After discovering we had a leak in our roof that damaged the ceiling drywall inside our home, my contractor recommended I contact The Roof Masters to get a quote to repair the leak and interior drywall. I contacted The Roof Masters shortly after and met with Chris Lugo who investigated the damage, educated us on how to make the repairs, demonstrated the quality of the products they use and then quickly provided a quote to get all of the work completed. As good consumers, we got several quotes from other businesses and though it took us abut a month to make a decision, Chris frequently checked back to make sure we had all of the information we needed. It was interesting to me that he was not aggressive in any way, with respect to trying to get our business. His honest and polite demeanor is what really “sold” us (along with the product they represent). Once we decided to move forward, we were asked to pay a deposit (which the other companies would have required as well, to commit to a schedule) and we were then very quickly added to their calendar. Our site coordinator, Luis, led a team of 6 people who showed up on a Monday morning. The job was to include removing/reinstalling solar panels, removing all the very old tiles, replacing some wood boards and installing the new roof system. I was incredibly surprised to see how fast they worked together. The whole job was done in under 3 business days. Chris and Karen (who works in the office) both kept us up to date on the process and what to expect at each step. I’ve provided some before and after pictures. Once the roof work was completed, Jorge was sent over, with proper notice, to begin the three-day process to repair the ceiling drywall – including removal of damaged areas and some insulation. He did not rush any of the steps. Instead, he took time to make sure he aired out the area, let installation of new drywall dry and then returned to paint. Jorge took great care to keep any mess contained to one area, leaving the area clean every day. I was amazed at how methodical and careful he was and today, one cannot tell there was ever any damage. The Roof Masters’ entire team was fantastic beginning to end. They are courteous and easy to communicate with and from our perspective provided excellent value. I would very much recommend them for the services they provide.

I recently had my roof done by Roofmasters and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. Rudy handled my contract and pricing with patience and care, clearly explaining the materials, warranties, and process. He even called me back while on vacation during my install to answer questions, which shows his incredible commitment. Rudy also coordinated shingles where my solar panels would go, installed a beautiful tile roof elsewhere, rerouted some vents so I could maximize solar panels on my south roof, and returned after the solar installation to retile around the panels and repair any tiles the installers broke. Alex managed the installation, and his crew was professional, efficient, and respectful. They arrived on time every day, answered all my questions, and left the site spotless. Roofmasters didn’t even take full payment until the final permit approval, which gave me complete peace of mind. The city inspector confirmed it was a very well-done roof. I highly recommend Roofmasters for anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and customer-first service.

I recently had the underlayment on my roof replaced by The Roof Masters, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. Their estimate process was incredibly easy and transparent, giving me confidence in my decision. The team was prompt, professional, and courteous throughout the project, making the whole experience stress-free. What impressed me most was their efficiency—my roof was completed in just a few days without compromising quality. Every worker was respectful and focused, ensuring the job was done right. Plus, I didn’t even need to be home for them to do the work, which made everything even more convenient. The cleanup was thorough overall, though I did find a few nails left behind, however they were hidden in high grass or behind trashcans. If you're looking for a roofing company that delivers top-notch service with a hassle-free process, look no further than The Roof Masters. Highly recommended!

I found Roof Masters through Yelp after already collecting a couple of bids from other gutter companies. Based on their size and reputation, I expected their quote to come in higher—but to my surprise, they were actually less expensive than the others. Not only did I get a better price, but I also had the peace of mind that comes with hiring a well-established company. The customer service was excellent, and the installation crew was truly pro level. The whole process was smooth, efficient, and handled with care. Gilbert was my sales rep, and he—along with the project management team—made everything seamless from start to finish. FIVE STARS to the Roof Masters team. Highly recommend them for your job!

I received 6 quotes for my roof replacement, and The Roof Masters stood out from the beginning with Chris performing my inspection. He gave an excellent fist impression and my wife and I received a very thorough and competitive quote.Their quote, workmanship warranty, and Chris's "spot on" professionalism stood out so I hired them for the job.I got on the schedule quickly and job foreman Alex and his team executed my re-roof in just a few days time. They were always on time, very courteous and cleaned up very well every day. Alex made sure all my minor cosmetic details were addressed, and he worked very hard to make sure I was happy. My wife and I are very pleased with our new roof thanks to The Roof Masters !

I got quotes and visits from four different companies. Rigo at RoofMasters made me feel very comfortable from the outset. He gave me a very competitive quote, and the team of installers were professional, clean and friendly. A job very well done. One thing though - this is a MESSY job internally. I recommend that you consider an attic clean out after a roof replacement. As for the outside, RoofMasters kept everything clean and safe at all times. Job was done in a couple of days, and no problems since!

Just want to say how pleased with service I received from Chris and Brianna. Roof Masters was an excellent company to have replaced my whole roof and repaired the chimney. They were timely and, always responsive to me. Their crew worked efficiently and timely. I would, highly recommend Roof Masters for any roofing needs needed.

