ELM Roofing did a fantastic job! No-fuss, fair pricing—I didn’t even feel the need to negotiate after comparing other quotes. They patiently came back multiple times to show different shingle samples, always professional. So far, they've met every promise. I especially appreciated that they support maintaining the roof warranty even with third-party solar installations. Bonus: they even “roofed” my mailbox as a fun little gift. Highly recommend!
I chose Elm Roofing to replace my roof because Sean measured the roof and went inside the attic for further assessment. He was able to start the job right away that week and completed in 3 days. He visited the job daily to explain the progress and use his drone for easy visuals. I’m satisfied with their workmanship and also Sean’s customer service. Andy P from Morgan Hill
I recently had my roof replaced and couldn't be more pleased with the result. From initial meeting to project cleanup, Rodrigo and his crew did everything carefully and with attention to detail. I was kept informed throughout the process, and all my questions were always addressed. I would be happy to recommend this company to anyone in need of roofing services.
Excellent, thorough and meticulous roofing contractors. They replaced our peaked shingled roof, and a small section of flat roof with TPO. In the process of roof replacement, ELM also straightened out a couple of gutter issues. The project managers are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Carlos was our point man and he was great. Highly recommended.
ELM did a repair on our roof. They were very competitive on pricing and were professional on how they did their business. Rodrigo came out and inspected our roof. He showed me what the issues were and what needed to be done to fix them. I felt comfortable with him and his crew. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a roof repair.
My flat roof was old, and my insurance wouldn’t renew my policy without having the roof replaced. I met with a few local companies and got a few bids. Max with ELM gave me a mid-range bid but showed professionalism like no other. Choosing ELM Roofing turned out to be a good decision. I am happy with my new TPO roof.
We needed our roof replaced after 30 years. Our experience with Raphael and his team was exceptional. Professional, prompt and clean -the job was done in a week. I highly recommend Elm roofing if you need roof replacement.
From the estimate to the installation, Mr. Roof really did a nice job. The sales rep Matthew was very friendly and assertive, but I wouldn't call him pushy. My dog loved him, so I took that as a good indicator. Matthew arrived promptly and was very thorough with explaining the product and the installation process. On the day of installation, the crew arrived early, around 7:30 a.m. I told them I would need to move my car out of the garage in about a half hour, and they had no problem with that. They quickly moved the truck out of the driveway so I could get out. I'm not sure how long they took as I was at work all day, but when I got home the job was done, and they left no sign that they had even been there except for the invoice in the door. Great clean-up job. I will say that the invoice that was left in the door was a bit mysterious to me. Somebody had crossed off the price I had agreed upon and marked it up to a number that didn't add up to the amount charged for boards that had to be replaced. It was odd. When I called about it, I was told to just wait for the amended invoice in the mail, which I actually received by email that same day. At any rate, the amended invoice was correct. I guess somebody just isn't very good with math! Just thought it was worth mentioning. I do feel they are a bit on the high end price-wise, but they do a really good job. Matthew also sent a personalized note thanking me for my business. Small gestures like that count. I would totally recommend this company for a new roof.
The crew that came out did an absolutely amazing job. My roof looks great and they even helped out on facia that wasn't part of the job! They also sprayed a wasp nest for me that was up 50 ft that I couldn't get to! They went above and beyond and I couldn't thank them enough. One thing to caution, stay far away from Mike Rinta, salesman. Last year when I got the first quote he broke an arm of my dining room chair and didn't say anything and just left. I found out an hour after he left when I saw the arm dangling. I didn't care because they were not great chairs anyway and I let it slide, I was just amazed he ran off like a kid that broke something and didn't want his parents to find out. Anyway, Before the job he called and immediately started yelling, "what I was trying to pull" before even saying hello... saying the three small 4 ft pieces of facia were too much to ask for! (I couldn't get up that high because of how steep the roof is or I would have done it.. ) anyway, he continues by saying our roofers don't know how to do siding and flat out no we are not doing it, after this he says do you want to cancel? During this whole conversation his voice is raised and he's talking fast so I could tell he was throwing a hissy fit over it. I called the roofing manager Jeff and he told me "not a problem". So the roofers got there and like I stated earlier in this review, were willing to help. Very good people. They did an amazing job on the cleanup as well!! I didn't find one staple or nail! I was actually amazed.
