and Crown Ridge Roofing we decided to go with your Company due to our interaction with John. His pleasant manner, knowledge of construction and presentation carried the day and we knew we would be in good hands with the Company he represented. While it may have not been the lowest bid we felt in good hands with him. From the initial assessment we were pleased. He was the only one that got the ladder out and walked the roof to study it and obtain an estimate that supported the final results. We were fit in the schedule and were able to have the roof done before our first rains of this past week. With front line personnel such as John you are in good hands. We have also recommended him to our friends, the Meyers here in Novato, who are in consultation with John at this time. I have had an extraordinarily excellent experience with Wedge Roofing and Tarry Winfrey. I manage a property as a conservator for an intellectually disabled family member. Following work by another company in replacing the roof a few years earlier, leaks developed due to poor work by the original roofers (nails not into studs), and I contacted Wedge Roofing. They made themselves available immediately during the storm season. They determined that only limited repairs were necessary and not a new roof. Made the repairs efficiently and for a completely reasonable price. When other problems developed with the original roof, Mr. Winfrey and Wedge Roofing were there again quickly - again, during storm season, and provided the necessary repairs quickly and efficiently. The prices we have been charged are more than fair. During these times, Mr. Winfrey was on site and made sure that only the necessary work was done. He was in regular communication with me, and he worked with my disabled relative which is not easy. Tarry was patient and worked diligently to be sure that he and his team completed the work to everyone's satisfaction. I cannot recommend Wedge Roofing highly enough. It rained a lot last week and I wrote the following to directly the owner of Wedge Roofing: "I wanted to tell you what a relief it has been with today's rain to NOT have water dripping into our home in two places.  So far, so good, anyway. This has been a painful 6+ month saga for us, wasting money on another roofer who simply was unable to fix our leaks.  Every time it rained this season, we've had water dripping into our house, even after repeated visits from the other roofer. I finally gave up on them and hired Wedge, and today's rain appears to have stayed outside where it belongs. Thanks to Billy for properly evaluating what was going on with our roof!  Thanks to Santiago and his partner for the quality work they did to seal up our roof!" The other roofer was also local and licensed but clearly incompetent and unreliable (I wrote my first negative Yelp review for them warning people to be careful with them). Wedge assessed the issue(s) quickly and their team fixed the problem with their first visit, which was a huge relief for us. They are more expensive than other roofers but they will be my "go-to" roofer if we have issues in the future.

We have a 1911 house in SF that had a 30+ year roof on it. I had called several roofers seeking to see if it could be repaired. Several were unwilling to visit for a potentially small job. Wedge, however, responded promptly and provided a thorough recap. While the roof needed to be replaced, I did not feel up-sold, rather I had photos and info leading to a correct decision. The contract, material selection and scheduling process were smooth. Calls and emails were returned promptly with appropriate responses. During the work, the team showed up on time and worked hard. The job site was left clean each day. We had a change order for work I requested, which was accommodated within the schedule. The best surprise was that while we anticipated some contingency for damaged wood or other surprises, it was not needed. While that is a testament to the house, it is also easy for contractors to find ways to increase their invoice by finding extra work. Overall, we are very pleased with our roof and would definitely recommend Wedge Roofing for residential work.

Well I'm happy to say Ralph and his crew have done it again! After the great job they did on our tower I had them do one of our back decks, replacing the rotting old wooden railings with new permanent powder coated aluminum railings. I don't know the actual workers names that came out but my wife and girls said they, on every occasion they have had to talk to them, have been super accommodating and kind on every level. So the crew earned 5 stars with the way they treated my family when I was at work. Then, at the end, when there were a few loose ends, just like last time, Ralph himself came out at the end and made sure that all my concerns were addressed perfectly. I am very happy to have hired Wedge Roofing, and soon I will be tackling the rest of my decks and it'll be my pleasure to hire Wedge to make them beautiful and nearly indestructible. The quote was very competitive with other Roofing Companies. They focused on delivering a high-quality Roofing Product/Service and they succeeded! Ralph Wedge (President) and Lalo (Head Foreman) were in constant communications with us from the time we were given the Quote to the Final Inspection after the job was completed. They responded to all of my questions in a timely manner, and encouraged me to reach out if I had any additional questions or concerns. The Installation Crew was extremely professional, and took great care in protecting the outside of our house/landscaping. I've only spoken to Wedge Roofing for advice, but I wish I had used them for my roofing project. I was trying to understand why my new roof was failing and what to do and reached out to them because of the thorough info on their website. Gary Harvey returned my call and was beyond knowledgeable and also incredibly helpful in asking the right questions in order to help me navigate my issue and understand the quick fix that my roofer suggested. With nothing to gain, he walked me through several alternatives and patiently explained materials and courses of action. That kind of generosity with nothing to gain is rare in today's world, where people in the trades are often focused on getting the job done quickly and moving on to the next. If you have not yet chosen a roofing company, go for Wedge Roofing - I wish I had.

In my earlier review I said Wedge was very responsive to my needs and did a great job of installing our new roof. Now that we have been through most of a very wet winter, I can confirm the roof has worked perfectly. Not a single leak so far (knock on wood), and our flat roof drains very well. This is important since we have a lot of skylights and odd angles in our roof that have caused leaks in the past, Wedge's crew apparently dealt with all those details very well. The only thing I would mention to somebody looking to replace tar and gravel with foam, is if you can see the roof the bright white color is quite startling, and it clearly shows any debris on the roof. But I am very happy with my roof and would both use Wedge again, and would use foam rather than T&G.