ROOF REPLACEMENT WITH SECOND PARTY SOLAR PANELS: Everyone worry's about replacing a roof, to most people (like me) everything is going to go wrong. The, "What IF's" take over. How do we find the right company to accomplish such a vital and expensive task? Our answer is, you contact the Roof Masters Company of Vista. We shopped around compared and found ROOF MASTERS. Here's where the rubber meets the road; The Roof Masters Company of Vista CA is a very professional roofing business. The company is fully licensed, A+ rating, and very personally friendly. Very knowledgeable, and roofing experts. Karen the office contact took us through the getting started told us what was going to happen helped us pick a type and color and of tile, and put us in contact with Rudy the owner. Right from the start Rudy, the owner of Roof Masters kept us informed of all the steps that were going to occur. The solar panel removal, what we should expect before, during and after old roof removal, types of tiles available for reinstallation, Roof Masters is flexible (an example, at the last minute we changed the color of tiles, no problem), how the new roof was going to be reinstalled, the reinstallation of the solar panels (which was very important to us we had a million questions, they calmed our nerves). If we had any questions at all they answered them right away (no matter how trivial) and as professional as possible. At the end of each day we received a debrief of what occurred by the job Foreman and what time they would be back in the morning and what was going to happen the next day. They were on time everyday ready to go. At the end of each day they cleaned up after themselves. Nails were picked up and all trash was removed. We have not found one nail. Also, a garage overhead light broke loose during installation and swung down, the job Foreman saw me trying to fix it and came in and and helped me secure it so no one would get hurt. We thank the crew: Rudy the owner, Karen coordination contact, Angle the job supervisor, and Luis the on site job foreman. We cannot say enough about the coordination with other companies involved that Roof Masters has, SUNRUN and Remi Roofing and Construction. To us it all went smoothly no issues involved. Everyone and everything was totally transparent. They all seemed to say Customer Service is # 1. We would heartedly recommend ROOF MASTERS CO to all.

We needed to replace our underlayment due to aging out and a few spots of damage. Ramon Solis came out that day and took pictures, measured and got back to me a few days later with a great bid. Deal! The crew showed up right on time every day. First the soar team then the roofers. They cleaned up at the end of each day. Never bothered me for the bathroom or anything really. Brianna kept me up to date with each step and Ramon checked on the job to be sure we were happy. I now have a 50 year roof with ice and water barriers at all the valleys and tricky spots. My solar arrays have been picture framed and sit down on the roof much more cleanly. I'm glad I picked Roof Masters for my job. Wonderful quality work and a great value. Every homeowner needs to at least get a bid from this company. You'll be glad you did. BTW - I am a retired commercial carpenter that worked for the largest construction company in the US, Anning/ Johnson. As a Project Coordinator, I do know what I'm taking about and was especially impressed with the quality of the crew doing the work. On time, clean and efficient. Thanks again for the wonderful job on my home.

I am so happy that I chose Roof Masters to roof both my house and Mom's. Their free estimate was very competitive; and to be expected, the final price was a bit more due to unseen wood damage from age and rot. But the job foreman, Chris, had let me know beforehand what extra charges could be incurred, such as wood replacement and removal of extra layers of shingles. The roofing team worked quickly and efficiently, they were neat and organized and the removal and re-roofing process only took two days, they worked like a "well-oiled machine"! The guys were all very polite and courteous, quick to respond to my concerns and text messages, respectful of our property, cleaned-up well after each day, and they did an amazing final clean-up under the direction of coordinator Angel. I recommend Roof Masters for a Quality Job that is a good value for your money and done by a Great Team that want your complete satisfaction.

Our tile roof was in very bad shape with a lot of water damage to most of the fascia and a leak spot on our ceiling. We interviewed 7 companies for a lift and re-lay. We used a scoring system and The Roof Masters came out #1. They are a local company with an A+ BBB rating and a C29 roofing license and many favorable reviews. The value was excellent. Paint and power wash was included and price was competitive. We saved a few thousand dollars on the price. I had several questions during the project and was always able to communicate easily via phone, email or text. Our roof looks great now. The underlayment we chose was the double malarkey but they have other options. Our project manager was Gilbert, our foreman was Santos who were both outstanding. The ladies in the main office were always helpful and respectful. We highly recommend this great company. Many thanks!

Roof Masters was amazing! Ramon came out quickly to take drone pictures and gave me multiple quotes ranging from a tune up, to a lift and lay, to completely new tiles, and even shingles. They were the best priced out of all 6 quotes I received AND they used the best quality products without making them upgrades like other quotes I received. They also provided the best warranty! While we waited for the rain to pass, the team tarped my roof and fixed the tiles they could so we wouldn't have more water damage inside. Then Luis and his team got started and they were also amazing! Extremely kind and always cleaning up at the end of the day. He was always texting me updates which I really appreciated. Now just a short amount of time later we have a brand new roof :) I would highly recommend The Roof Masters to anyone needing roof work!

The Roof Masters replaced our 30+ year old roof and were excellent to work with! Gilbert Magallon was our Project Manager and he was extremely responsive, proactive, and helpful in answering all our questions about their bid and about the project overall. They completed the full rood replacement in 2 days and installed new gutters in 1 day. Gilbert even had one of his team members come back out the day after the roof was installed to take a second look at something that we had a question about. Everything was perfectly fine but my wife and I appreciated their willingness to go above and beyond to provide excellent work and service. We explored 4 bids total and The Roof Masters was the most affordable of them all while also being the best to work with during the bidding process. 10/10 would recommend.

We hired Roof Masters to completely redo our roof last summer, and we couldn't be happier! We haven't had a single issue since the work was finished -- solid proof of their excellent craftsmanship. Project manager Gilbert did the assessment and he was very knowledgeable and professional. The whole team of roofers was hardworking and very thorough. They showed up on time every day, kept the site neat and organized. They really take pride in their work, and it shows in the final result. Finding a reliable roofing company isn't easy, but these folks are the real deal. If you're looking for quality work and honest communication, the Roof Masters is the one to call. Highly recommend!