I was in the market to buy a new roof sometime in the next 6-8 months and after receiving a terrifying quote from one company, a friend of mine recommended that I text Ricky Steele. I had no idea which company he was with, but she loved his customer service and their new roof. Ricky immediately responded to me and was able to come out to my house to check out my roof. That's when I found out that he was with Mr. Roof. He gave me a quote that I was comfortable with, but at the time, I did not plan on getting the roof right away because of other projects that were in the works. He told me to call him if anything happened with the roof between his visit and when I made my decision to move forward. Fast forward a month and Mother Nature decided that August was the best time to dump a bunch of rain on Michigan and my roof, subsequently, decided to take the month off. I called Ricky and he came out in 20 minutes to put a tarp on my leaking skylight and to get me scheduled for a new roof. He made the process very easy and in a way it felt like I was working with a close friend. I didn't have to go through a crazy sales pitch, but I was still educated on the roof and the products, but not in an annoying when-will-this-guy-leave-my-house kind of way. So, if you ever need roof advice that is accurate and to the point AND you want someone who values your time and your home as much as you do, get yourself in touch with Ricky.
My wife and I met with Mr. Carl Apsley from Mr. Roof on Sept 27th. He explained everything to us and inspected our roof, both inside and outside. Our problem was not enough ventilation, and we were retaining heat and moisture in our attic. This caused us black spots on our ceilings He suggested adding gable vents inside the attic area and more vents on the roof plus baffles along the gables. To be honest, I went and received quotes from a couple other companies. Turns out Mr. Roof was the best deal as far as quality of product, warranty and price. Our roof was installed on Oct 13th. The crew showed up on time and set up tarps around the house. They worked like a fine tuned clock. The supervisor and his helper were there to answer all of our questions, even to the point of taking pictures to show us in better detail what they were talking about. We were very impressed with the way this crew worked together. The job was finished that evening as promised. One week after the work was done, an inspector from Mr. Roof showed up, went up on the roof to check the work that was done. Than asked if we had any questions or concerns. We would defiantly recommend Mr. Roof to our friends and family
There are a few negative reviews here, but we an EXCELLENT experience with Mr Roof from beginning to end. Ricky Steele (rsteele@mrroof.com) was extremely helpful in navigating the insurance issues. We have excellent insurance, but they wanted to replace or repair only half the roof. Ricky went to bat for us and got the whole roof replaced. He patiently held our hand all the way! The crew was equally professional and thorough. From tear off through installation and clean up. At no point were we treated with anything less than courtesy and patience. And they completed our job one only one day, even with replacing 45 sheets of plywood (through the snow, too). Thank you Ricky, crew, and Mr Roof!
These guys were quick, friendly, great communication, follow up was spot on and their sales guy was knowledgeable and actually listened to me-which was the reason I decided to go with them in the first place. Every other sales guy wanted to sieme through their pre-written script. Then he showed up when the insurance adjuster came out. Then he followed up several times on the process. Dave the sales guy is a customer service rockstar. Their pricing was comparable or a little better than everyone else. 100% recommend, wonderful experience.
Beyond satisfied with Mr Roof. The rep (Ricky) was extremely knowledgeable. He answered ALL of our questions with blunt honesty. After interviewing 3 other companies, going with Mr Roof was a no brainer. It made since to go with a company that'll be around for decades in the future. They were able to get or roof done sooner then expected. FINISHED IN ONE DAY. Very flexible with payment. Always friendly. Most importantly, our roof looks and functions amazingly. Will be using them for every other need in the future.
I had a new three dimensional shingle roof put on in 1995, in 2017 I am still very pleased with it. Living in a very rural and high wind area and having multiple skylights on my roof I was worried. I just wanted to thank them for doing such a good job, so much so, that I can use my money elsewhere 22 years later instead of replacing. The whiners always speak the loudest but the happy customers typically don't bother to say a word. Thanks Mr. Roof.
We had a great experience with Mr. Roof. George from Sales was great to work with. The price quotes we received were right in line with what we were expecting to pay. George helped us pick out the perfect color shingles for our house. The crew finished the job in one day, just as promised. They did a great job cleaning up. All nails and debris were removed. I would highly recommend Mr. Roof.
A recent storm blew some shingles off my roof. I was shocked when they said they could be out the next day. They only quoted me $350 to fix the 5-6 shingles that blew off and to secure the shingles that were loose. They showed up the next day and fixed everything within a hour. They even noticed an improperly installed vent and included it the $350 price. Overall it was a great experience.
I'm finding nails from time to time still that have either fallen out of the gutter or off the roof but other than that, my overall experience was great from the initial meeting until the final inspection. The installers were fast, efficient, and paid attention to the details. They even moved the roof vents to the backside of the home which improved the overall appearance of the home.