Researching best roofs for no less than 2 years my decision to install a foam roof was a huge change in thinking about roofs. Our house has both pitched and flat roof areas. High ceilings and standard height ceilings. Some rooms with single pane windows and non insulated walls in other areas causing the house to often be cold and hard to heat or too hot for comfort. Our Two gas furnace's solve the cold issues but the hot days discomfort is consistently a problem. The question of roof type solve the homes temperature variations? The short answer, yes. Wedge roofing has provided comfort beyond our expiations. We so pleased to now be living in a comfortable home even in overly hot days or cold mornings with out using the heating.

Our experience with Wedge has been exceptional. They accomodated our need to move quickly on part of our reroofing in order for us to go solar before the rebates for solar expired. Despite being swamped, they were able to do that part of our roof separate from the rest of the job. The second part of the reroof was more complicated, involving some structural repair and a different roof material, which was all done quickly once our plans were confirmed. John kept us up to date on the scheduling and followed up on the finished product. All of our concerns were met with an eagerness to see the job finished above and beyond what we expected. Spending money on reroofing isn't fun, but Wedge made the process a great experience.

Wedge roofing did repairs on a significant leak at my Bodega Bay house, during all this rain we've been having. I had several other companies provide estimates, but Wedge was the fastest to respond, and identified a leak source (*clearly* a source) that the other roofers missed. The front office was always professional, and able to provide support, answers and callbacks (this was a bit of problem for some other firms, unfortunately). The supervisor, Billy, was responsive, worked with me on issues that cropped up, and kept the job within the estimate (which was the same or lower than others). Most importantly, it stormed this weekend, and we're buttoned up and dry!

I moved into a new house 2 years ago in Sonoma, no one had any idea how old the roof was. I wanted to put solar up but needed to see if the roof would last as long as the new solar installation. Called Wedge Roofing and they sent Billy out right away who flew a drone above the roof and took a look around. The roof had 4 years left which could have been extended with a little bit of work but went with the option to install a new roof with Timberline HDZ Lifetime Shingles. The crew came and installed a magnificent roof on my 2,500 sq/ft ranch in 1.5 days! They did such a great job and I am so very happy with the outcome. Can't say enough good things!

We recently replaced our roof with Wedge. The whole process was painless and done with expertise. It took less than two days to complete the installation of the new roof with the roofers completely cleaning up after each day. Wedge Roofing did a 5-star job on the roofing of my home in Novato. Although there was a time lag between getting their bid and hiring them to do my roof, they honored their bid anyway, and did everything possible to give me a beautiful result within my budget. From arriving exactly on time to work, to meticulously cleaning up the mess, they did the job expertly and in an amazingly short amount of time - just a day and a half from start to finish! I will be referring them to some of my neighbors who are looking for roofers, and cannot recommend them more highly. You can't go wrong if you use their services.

Wedge replaced our tar and gravel roof with a spray foam roof. John, the rep who came and did the original quote and coordinated the work, was very responsive to my questions and concerns. The office was also easy to deal with. When the crew came and did the work, they were tidy and did a great job. The roof looks really good and we had no problems with the recent downpour. We also plan to put in solar, and Wedge was able to coordinate with the solar company, who had to install solar panel stanchions prior to the roof going on. I highly recommend Wedge Roofing.

I highly recommend Wedge Roofing from the time you call to request a quote, meet with Jim ( dedicated person and always available), when your project begins Lalo one of the supervisors ( also always available and answer your questions right away) on-site supervisor Nino & the crew doing our roof did it in the time promised and our roof looks great! We did also the gutters after roof was done and little delayed on that but they arrived when they promised and everything is done and looking nice. This is the second time that I've used Wedge Roofing. They show up when they are supposed to, are careful to get everything tarped to help in clean-up and they left the place in good shape. Rain was a problem, so they sent a large crew to do the whole job in one day. My neighbors were amazed that they could do the job so fast and they are pleased with the appearance too. They have to look at it every day, which I do not!!! Tarry and Lalo were more than helpful and kept the job running smoothly from beginning to end. I highly recommend Wedge.

I didn't use his services but Gary was so willing to help advise me with a roof install I just had completed from someone else. I had concerns about the install and Gary didn't need to take the time to call me but there were a few back and forth communications and he was extremely helpful to advise me if I should or shouldn't have any concerns with my previous roof install. We just had a foam roof installed at our house in Santa Rosa. We are VERY happy with the result and the crew that Wedge sent out to our house. They were very considerate of our house and also were very careful in working around a home with a licensed day care inside (and sometimes outside). Also! The roof is amazing. Our house is now much cooler. The construction and detail looks impeccable. The price was reasonable and competitive. I can relax now - no more summer heat and winter leaks.

I recently had Terry Odgers, their estimator, come to my home to assess the condition of my roof. To my surprise, my roof was deemed to be useable for several more years. In addition, Terry helped me resolve a problem with solar panels. This help involved several phone calls between Terry and the solar company, and was done completely without charge. Exceptional service!

Wedge Roofing was terrific to work with. All the crewmen were amazing and Tarry Winfrey was great to communicate with! Our roof was a massive job because we also needed a layer of foam insulation on top of our roof before the roof could go on. The insulation worked great right away, reducing our need for heating. So far, our house is much cooler on hot days, which is why we really needed the insulation. Anyway great job and great guys to work with!