We had a really great experience with RoofMasters of Vista. After hearing horror stories of poor workmanship and huge bills for wood replacement with other companies, we interviewed a lot of contractors for our concrete tile roof replacement. Gilbert from RoofMasters came out promptly, answered all our questions and gave a very competitive bid. They even price match! RoofMasters was able to start as soon as our tile arrived and the crew was very respectful and efficient throughout our project. Brianna in the main office sent frequent updates and patiently answered all my questions. We were pleased with both the process and product and recommended them to all our neighbors

We recently needed a re-roofing for our home and, after getting several quotes, we decided to go with Roof Masters -- and we're very glad we did! Rigo came by to explain everything in detail -- the project scope, materials, and timeline -- and made the whole process clear and easy to understand. The work was completed in about 3-4 days, and communication was excellent throughout. Anytime we had a question, we received quick and helpful responses. Big thanks to Rigo, Brianna, and Santos for their professionalism and for making the project run so smoothly. We highly recommend Roof Masters to anyone looking for quality roofing work and great customer service!

Roof Masters is by far the most reliable Roofing company we have ever met. We had called two other companies for a quote and were told that we needed to do a lot more than we needed!! Roof Masters reviewed our roof and gave us a quote for only parts of our roof that needed to be fixed. Unlike the two other companies that told us the whole roof needed to replaced. Hiring Roof Masters was the best decision we have ever made!!! We recommend Roof Masters to all of our neighbors, especially since they are senior citizens, and will not be taken advantage of by Roof Masters. Thank you Roof Masters ..

We had The Roof Masters put on a new roof on our 2,220 sqft home. They were expedient in coming out to give us a quote and did not try to hard pitch a sale. They had a competitive quote and excellent communication. They quickly pulled the permit, worked cleanly and efficiently when they said they would, and left an immaculate finished product. All of their employees were polite and punctual. The service was exceptional from the administrative staff and paying our invoices was easy and painless. Great company, great value. Highly recommended.

Great company. Owner very responsible and personable, most importantly hands on and involved to make sure the company provide quality servise. Team was on time starting the project and cleaned after finishing each and every day. They finished on time even though additional work was added to the project after they started. Rogelio (Roger), the forman in charge of my project was professional and very helpful providing information about my flat roof and fascia boards. Over all a great experince. I highly recommand Roof masters.

We requested a free inspection from The Roof Masters and Rigo (Project Manager) came to assist immediately. We got a couple more quotes from known roofing companies but The Roof Masters gave us the best deal for the work needed on our roof. Rigo Oceguera was very efficient and good in communicating on the timeline and what to expect during the project. He sent the best team of roofers headed by their foreman named Chuno. The whole project was done very quickly and our roof looks like brand new. Highly recommended folks!

Ramon and his crew did a FANTASTIC job replacing the 30 year old underlayment on my condo. They brought in a large crew immediately after signing the contract, knowing that heavy rains were coming. Their guys worked their tails off to get it all squared away in time, and I truly appreciate that. The final product was done with professionalism and expediency. Great supervisors, hard working crews, top notch communication, excellent results. Thank you for going the extra mile for this job. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 5 stars!

This is the best company to deal with. I had a roof leak at my business and called a couple of other companies, and they made me feel like I had a major problem, but when I called the Roof Maters , Gilbert came and inspected the roof and assured me it was not a major work. They came the next day and fixed the roof for way less than the other companies. I will recommend this company, and when you call, just ask for Gilbert. He is very honest and humble in what he does.

Roof Masters was excellent to work with! They responded quickly and scheduled an appointment right away. Since we told them we were in escrow and on a tight contingency timeline, they sent over the inspection report very fast. The inspection fee was fair, and the report included detailed notes, photos, and even a repair cost estimate. Their professionalism and efficiency made the process so much smoother. I highly recommend Roof Masters!

The rain and strong winds would not wait for us to come home from Italy to repair our roof. Jonathan at Roof Masters professionally handled the entire roof replacement work details with us via phone (9 hours ahead of California) and email. The roof was completely done in just two days right before it rained again. Brava servizio eccellente!! Grazie Mille Roof Masters!

My experience with Roof Masters began on March 29th when they installed a skylight for me. Unfortunately, what followed was a cascade of issues that left me deeply dissatisfied with their service. The day after installation, rainfall revealed a significant problem: the skylight leaked. I promptly reached out to Roof Masters to request an inspection, which, after repeated follow-up calls, they eventually arranged. It took two days of persistent efforts on my part to obtain an update on the status of the inspection. Upon examination, it was discovered that the installers had failed to properly seal the skylight, resulting in the leak. Remedying their oversight required an additional two hours of labor to apply caulking and mastic. To compound matters, a Roof Masters employee onsite exhibited a lack of professionalism by blaring loud music, causing discomfort to both tenants and workers in the property. The repercussions of this flawed installation were extensive. I was forced to incur an additional $850 in expenses to repair the damage inflicted on the drywall and insulation, necessitating the installation of new materials and a complete repainting. Despite assurances from Roof Masters, including promises of reimbursement for the damages caused by their negligence, the resolution has been frustratingly elusive. Follow-up calls to the Operations Manager yielded little progress, with promised deadlines passing without any meaningful updates. Furthermore, when I sought clarification on their warranty, I was met with an unnecessary hurdle: access to warranty information was contingent upon signing a document labeled as "Final." At this juncture, I am left questioning Roof Masters' commitment to rectifying their mistakes and providing satisfactory customer service. The lack of accountability, coupled with communication failures, has left me profoundly disappointed in their professionalism and integrity. While I remain hopeful for a resolution, based on my experience thus far, I cannot in good conscience recommend Roof Masters to others. I will continue to monitor the situation and update this review accordingly. UPDATE Disappointingly, April 12th came and went without any communication from Roof Masters. After leaving a message for the Operations Manager on April 17th requesting an update, I followed up with another call on April 18th. To my surprise, I was informed that she still hadn't heard back from the owner. As the Operations Manager, it's concerning that she hadn't been able to communicate with the owner for over two weeks, especially considering the urgency of my request and the promised timeline. What's more frustrating is the lack of proactive communication on their end—I had to initiate contact to inquire about the status of my request. This delay and apparent lack of urgency give the impression that Roof Masters is dragging their feet, perhaps hoping I'll forget about the issue altogether. Additionally, when I inquired about their warranty, I received an email stating that access to warranty information requires signing a document labeled as "Final." This requirement seems unnecessary and raises further questions about their transparency and customer service practices. See attached picture of the email they sent me. Overall, Roof Masters' handling of my concerns has been disappointing, to say the least. Their failure to adhere to promised timelines and their apparent reluctance to address the issue in a timely manner have only added to my frustration. I will continue to pursue resolution, but based on this experience, I'm left with serious doubts about Roof Masters' commitment to customer satisfaction and accountability. I urge others to consider these factors before engaging their services.