The whole experience was wonderful! Carmin the sales representative was excellent and respected the social distancing. He was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect! Adrian and his crew arrived on time and did a wonderful job! They were very professional and worked really hard on our large roof to make it perfect. I highly recommend Mr. Roof!
We had our roof done by Mr. Roof in 2016. Their prices were slightly higher than other quotes, but when we factored in the better shingle quality and lifetime warranty, we came out ahead. They completed the job in one day, protected our plants and shrubs, and left the worksite spotless. Highly recommended!!
Mr. Roof did our roof, and did a fantastic job. The price was reasonable, the materials were high quality, and the staff was professional. The turnaround time was impressive, and their staff did a terrific job of cleaning up. I was surprised by how little the experience disrupted my life.
Mr. Roof was one of three roofers that I researched and I'm so happy that I chose them. They gave an informative inspection and gave me advise that was helpful to match my new roof with my detached garage. Price was average to a bit more than I wanted to spend, but it was worth it.
I loved my experience with Mr. Roof. I had Brian Schroeder and he was magnificent to work with. A really professional guy. The best compliment I can give is that I'd Recommend him to my elderly grandparents or neighbors. I wasn't sure about using Mr. Roof, but loved it in the end.
Professional, timely and high quality work all around! Competitive prices, informative salesperson, and clean up was very, very detailed. They even finished the job in one day and better yet, three weeks before they said they would!! Highly recommend!
From the quote, to the installation, everything was handled perfectly! They were respectful and professional. Roof was installed in one quick day & we couldn't be happier. We will be using them for all our roofing needs in the future!
Excellent Service! The "TEAM" that showed up to do the work was fast, efficient, professional and courteous. So far we have used them twice on our home and garage. Wish we had more roofs to do!
Price was great, communication was great. Super quick service and great financing option. Highly recommend Mr. Roof, will use in future if needed! Our roof was complete in one day!
We were happy from start to finish. From setting up appts. to the finished job. They were done in one day when the temperature was in the 90's and the price was good.
Extremely hardworking Crew was on time, efficient and very respectful to my neighbors and my property I will only contact Mr. Roof for my future projects

My wife and I hired Mr Roof in Jan 2020 to install a new roof because there was interior leaking in a few areas. The sales representative told us not only did we need a new roof but all new decking as well. We opted to go with the top of the line roof offered in hope this would dissolve all issues moving forward. We didn't haggle on any of the options provided and truly wanted to do what was best for our new (to us) home. Mr Roof guaranteed 1 day installation which was one of the main reasons we chose to go with them as it was winter. This was not the case. The crew showed up at our house and asked us what they were supposed to be doing, and there was a frustratingly difficult ability to communicate with the head roofer due to language barrier. We had to get our sales rep on the phone to explain the job to the crew, their "ultra light weight trucks" (which was in actuality a huge dual rear wheel heavy duty semi-truck with a lift) tore up our yard when this was a selling point that they by no means would damage the yard, and to our surprise the installation was not completed in the one day as promised. We hadn't planned to take both days off of work so when we arrived back home after day 2 of Mr Roof being on our property we had noticed all of our gutters were gone. The crews had disposed of them while on site. Then around 6 months after installation in the spring of 2020 our roof started leaking again. Mr Roof sent an inspector (Leroy) out that was down right disrespectful and nit picked our home that we have worked so hard for and told me that it is a waste of his time to come out because clearly our siding and windows were the cause of the house leaking but took it upon himself to "fix it" with some caulk. Taking his feedback to heart we have now had all 30 windows replaced and our very large house resided. To our surprise yesterday morning my wife woke up to yet again our roof leaking in the same places that we had issues with prior to getting a new roof in the first place. My wife called Mr Roof 4 times before getting a response and someone coming out to my home, leaving a message to call her back directly (they called me at work instead.) The same roof inspector from the spring showed up and informed my wife and I that the leaking we were experiencing (next to electrical panel in my kitchen) was not a roof leak and in fact from ice buildup, "NOT MR ROOF'S PROBLEM AND NOT COVERED BY THEM". Shortly after he left my wife heard some dripping and walked up to our second story to find our ceiling caved in and water flowing all over the floors (around a 2ft by 3ft section). She called the inspector back and he again told us our roof was in perfect condition and this was not a roof leak but ice that was backing up under the shingles and coming in. He claims we need heat tape on the roof which we had prior to the roof replacement and Mr Roof told us at the time of contract signing we would NO LONGER require the heat tape because we would have proper ventilation and a "Leakproof membrane on the entire surface of the roof prior to shingles going down (ice guard)" Clearly this is not the case. This "Ice Guard" that was upsold us by our sales rep Craig was assured to create a waterproof layer that when combined with extra venting (again another upsell which we bought) would "eliminate the possibility of any water getting in" I've attached the description that Mr Roof uses on their website below. It looks like we aren't the only family to have this problem. Mr Roof - since you refuse to stand by your work and continually push off responsibility, your warranty is worthless to us. I would like a refund and an apology.
The day my wife and I called Mr. Roof led to one of the worst business experiences of my life as a homeowner. We initially called due to a leak in our flat part of the roof. The initial visit was fine. Our salesman Derrick seemed both knowledgeable and enthusiastic to perform the job. After physically going up top and inspecting the roof, he gave us a reasonable quote and told us we would receive a call to perform the job within the next 2-3 weeks, and contract was signed on September 9. Then the trouble began. First, I received a call from the scheduler saying the earliest I could be seen was Halloween (6 weeks from contract date, which exposed the first lie). Then, a week before the installation was to occur, I received a call from my salesman Derrick (yes, the same Derrick who said my roof would be no problem and gladly took my deposit), and he now told me he could no longer repair the roof leak. His reason? Because we have a chimney and railing on the roof. When I told him I could remove the railing, he said his project manager told him the chimney was the real issue, and that he couldn't install around one. Apparently, I am the first homeowner in the state of Michigan who has a chimney. Oh, and the kicker: Remember how I said the purpose of my call to Mr. Roof was to repair a leak on the flat surface of my roof? Well, Derrick said he couldn't fix flat surface leaks now, but that if I would like to fix a non-leaking part of my roof on the other side of my house, they could do the job. I don't know if they were trying to get out of a booking conflict or some other reason for such an absurd excuse, but needless to say, I declined. I look forward to the auto-reply from Mr. Roof I'm about to get for this post, saying "I'm sorry but that doesn't sound like us." Well, I'll be happy to provide you with evidence that this is EXACTLY who you are, a third-rate company that doesn't deserve the one-star Yelp forces as a minimum to review you. If anyone else reads this review and decided this couldn't happen to you, then that is on you.
I hired Mr. Roof to redo my 50 square roof based on the lowest total price. I was impressed by the speed at which they completed the job and how well they cleaned everything up. The crew was also very friendly and accommodating. A few weeks after the job was completed, we had a big rain storm. During the storm, we noticed our upstairs ceiling start to get wet and eventually start to drip. WE had never had a roof leak prior to having our roof replaced. The next day, Mr. Roof sent out a repair guy to check it out. He said it was the flashing around the chimney and redid it. After the next rain the problem was better but not fixed. They sent out the repair guy again. This time he said it was our chimney cap and charged us a lot of money for a custom stainless steel one. Next rain came, same problem. Repair guy came back a third time and said it was some bad bricks on the chimney. We hired a contractor to fix those and the issue seemed to go away for awhile. A different Mr. Roof repair guy came back last week who caulked the chimney and said it would stop the leaking until we had the entire thing replaced. They would also refer us to a contractor who could do the chimney overhaul. Well... It rained again yesterday and the leak is worse than ever. They also never referred us to a repair contractor like they promised they would. Remember, our chimney never had a leak until they replaced the roof. I don't think that's a coincidence. It clearly needs fixing now, but it was fine before. I'd say Mr. Roof is leaving us high and dry, but we are actually low and wet :( I don't mind paying to get the issue fixed at this point, but they won't even help us with that. I really wanted to recommend these guys based on the initial experience, but I now know that their service after the sale is abysmal. That expensive chimney cap they sold us was the icing on the cake. Don't be sucked in by their prices. You get what you pay for.
I would not recommend Mr. Roof to anyone! The warranty will NOT be honored. They put windows in for us in 2004 and what a disaster that was. Installers were unexperienced and broke windows while removing them, with glass flying everywhere (I had to clean it up because they don't do that). They started putting in the wrong windows because I ordered and paid for ones with slots but these did not have them in it. I had no choice to have them put some wrong windows in or I would have had no windows for 6 more weeks. Scott said he would give us a discount if we kept the wrong ones that were already in and we said yes. When the installers were finally finished I asked for some kind of paper work and he said Scott would send it along with the final billing because he was working on the discount. Nothing came except a notice from our Mortgage company that they put a lien on our house for non-payment just 4 weeks after finishing the job! I called and of course Scott avoided me, he likes to hide behind the receptionist who said they did send a bill (no they did not) and we didn't pay it and she would resend one. We got it and it had a slight discount, $500 off the several thousands we paid for fiberglass windows. We paid promptly. Now we are having issues with the windows as have been told by Scott that they will not honor their warranty because we did not paid all the money on the contract and that they "settled" with us! OMG this company is a scamming company for sure, especially Scott who likes to make up lies to make himself seem superior to others. He is arrogant and downright a liar who likes to falsify things. Do not go with this company as there are many honest ones out there.