Do not use them. Their “project managers” are just salesmen and do not manage the project. The night before my project was supposed to start, they realized they hadn’t chosen the color shingles needed. The next day when the arrival window was 8-10 I got told at Noon they didn’t have the materials in stock. The next week when the project was supposed to start at 7-10 no one arrived until 240 PM and they didn’t have the Materials they needed for the project. The next day they didn’t give me any arrival time but someone actually snowed up and did the roof repair. The worker themselves have done good work. However, the management seemed to have completely forgotten that replacing the waterlogged dry way in the kitchen ceiling was part of the project and had no plan for it weeks after I signed the contract. They told me they would arrive between 8-10 but then at 1015 I get a text saying they would arrive between 12-3PM. I have taken off work every one of these times and no one shows up on time or ready to do the project. Additionally, my insurance has called me many times asking my to get an itemized estimate and that they need before and after photos of the damage, and repairs. I have asked the manager to make sure this is done by the workers but every worker that shows up has no idea even though they said it would be. The management has not provided myself or my insurance rep any itemized estimate although I have been asking for a couple weeks. This company will give you attention until you sign a vague contract and once you have promised them payment, you are ignored while they mismanage the project at every opportunity. I picked this company based on their rating but I wouldn’t be surprised if their ratings are done by bots. Again, the workers have done a good job, but the management is a scam. I do not know if it’s apathy of incompetence.

Sorry... they are much too busy right now! At least that is what I was told on the phone, too busy to take on 1 inspection, too busy to provide an estimate of cost, even too busy to discuss future work. We only need a rough estimate and aren't planning the inspection for at least a few more months.... nope, sorry, don't have time for you, simply too much work and too too busy! Got it, they don't need or want our business... very short sighted. will find a different company to work with. Response to owner: Thanks for your immediate response to my review, very impressive that you were able to dedicate your busy schedule to make time. To imply any other company that has better customer service than yours (whether busy or not) would not be a “GOOD” or successful company is humorous and transparent. I also asked to schedule in advance to get a proposal and was given a flat out NO over the phone, so there will be LOTS of opportunities for future work, they will just go to a company that regardless of how busy they are, still insist their employees at every level (including whomever answers the phone) maintain professionalism and customer service. It’s a small world and word gets around. Good luck!

Waited 3 weeks for a roof inspection/estimate for both a leak and solar panel installation. Got a call on scheduled inspection day that they would need to reschedule due to rain. Understandable except they were not pushing all appointments back accordingly just mine. Seriously they stated we are booked for another couple weeks so need to reschedule your appointment after we take care of other people first even though I had already been waiting. Told them to cancel and I would not be doing business with them. This business berated me publicly online with an unfair response that I refused a follow up appointment and basically called me a liar. The representative told me explicitly that ONLY I was being rescheduled due to rain not ALL the appointments. Not only will I never do business with them I will post other reviews and tell people about my experience.

I feel like I got conned. I'm sure they did a fine job (although I have no way of knowing), but they gave me an estimate and then went thousands of dollars over that even though I made it clear in a number of conversations I was on a budget and needed them to just replace the wood that was absolutely necessary. And they didn't communicate in advance how much more it was going to be. My neighbor just had her entire roof replaced (same exact size) for almost half of what Roofmasters charged.

So disappointed. I called them to get a roof inspection that unneeded for my insurance renewal. They stayed they could not help me because I wasn’t interested in any repairs. They could not perform inspection unless I was going to need roof repair or replacement. I own several properties that may some day need repairs but sadly due to this experience I will not be considering roof masters.

Beware! We have tried for a year to get Rudy, the PM at Roof Masters to honor the contract and finish the job. The flashing still needs to be completed and we have pooling water which will significantly decrease the lifespan of the roof. Their response: when it leaks we will fix it. What a disappointment.

Not for new builds! Angie's referred them. They advertise "new build" but won't bid from plans. "We have to come out and measure after the framing and roof sheathing is on"?! That would put a new build project weeks or months behind depending on material availability.