This is the letter I sent back to Mr. Roof with my final payment to them. It says it all. " Mr. Roof, I have enclosed a check for the remaining balance plus $175 for wood boards that were used above and beyond what was allotted to me. I am paying this in full even though: I was never told extra boards were being used and have NO evidence boards needed to be replaced to this extent. I was never afforded a walk around with the foreman and could NOT communicate with ANY of the people here due to a language barrier. I was trapped in my house by plywood and tarps over my doors and windows so I could not even see if boards were removed and to what extent. The gutter people and repair crew showed up unexpectedly without a prior communication to me by Mr. Roof. I run a business from my house and my salesman knew this, so crews just showing up is a disruption of my business. Live trees and bushes as well as landscaping edging have been damaged and will need to be replaced because your crew was careless and did not tarp the landscaping as promised by my salesman. The magnet to pick up nails was done minimally. I have picked up at least 20 nails, screws and pieces of metal. I had to pay my own handyman to come and inspect the job done because I could not communicate with the foreman. So, that fact you have charged me more and have not offered any sort of real apology is disgusting and unprofessional. Needless to say I will NOT be recommending Mr. Roof to anyone, will be giving Mr. Roof unfavorable reviews on Yelp and all social media platforms".
Schedule: For installation schedule, they changed many times because of bad weather which is fine but they are not available when weather is good, ridiculous! Job: Customer, beware for Mr. Roof sales person. I choose their top of the line product offered to me for my entire roof with lifetime labor and parts guaranty, I specifically asked there are couple of bow/bend on my roof will that go away when I have new roof, Mr. sales guy says absolutely it will be fixed. I made a mistake by trusting sales guy. After installation, I contacted him who didn't response my email. Contacted office then he called back and used offensive words, swearing. Be professional Mr. Roof! He denied his promise. I still have bow in the front of the house. Looks very bad. Now he is saying it is structural problem. Why he didn't tell me before, so that I can fix the structure before installing the roof? Post installation: There were a leak. I contacted office and they send a person who pointed out Mr. roof is not responsible for this as leak is coming from facia/siding. Then I contacted again and they send the installer who installed the roof, who looked into this leak and found some of the spot was missing and he repaired it. No leak since then. Mr. Roof why you sent unskilled person to waste my time? There was yard sign, contract was for 90 days, it was on my yard more than 120 days and they didn't even come to pick up until I give them timeline. From beginning to end I had extremely bad experience with Mr. Roof and I am extremely unsatisfied with their service.
Signed contract for work in April. Crew assigned late May after I called to ask about delay where I was on their install job list. Crew called and said would be there in 2 days. Day 1 after 10am to say not coming due to rain. It wasn't raining, but cloudy. Day 2 called at noon to say would arrive 2pm. Arrived 4:45pm and left ladder. Day 3 called 10am to say not coming as a member had gone to ER the day before. Day 4 called at 10am to say 'on way'. When they still had not arrived by 12:30 I called Mr Roof to request a different crew. Mr Roof asked how far along the job was. I stated they hadn't started yet. Mr Roof said they would call and inform contractor he was removed from my job. Contractor arrived 20 mins after I hung up with Mr Roof. They dropped off building supplies despite knowing they were not going to do job. Then collected ladder and left to get lunch. No communication with Mr Roof for a month. I called Mr Roof end June to say materials were still here and being damaged by sun rain heat. I asked if there was any crew assigned to me. They said a crew was available to start the next day. Day 1. Crew never arrived. I called Mr Roof at noon and 4pm, left message asking for info but never heard back. Receptionist suggested someone would call me next day. I left message that no crew should come until I spoke directly with SE Michigan regional supervisor.
The first of all, I would never use or recommend this company to you. Due to the heavy wind damage to our roof shingle, our insurance company agrees to pay the work for replacing with new roof. When I first contacted the Mr. Roof's estimator/sales, Matt Phillips, this guy made a lot of verbal promise and brag the product he was trying to sell to me, including discount insurance deductible, the time commitment to the installation work, the pre-tarp of the weak spot before the work starts for free of charge, selling me so called "Rubber shingle' which had not been accepted by the roof industry as standard and a roof solar fan installation which he claim will have 5-8 degree temperature lower in the attic during the summer, but in reality it never function as what he claimed. Now they are fighting for the cost of pre-tarp work which they supposed to cover due to their delaying for the new roof installation and cost of solar fan installation which I have asked them to remove it and credit me back. A lot of hidden and vague wording buried in the contract and so called lifetime warranty will become legal issue in the future. Again please be very cautious if you really have to deal with this company which I strongly discourage you.
DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT order from this company unless you have all the time in the world (and then some) to wait for your installation. My roof was installed almost immediately and from what I can see, it was done correctly and is beautiful. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE STOPS THERE!! The person they call a "manager" at the Ann Arbor location is condescending, unprofessional, childish and the list goes on. When you don't fall for all the run around tactics he tries to stall you with, the infant manager starts to act as though he can not hear you, he can not understand you, he doesn't comprehend what you are asking. This company clearly does not care for the customer once you've signed the contract. Simply put, once they have your money, you can kick rocks. Please, please for your sanity and for the sake of having the work done in a timely manner, do not use this company. If nothing else, definitely avoid the man child who works at the Ann Arbor Michigan location. He will be very very upset if you interrupt his Lego playtime with your bothersome order issues. The reviews here are misleading. Unfortunately I learned this the hard way. Check out the reviews over on Yelp. The reviews on the Mr Roof website are complete b.s.
We had our roof replaced in 2012 and tried to follow all rule. we called for an inspection after 5 years and was told that we didn`t need the inspection till after 10 yrs. after 8 yrs we noticed a leak around our skylight, ( that Mr Roof had remove, damaged and reinstalled the same skylight, with the damage that they did) . We contacted Mr Roof and was told that because we had skylights ( that did not come from Mr Roof) the guarantee was void. We read the contract over and over and found nothing stating anything of the kind. The salesman that we had did not say anything to that respect. The woman we spoke to argued with us several times over the course of 4 years and our roof still leaks. the woman finally told us that they no longer service our area. This I am sure was their way of not honoring their guarantee. I have since contacted Mr Roof and talked to a manager who promised that he would take care of the problem and call me back after a meeting with the GM. After a week, ( the meeting was suppose to be 2 day after my talking to him),I still have not heard a word and I have called Twice since . After this experience I would not recommend Mr Roof for anything. their guarantee is worthless.
Mr. Roof came to my home in April of 2019.Two weeks ago we had a lot of rain and my ceiling became wet. I called Mr Roof because they said they would have someone out in 24 hours. Well, two days later they came to my home and stomped around on my roof and said it was my windows leaking. I pointed out the fact that the windows are three or four feet away from where we were seeing water come in and the water would have to go up the roof. I suggested to them i just wanted them to pull back the siding and look at flashing to see if it was okay.they said it was raining and he will come back. When i didn't hear from them I text my salesman and called their office the guy on the phone said no they wont look at the flashing under the siding it's my problem and yelled at me. He finally said he would send the guy back out. The worker called yesterday and said he will be out at 3pm.No call no show. I text him and he said he would call and come back out.guess what? No call no show. I attached the text exchange with the worker that was supposed to come out.still no call no show. Please DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
Terrible customer service! The day of my install the crew showed up on time. They left less than an hour later without saying a word. I called the guy I had been working with, Derrick Yates, no answer, voice mailbox full. I text him asking what's going on. No response. After another hour I call the office, the "project manager" had stepped out. They promised a call back in 30 minutes. An hour later I call the office again. After being on hold I finally get Derrick. He states the project manager said it was a full re-deck job and they couldn't do it. I remind Derrick that I showed him the attic space and he told me it didn't need to be re-decked. He said he would talk to the project manager and get back to me. I ask him to call me back within the hour. That was at 10:50 AM, it's now 3:50 PM. No call back. Terrible. My wife reminded me that as she was leaving for work the crew that had shown up was giving each other piggyback rides while running up and down my lawn. Unprofessional. Buyer Beware.
I didn't purchase from them because they sent the biggest A hole of a salesman out. Couldn't even give end a written estimate. He dogged every company out there like Tittle brothers, kroll and a few others. He said I was dumb basically for wanting more than 1 quote. This company is a joke. They won't make it another 50 years in my book. They are liars as well. They still trying to charge the top inflated prices for materials even though they have been normalizing the last 2 months. Still elevated but not the 500% it was up that they are still trying to get. Don't bother with these dudes you just overpaying because they want to advertise too much. No thanks. Update: mr. Roof wanted $10k for a roof. Another company has me at $5500 for the same type of shingles and has a quote in writing unlike Mr Roof and they only show you on the iPad. I'd rather pay for a roof than all the advertising Mr. Roof wants you to pay for. Go with small companies for better value.