If zero star review is available, i would give zero. The main problem with this company is that they don't take responsibility when problem arises. Another problem is they tried to charge hidden fee. I had solar installed on my roof in the beginning of Dec 2020. For that solar project, I also included re-roofing work since my roof should be already around 35 years old. The solar installer sub-contracted the roofing work to roof masters. Our house has some additions in which the roof of those additions is only 10 years old so I decided to not include those parts in the re-roofing work, thinking that i would save money as roof on those parts are relatively new. The job was completed in the middle of december. 2 weeks ago (middle of january 2021) we had heavy rain for several days. On the first day of the rainy day, the roof leaked and water leaking down into my bedroom. I collected about 2 ~ 3 gallon of water that night. The spot where the water coming down was about 2 or maybe 3 feet away from the roof that was re-roofed. The solar installer first sent a roof inspector (not from roof masters) to inspect. He removed roof tiles at the area where the water leak (i.e., not the roof part that was touched by roof masters) and found no problem there. The water must come from higher place (which is roof part where roof masters did the job that meets the part that is notnpart of the job). Looks like the area was not sealed well so water sipped underneath the paper and flow down. Rudy came to do another inspection and as soon as he came and took a look he claimed that his guys did a good job and the leak is not their problem. I have lived in the house for a little bit more than 5 years in which we had many heavy rain days and we did not have any problem. Right after they did the re-roofing, I have leak and all he said was that it is not his problem. Now i have to fix the leak that they caused myself. A good company takes responsibily. This company does not! I saw many good review here which in the beginning when my solar installer said they had roof master handles my roofing work made me feel good. I guess things are fine when we have no problem. When problem occurs, they just refuse the responsibility. Regarding the hidden fee, after they did the re-roofing, back in mid december, I got a call from the project coordinator telling me of the addition payment needed for roof work. I was informed that roof masters claimed that they replaced some wood board/panel on my roof. I did not see any wood board / panel replaced during their work on my roof. The charge was more than $900 and i recalled the claimed wood replacement was not big anyway. They should have showed and consulted with me first for thing like that which may incur additional charge, yet they did not and tried to charge me at the end, without any evidence. I refused and as soon as i said "no" they waived it. It was enough to tell that this might not be done and they may just try to squeeze extra money! Here is my response to you, Mr. Rudy. - obviously you want to avoid responsibility. I have given up trying to solve this issue with you anyway. I never thought that you guys are so generous, not only re-roofing my roof, you guys gave bonus of leak. My hope is that ppl realize that when they had you for the job, it is like tossing a coin. If there is no problem, everybody is happy; however, if there is problem, do not hope roof masters to take responsiblity. This time, i lost in this coin toss. That is fine. Lesson learned. - regarding the demand for extra $900ish, you can claim it is false statement but you know your conpany tried to squeeze that money from me in the mid dec 2020. I will not argue more as this demand was not written but verbally asked to me. - about hostility. You can ask your crew when they spent more than 1 week here (btw, the lead of the crew told me they will finis the job in 2 or 3 days when they first got here but turned out it stretched to more than 1 week. I did not complain anyway). When they were here, my wife regularly sent out bottled water and snacks for them and now you said we were hostiled toward your crew? We had contentious phone conversation because after we find out the "bonus" you gave us in our roof, you refused responsibility and we had upsetting conversation. This was what happened yesterday. - lastly, i did not want to spill all the beans but now i feel it may serve ppl a service so they can judge. On the last day of the roof job, your crew told me that they have cleaned up the house surrounding from nails but i may find one or two left. That is understandable. However, the first few days i collected significant amount of nails (i.e., around 20ish); even one month after that (till now) i still occasionally find nails you guys used. I have developed a habit to walk slowly around my house once a day to find nails in hope that as time goes i can find them all before my kids step on one of them.

ABSOLUTE DISASTER, please do not hire this company because you will regret it and your roof matters! Work started on our home on December 4th and today is January 26th and the project is unfinished. The roof is leaking and the company is NOT taking responsibility for it whatsoever. This is AFTER they did NOT complete the estimated work, and sent workers who put in shoddy, hurried labor (while the owner was out of town). I am a business owner as well and I'm horrified and livid that this company operates the way it does and treats its customers like clueless idiots, which we are not. The foreman did not even make contact with us while he was here, which we found to be rather rude and unprofessional, especially after us pointing out things that his team clearly missed. It would have been nice for him to do the walk-through with us to ensure that our concerns were met, but he did not even offer. Perhaps it was because he was nearly 2 hours later than he was scheduled to be here, or he simply didn't want to face the fact that he was not properly managing his crew, while they were here, but in any case, seemed like he slinked away rather than address us (lateness was a problem a few times). After this recent rainstorm, we have noticed leaking along all of our outdoor HVAC system connections directly from the vents. The company says this isn't their responsibility even though THEY took the HVAC system off and replaced it. So their substandard sealing is quite obviously to blame. Furthermore, we were sent a change request for work that was clearly not performed on our house. There is no indication whatsoever that the facia was replaced as agreed upon and as billed. Seeing this makes me doubt that the other wood was replaced as well and without photographic evidence. Here is everything documented briefly below. 1. Rescheduled solar removal for a day later at the very last minute causing my son to miss a baseball tournament 2. Misquoted the bid to repair our ceiling due to oversight by your sales guy not recognizing the actual damage 3. Damaged ceiling while in a bedroom while removing HVAC (a room that shouldn't been impacted) causing debris to fall on my wife and I while sitting below 4. Interior remodel team was late more than 1.5 hrs late causing major disruption to my workday without any notice or indication until we reached out to inquire 5. Crew performed a pretty sloppy job in general on the roof leaving several spots missed that even a layman like myself was able to notice immediately 6. Crew left a significant amount of trash in the gutters and on the roof not cleaning up after themselves. 7. Issued a change order for replacement work agreed upon in the contract only to find out that work was not completed despite me signing the change order. I've actually had to send this one to my lawyer for review. 8. Foreman was late more than 1.5 hours after time agreed-upon, again, with no notice prior to his tardiness 9. Foreman did not greet or interact with us whatsoever during his apparent final walk-through. 10. HVAC connections apparently are not fully sealed. Also, it looks like a small, portable speaker that we had been using in our side yard "walked off" our property at some point while your crew was working on the project. Its been TWO MONTHS and we are still dealing with the ineptitude of this company. Don't let it happen to you.

Poor, or no follow-through on work related damages! I think the true and best measurement of a company is how they respond to a problem. In this respect, Roof Masters (R.M.) gets an "F". First: I wrote a superlative review of R.M. in March, right after they did a re-roof on our house in Sabre Springs. Correspondingly, I referred them to various neighbors and friends who were having roof leak issues. Sadly, I need to withdraw that review due to recent developments that reflect very poorly on Roof Masters and their owner, Rudy. Almost the same day I wrote the review, we noticed 2 problems that looked to be associated with R.M.'s work. 1) There were paint or stain marks on our front stone walkway, and 2) The top of our aluminum patio awning had dents in it. (It is contiguous, but about 3 feet below the roof line.) Neither were there before the roof work. R.M. owner, Rudy, was quick to respond to my call about these problems. Sending someone to remove the stains took longer than first indicated. Then they insisted it wasn't something related to what they did. In a condescending way, he indicated they cleaned it anyway, even though it wasn't of their doing. While initially taking responsibility for the dents on the awning (his foreman also agreed...it looked like tiles or something heavy got dropped on it from the roof above), his response over the next few weeks devolved from there. Not only did he not follow up when he said he would, but when we finally did talk next, he indicated, 1) He couldn't find anybody to do the awning repair work, and then in an apparent contradiction, 2) How about if we split the repair bill? Are you kidding me? He wants us to co-op the repair from damage associated with their work???? I was shocked! I was also done with the conversation and anything else to do with this company - except editing my original review of them - after that phone call. Last comments: 1) While we never saw R.M.'s people actually do the damages in question, these problems weren't there before the re-roof, but were noticed shortly thereafter. They were also in the same area that work was done. 2) R.M./Rudy seemed focused on defending his work crew from the beginning, rather than any effort to understand our position. 3) Without directly saying so, Rudy seemed to imply from the beginning that perhaps we were trying to get something for nothing. We have never, EVER, tried to get something for nothing. Not from anyone, or any company. That peripheral insinuation is maybe the most offensive aspect to this entire debacle. So - this is how we were treated by Roof Masters after spending $11,650 with them! There should be a "zero" star rating. One star is too high. (FYI regarding reviews.... during our re-roof job and conversations with Rudy, there were a number of thinly veiled offers of price concessions for certain job aspects, in return for good Yelp reviews.)

First I did not use The Roof Masters for a new roof because of completely false information they and their GAF manufacturing rep gave me regarding the30% Federal Solar Tax Credit. If I had listened to them it would have cost me thousands of dollars to the IRS. After they inspected the roof and agreed the roof needed to be replaced the GAF rep brought up the subject of adding solar panels. They then claimed, with 100% certainty, that by adding some solar panels the entire cost (new roof and solar panels) would qualify for the 30% Tax Credit (see photo from Roof Masters). When I said it doesn't sense since the new roof does not generate solar energy, they again said they were correct and the decision was a no-brainer. So after they left I sent the information to my accounting firm for their review. They concluded RM and GAF were 100% wrong and only the cost of the solar panels and parts to install and connect qualify. If I had listened to them I would be on the hook for thousands of dollars with the IRS. The exact wording from the accounting firm was "From the information you provided, it seems that the roof replacement of $26,661 is just regular tiles and would not be available for the credit. Only the solar portion of $9,839 would be eligible for the credit. Therefore, it appears that the credit would be $2,952 rather than $10,950." In a follow up conversation with RM they continue to say they were correct and it was possible my accounting firm was wrong! When I asked them to add an addendum stating if the IRS disallowed any portion of the credit RM would reimburse me in full plus any penalty and interest that might be added. RM immediately said they would never include the addendum. So I contacted one of the other roofers who gave me a quote and explained the situation with RM and the tax credit and their reply was "the tax credit will only apply to the solar panels. It doesn't apply to the new roof." I also did a simple Google search, which you would have thought RM and GAF would have done, regarding the tax credit and came across a very good article. This article also completely refutes the claims by RM and GAF. Click the attached link to read the article. So if anyone for the rest of 2025 is considering using RM and they tell you by adding some solar panels the entire job qualifies for the tax credit talk with a tax advisor or do what I did and use another roofing company that is knowledgeable about the Federal Tax Credit. You don't need the hassle with the IRS because of what Roof Masters and GAF tell you. They have never admitted they were wrong. Source: A&R Solar https://share.google/WodctRa0VmxpGYBcK

This is absolutely the worst roofing company I've ever had to deal with. The foreman was never on the job. I called the superintendent who wouldn't return my call for three days . In the beginning they told us they would get into the attic to inspect to see if the house had plywood because it was indeed an older home. Which I thought they had indeed inspected to see if there was plywood under the tile. After the first day they had a major section of roof tile removed and told me we have some bad news. At that point they had told me there wasn't a plywood base and it would cost an addition 7 thousand dollars which they could have easily determined with a roof inspection. They also said they would finance the extra work making it easier on my 88 year old mother. They quickly took that back and said they couldn't offer that. They then asked me what I wanted to do after there was a whole section of the roof removed . All could have easily been avoided with a proper roof inspection that they promised they would do. My mother is an 88 year old woman that couldn't afford to be put in this kind of situation but they failed in their job multiple times. Their workmanship is very sloppy . The flashing on the house was poorly installed . There's paint on the brand new tile where they failed to prime fascia wood before installing like we asked . So now we have oil based paint all over brand new tile. There's section on the plaster were they cut groves for there flashing that for some reason they over cut . So now there's cut marks in the plaster . There's sections in the front of the house were there's damage on the shingles were there tried to get traction on the tile so now there's a lot of the covering worn marks. There's a section of wood totally missing that they damaged when they removed the roof . They failed to fix and now there's an opening right into the attic. Totally unethical these people are.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, RUN! We had a leak in August and got a bid from two providers for the roof repairs. One of the bids I received indicated there was a leak on both stories of our home. Carlos from Roof Masters said he checked the 2nd story, and there was no leak and the other provider was trying to charge more than was required. Before we signed with Roof Masters, I asked Carlos to come double-check to ensure only the 1st story needed to be repaired. (I have proof of our email correspondence proving I had concerns.) Carlos came over and said he checked the 2nd story, and we only needed to worry about the 1st story repair. As a result, we hired Roof Masters for the repair. Following the repair, USAA helped us find a contractor to dry the affected areas, treat the water damage, and repair the drywall, which cost several thousand dollars. We recently had significant rain. and I noticed a spot on our ceiling in the same area. I called Roof Masters, and they sent someone out to look who confirmed there was a leak on the 2nd story of our home that was missed so they had only repaired 1/2 of the problem even though Carlos said the 2nd story was okay. We now have to fix the 2nd story leak they missed and have all the internal repairs done again. My husband and I spoke to the owner, who said he was going to make it right. However, he refused to take responsibility for missing the leak on the 2nd story and then proceeded to send us a quote for an additional $2,995 to fix the 2nd story. He also refuses to help with the damage done internally. This company lacks expertise and has no ethics. They missed the leak on the 2nd story and refuse to take responsibility. Extremely disappointing, and I would definitely find another company if you want work done correctly also find a company that does the right thing when they've made a colossal error.