Representative from Mr. Roof failed to show up for roof inspection/estimate appointment despite a confirmation call and appointment reminder from Mr. Roof via text the day of the appointment. I left work early to meet with the rep, who didn't call to say he would not be there. Received a voice message the following day stating the rep was double-booked and couldn't visit my home the night before. Regional manager called 2 days later saying he could do an estimate via satellite and attic access wasn't necessary, even though I had been instructed to clear out the closet with attic access before the scheduled appointment. Contacting Mr. Roof for an estimate was a complete waste of time. Update 11/13: Kirk G's response to this review refers to me as a 'valuable opportunity'. I am not the opportunity Mr. Roof chose to disregard. The missed opportunity was in failure to build a working relationship that could lead to a sale.
Do not use this company. They selected the color of our chimney without asking, and after taking over a month to get us scheduled, they wanted the work crew to rush. They then put the wrong color shingles on the house, trashed the yard and even though they claim to pick up nails, we found more than 50 in/near our driveway. They broke the gutters and claimed they were bad, damaged our downspout and left it, claimed they didn't, dropped nails in my yard pond, and damaged a form-fitted pond liner that was being stored next to the outbuilding. They place blame on everyone. Even when I asked that a leaf blower not be used on nails because it was causing them to scatter, I was told that EVERY company does this. Just don't do it. My never leaked roof now leaks. I have pics if there is any doubt.
When I contacted Mr. Roof at first they told me they don't do 1.5 car garage probable because it's not worth there time for something that small. I called back to let them know I also needed gutters and the girl said she talked to her boss and will give me quote. But strange thing is she told me they will just google it to see pic and give me estimate from that. Sounded kinda strange but never the less I never heard from them which I thought was pretty unprofessional. I called Tittle roofing and they were out in couple days to actually look at it so I went with the more professional company. I would look else where besides Mr. Roof if they can't take the time to call customers and tell them the truth that they didn't want the job to begin with I can only imagine what kind of job they really do
Deplorable. Unethical. Zero integrity. Poor workmanship, with no accountability and zero effort to correct or admit to their mistakes. They put a roof on my mother's home that was poorly constructed and developed multiple leaks in the attic as well as a serious mold problem. They were called out twice to see and fix their mistakes, and instead denied there were any problems, denied that the leaks and mold (from their new roof) were a result of their bad roofing. Do I need to say more? My 80 year old mother had to buy another roof, and pay out of pocket for mold eradication, and seek legal counsel for recourse...only to be stonewalled and outwitted by a large corporation with a bigger pocketbook for buying a mediator than her social security benefits could afford to compete with.
This company called Mr.Roof did my roof sometimes ago and since that job was done, my house problems and issues began. If it is not gutter problem, it is down spouts problem. I have been trying to get them to come and take a look at the leak coming directly into my living room area. From their office they concluded it was Chimney issue. Since then efforts for them to come and evaluate the extent of damage to my house has been resisted. The arrogance and nonchalance with which they are responding to me is mind-blowing, despite the life-time warranty they sold to us. Someone doing business with this company is at his or her own risk. Will not recommend them even for free.
I had called Mr. Roof to have someone come out and give me an estimate and after a week no calls from anyone to schedule something. So I called them back. They gave me some nonsense excuse than because the property was a rental they usually waited until a salesman was going to be in the area anyways because landlords don't show up. I would think my second call would have been an indication I was serious and while I should have been immediately offended to suggest I was that unreliable I asked for them to have a salesman contact me but after another week still no one called to schedule anything. I guess they just really didn't want my business.
Absolutely horrible. They lie and talk about professional work done by their own crews but a family showed up to do the siding with ancient equipment. One was pregnant and 2 were under 18 years old. The crew did a terrible job, didn't finish, and didn't clean up. Had to wait months for this sorry crew to show up and another 2 for the crew that was supposed to fix it but instead of undoing the poor work and redoing it as the contract stated they just further polished the turd. My house looks like shit and they are threatening all kinds of fees and excess. This company is a SCAM. They sell you on professionalism until you sign a contract.
Roof and gutters installed 2009 . Had to have them return on several occasions for poor workmanship. Now 2019 I found they did not install gutter apron on just one side of home resulting in gutter failure and wood deteriation. They were also suppose to replace all bad wood on south west side of home. If you only want repairs that last 10 years these are you guys. Warning do not use them. I reached out several times also without a return phone call. Finally spoke with a so called manager and they disowned the whole situation. They wouldn't even send a guy out to look at the problems. DO NOT USE AND WILL NOT USE AGAIN.