In 2017 Roof Masters replaced my entire roof and there was a 20 year warranty. In November 2022 I had a leak and there was damage to the ceiling. When I asked for some documentation they failed to send me any. I wasn't too concerned as I paid for the ceiling myself. In January 2023 I had water in the kitchen wall. I called to ask if they could come and check the roof to see if there was a leak. I was told they didn't think it was roof and would charge me $300 to come and see. THIS WAS FOR A ROOF STILL UNDER WARRANTY. I had to have restoration done as there was water in the wall. The plumber went on the roof and found a spot that was possibly the source of the water in the wall. I contacted Roof Masters and they did come out and I was told that it had been repaired. Still was not able to get documentation. On May 12 2023 the insurance company asked for documentation that the roof had been repaired. After several calls to Roof Master with no results I finally went to the office to request the documentation that the roof had been repaired. I was told there was no documentation for "call backs" . With multiple text messages and phone calls I am still trying to get documentation. They have sent 2 different people out to check but still no documentation. I am starting to wonder if the work was actually done. I would be cautious about using this company as I have never encountered a licensed contractor who doesn't keep detailed documentation of their work.

I'm extremely disappointed in this company. I saw the great reviews and decided to call them for an estimate on a roof repair....I called to set up the appointment and they answered right away....we set up for two weeks out on a Friday. With over a week to go they called to reschedule as the technician that was coming out was now going on vacation they asked if they could push it out and reschedule...I agreed and we changed it to that Sunday at 8:30AM....then I received another call three days prior to my rescheduled appointment to see if they could move it out just a few hours.....I have a leak on my roof and it's been incredibly rainy (right now it's raining!) and I cannot take a chance on a company when each time I hear from them they push my day or time out. It's too bad because I was going to ask for a complete re-roof....this is why you don't do this to people. I will be totally honest and tell you that when I told them never mind I can't keep doing this (rescheduling - as my leak continues to get worse) they then said oh never mind then we will come out when we said....I just said forget it....I can't trust that they will follow through. I always keep my scheduled appointments as I am also in sales...it's the most important way to build that initial trust when starting a good working relationship.

This company is all over the map and although I understand office help is needed, it's imperative that when it comes to getting construction done or work done on your home you speak to someone with knowledge about the project. I made an appointment with these guys last week and they cancelled on me after I flew home from Chicago to meet with them and one another company to get an estimate. I work Out of town so I let them know I needed the estimate show that was wrong and then have them do the repair as soon as possible. I was very clear in my request and I set them up with the time frame that I had but because they have so many people working their appointments nobody talks to nobody and you can't get real answers and then come down to it they rescheduled due to the rain it didn't even rain during my appointment time. On top of that they're a roofing company!!! and coming out to give an estimate during the rain is exactly when you want so someone can actually see the leak! Pretty important to being able to fix the problem. I just felt like these people were all over the map. Come to find out they didn't cancel everyone's appointment... Horrible customer care Maybe cuz I had a small project wasn't worth their time.

I called to ask for an estimate for a roof replacement. The lady who answered the phone set up an appointment and said that I was not required to be present for the inspection. "But don't they need to go into the attic to look at my roof?" I asked. "No", she replied. I explained to her that I have an old house, she deferred. I pressed her a third time and she transferred my call to Johnny. Johnny and I discussed the old roof and agreed that Skip Sheeting and wood shingles with a second layer of asphalt shingles was indeed important to know for a proper estimate. I then set up an appointment. A few days later Leon came out to give an estimate. His estimate is for tear off of 1 layer of existing roof and install of 17 squares of new shingles... I have had three previous estimates. All the other people looked in my attic and their estimates include tearing off the 2 layers, laying down new OSB or plywood and then installing the new shingles. I am not impressed with Roof Masters. I can't afford to hire a company and give them multiple chances to mess up my roof.

I started a project with Yelp and this company responded. They asked if I had mold on my roof. I replied no but I did have lichen. They stated that they are not able to treat lichen on roofs. I'd not recommend this business for removing lichen. From the Company spokesperson: "We don't handle mold or lichen removal -- just moss and algae, since those are the real troublemakers we see most often on roofs in San Diego." From a search: " A lichen is a symbiotic relationship between a fungus and a photosynthetic partner (algae, cyanobacteria, or both)." From the company spokesperson: "In my 20+ years of roofing thousands of roofs, I've hardly ever come across mold or lichen here (they're more common in damp, shaded climates)." My conclusion: lichen is part algae. The company does remove algae, but apparently when the algae becomes symbiotic with Cyanobacteria to form lichen, then the company won't treat it. Therefore I stand by my original statement.

Worst customer service from Rigo the project manager. They were suppose to coordinate with solar people and of course they did not even though they had 4 weeks to do that so once solar is done than waterproofing can be done so the new roof they put on doesn't leak. Everything mentioned to Rigo about what was being done and now we are hit with hidden costs of waterproofing after solar is complete because not listed on contract even though it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know this is what needs to be done with the new roof. (We got a solar bid from him but he denies it even though we have the written estimate, it was to high). This guy just wants to hit you with hidden payments. I have a business of my own and never would I tell my clients to pound sand when it's damn clear what's needed....this is a loser way of making more money on clients. Run from Rigo!!

Terrible customer service and communication with this company. Signed an agreement to have my roof repaired. No body showed up on the scheduled day (Monday). On follow up they said they could come Wednesday as they were having crew shortages on Monday. I agreed for Wednesday but their crew showed up on Tuesday now and wanted to start working, i was like sure thats fine. It was supposed to be a 2 day job but then nobody showed up on Wednesday or later in the week after first day of work on Tuesday. No communication and no messaging. Work is not done and nobody seems to know anything when i call. Nobody calls back and they don't reply to messages, the worst sort of customer service i have experienced recently. Not reliable and trustworthy for sure. Be careful.

Scheduled for a solar estimate Saturday 9am-10am. No show, received a call from Rigo around 9:20am. Didn't acknowledge that he's no show or late. Just asked what type of panel I have and asking for my electrical bill. He said he'll work on and send me the estimate over the weekend. So, I'm expecting to learn much more about the whole process, details, and definitely need more information than the price estimate. Also, my time is very important to me. This is not a good start at all, very unprofessional. So many red flags. Canceled my request for estimate. Saving myself on future headaches.

I requested an estimate for my roof. Juan came out and did an inspection. He quoted me a price and said I need to pay a $1000 deposit to get job started. Then pay half at the half way point and the rest upon completion. I agreed to the terms. After getting permits, someone from their office calls me and says they want half of the payment upfront or they won't do the job. I called Juan to find out what's going on. He never called me back. Very disappointed.

Not for new construction! Even though they advertise new build, their "Policy" won't allow them to bid from plans. They want to measure and bid AFTER the house is up. I explained that I needed the roofer ready to work the minute the roof sheathing was up, but was told "we can't do that".

Had them come out, spent an hour chatting / having them review the roof. Received a quote back, asked a few questions and never heard a peep after two months. Why waste your time and mine? Also I am sure they do good work but their quote was significantly higher than others.

I had them come for a quote last summer; they were trying to convince me that I need the whole roof pulled out and get all underlayment replaced for an mere 27K. I got two other quotes at about 4K, picked one and my roof is just fine after the rainy season.

They will not quote a roof job unless you first pay $ 100. What if they are the most expensive quote? That is ridiculous.

We chose Roof Masters over others due to their competitive quote. Unfortunately, we had many issues throughout the entire process that included poor communication, quoting, professionalism, and cleanliness. Due to an improperly done quote, they tried to charge us an extra ~$4k for side roofs that they said were not included and an extra ~$5k for rafter work. However after some discussion/debate it was determined that the side roofs were in fact included in the original quote, but 3 "squares" were missed ($500 extra). Initially we agreed to have 8 rotted rafters replaced at $250/each, but then we were told that the wood sitting on top of the rafters was different than they thought which would be an additional $5k. Again, after further deliberation we decided to only have the rafter tips replaced by a subcontractor they frequently use. Next, there was decorative tile that had not been put back on until I caught it during a routine walkaround. We were never told that they wouldn't be putting back on, so we requested they do so. During the work there was garbage just thrown over the roof to the ground, covering the walkways and front lawn. The work was supposed to take about ~4 days, but took about 10 days due to all of the issues encountered. After the work was complete, the city failed our fist inspection due to lack of communicating to us that we had to unlock back gates to access the side roofs. Although we had many issues, the work itself seems good which is why it isn't a 1 star review. What really struck us the most was that I caught the workers DRINKING ON THE JOB. We even found an empty beer bottle left behind with other trash. I informed the project manager about it and was informed that it was not the first time it had happened. All of this was completely unacceptable. And to top it all off, I was offered a $500 refund TO NOT WRITE THIS REVIEW. It's unfortunate that we ran into so many problems, but at least the project manager was really nice. If you choose to go with this company, make sure to get the quote done thoroughly and make sure to go through every detail up front. Hope this helps you make a more informed decision. Good luck.

Used these guys for a roof job which they did good on. Asked for a gutter bid and that's where the trouble began. Had to ask and follow up with them 4-5 times just for the bid. When we got it we went with it and assumed it would be the same squared off gutters we had before and painted to match. Unfortunately we were wrong. Initially the guy said they would paint to match. Then he stopped by unexpectedly before we began and asked us to pick up colors. The colors we picked were a close match but definitely not the same. We got a cheap looking gutter . We got gutters that don't match our stucco. They through our old Leaf guards on the ground causing them to bend I told them to please straighten out and Re use and they fought me on that. Stating they were installed backwards before. Even if they were they could have been Re installed correctly after being bent back . So we were up charged another $575 for new ones. So here we are looking for our own painters (they didn't have a guy) cheap looking gutters and up sold on leaf catchers all after I had to beg for the bid. Lesson learned. If u have to chase the bid. Follow your gut and don't hire.