I would NEVER recommend this company. I had a quote from someone that was more expensive and went with mr roof because it was cheaper and I deeply regret it. There are obvious issues with the work they did that are visible even to someone who doesn't know anything and roofs. They did a terrible job with cleanup leaving a TON of nails and wood behind. They also damaged the inside of my home and will not take responsibility. Read the contract you sign before you sign it! It says they are not liable for almost anything! Definitely do your research and go with someone that won't rip you off, even if it's more money.
Do not ever do business with this location, went to have a small leak fixed. It took multiple times of the guy coming out to "repair" it and still never finished the job. The man quit answering his phone and the managers never got back in touch with me. My husband had to repair it himself, and found all the guy did was put three inches of caulk in our siding. Now they are fighting for us to pay for a job they never did. I will never contact these people again and urge anyone else needing roofing work done to do the same and steer clear of this place. Awful awful. If I could give no stars I would.
After several calls to Mr. Roof and not being called back, and when I say several calls I mean 5 or 6 at least, I finally did get in touch with someone. We finally set up an appointment only to be stood up. No one showed up, no calls, nothing. The next day I get a voicemail from Mr. Roof asking how our appointment/estimate went. I called them back and the lady that answered the phone seem surprised no one showed up and asked me to hold. Several minutes on hold I hung up. At this point no one has ever followed up. I wouldn't recommend this garbage company to clean up my dog crap.
I paid Mr Roof more than $30K for a new roof and the very first winter I had a leak, a big leak, gallons of water. I called them, they said too bad because our warranty doesn't cover ice dams. The second winter it leaked again, same place, called them to get a quote for fixing the bad area. They said send pictures, so I sent pictures. Never heard back from them. The prior roof was there for more than 25 years and never leaked once where it is leaking now. If you want a company that stands behind their work, Mr Roof is not what your looking for!
I am very dissatisfied with the new roof installed by Mr Roof in July. Very careless work that damaged wood siding. They work very fast and do a sloppy job. Plastic roof trim was left without removing thin hanging shaves that they say will be removed with time by wind. Their response to wood siding damage was that wood was rotten but it was not, as confirmed by painting company that i hired to repair damages done by Mr Roof. After spending $20K on the new roof such poor installation is unacceptable!
nfortunately this company can be a ripe off. I got a quote on a roof & separate quote on facial & gutters on rental properties in Dearborn & in Detroit. The quote for Dearborn was reasonable but Detroit quote made me wonder how truthful this company was. I believe they give highest quote then talk price down if you decide not to go with them. The sales rep likely keep the difference as his commission. I dont recommend Mr. Roof. I went with a different company for better rate and they did an awesome job.
I had my roof installed in 2003. The company told me that shingles they used had a 30 year warranty. Well, shingles started to deteriorate badly. When I contacted the company, they offered to replace them but I had to pay for labor. The guy who they employ me gave me an estimate after looking up my house on Google Earth?! And it was extremely high. So, why is the company using bad quality materials and then trying to make me pay for their poor choice of poorly made materials?! Unacceptable!
If using MR Roof be very careful of how much plywood they use. Count the sheets as soon as they get there. And count them when they get thru roofing the house. Because after they finish with the roof you have no way to prove how many they used. They charged me for 13 sheets @$ 65 dollars a sheet. There's no way they used that many sheets. But you can't prove any different after the roof is on. So please count the sheets when they arrive on the job. I'm very unhappy with that company
Replaced roof in 2015. We went with top tier warranty. In August I had a window replaced & contractors discovered a leak that was dumping water behind the siding. Contacted Mr Roof. They set an appt to check out situation. They cancelled & asked for pictures. No repair or follow up. I have reached out 3 times - no response. This company should be investigated for warranty fraud. They are quick to take your money & non existent if a problem developes

We had a fantastic experience with ELM Roofing Co. and can’t recommend them enough! From start to finish, they were professional, punctual, and incredibly easy to work with. Amir, the project manager, was especially impressive—he showed up on time for the estimate, submitted the quote promptly, and was able to schedule our project during the rainy season, which we really appreciated. The crew started exactly when they said they would and worked efficiently and respectfully throughout the installation process. When an unexpected change order came up, Amir clearly explained what was needed and communicated the additional costs transparently—no surprises, just honest, professional service. Best of all, they completed the project in under a week and even took care of a few small requests we had to ensure we were 100% satisfied. If you're looking for a roofing company that delivers quality work, keeps their word, and truly cares about customer satisfaction, ELM Roofing Co. is the one to call. Thank you, Amir and team!
