Years ago, Joe Ochoa did some repair work for me. I thought the price was fair, and the work was done well enough that it has survived even until this day. On 07/03, I called because we were expecting bad weather, and I was hoping to get my roof fixed before the storm actually arrived. I was told that they were very busy, apparently because they would rather do roof replacements than to do repairs (so in other words, it was going to take some time before they would even give me a quote). At that time, I asked them to go ahead and get me into the queue. Since then, the storm has come and gone. The roof leaked and water is now in my wall and in my carpet,. I have called multiple times, hoping that I would have risen to the top of their queue. Each time, I was told that they would call me back, but each time, they failed to do so. Just today, I got essentially the same old tired story. No one is calling me back. The fact that I have already been waiting for a month doesn't seem to count for anything with them. The fact that my house is taking on water doesn't seem to create any sense of urgency or priority with them. In the meantime, my neighbors managed to get other roofing companies to come and fix their roofs, so sure, it's a busy time, but that doesn't mean that nobody can hire a roofer. I can't, but it is increasingly clear that I've chosen the wrong company. I don't know what's going on, but if I never rise to the top of the queue, then something is wrong. Imagine trying to get a call back if there was some problem with the work If they can't call me before the job, then what chance does anyone have that they will call when something goes wrong down the road.

We hired Ochoa Roofing to replace our roof, some trim, install gutters and other repairs in November 2024. As the submitted pictures reflect, there was some damage done to our hardiplank plank siding. We were promised the company would return in a couple of days to complete the undone work and repair the unsightly damage and exposure they caused; but they never returned or responded to us. After a few months of this abandonment, we decided to contract the repairs and remaining work with other contractors' outfits. The damage Ochoa Roofing did here was an unexpected and very expensive headache to deal with. Then, now six months later, Ochoa Roofing has reached out for the remaining balance in full. Outrageous!! They have been unreasonable and difficult to deal with and offered me a very slight discount if I would not report this and warn other consumers. I was sadly mistaken in trusting that this company would take good care of our property, do good work and be reasonable to deal with. They did not take care of our property or repair the property damage they did here. After all our hardship and extra expense incurred, I would not be able to recommend doing business with this company! Only a star in order to post this review. Otherwise...zero stars!

I called to get an estimate for a window/roof leak. Mason came out on a Monday, took pictures, and I also sent additional photos/videos showing the water leaking inside my home. He mentioned he would review the issue with Joe and arrange for someone to inspect the roof using a ladder. On Thursday, Mason told me Joe believed the issue was related to caulking around the exterior of the window and asked to return for more photos. I let him know I wasn't home, but gave permission for him to come by and take additional pictures (not sure if he even came). It's now been two weeks, and I haven't received follow-up from anyone with Joe Ochoa Roofing. I chose not to reach out due to the poor customer service and lack of communication. If the job was considered too small, I would have appreciated the honesty rather than being ignored. Fortunately, I found a reputable company who correctly diagnosed the issue--not caulking, but a hole in the roof. They repaired the damage and replaced all affected insulation and sheetrock. I'm grateful I went with them, as the problem was more serious than originally suggested.

Called them out to give a bid on a full roof replacement. "Lee" came out on September 13th. and walked through my requests - Roof, new Gutters, replace a damaged Skylight. He noted he was waiting on the arial surverys to finalize his bid and would contact me on Monday the 16th. Never heard from him. Sent a follow up email on the 23rd. - Nothing. Call them on the 25th. Was promised a bid that afternoon - nothing. Called them on the 27th again nothing. Call them on the 1st with a promise of a call back from Gabby - guest what - still nothing. Completely unprofessional way to do business. I get they are busy because of the Hurricane, but ignoring a roof replace + extra job? You would have to offer me a serious discount for me to even entertain keeping you in my bid list. Fail Joe Ochoa, Fail!!!!!!

I asked for a quote to have a patio extension from Joe's company. When Blake, the estimator, showed up he was totally clueless as what he was suppose to do. He thought he was here to fix the roof. I told him I need an estimate for a patio extension. After eyeballing my patio he told me he would get the estimate back to me later. When I mentioned I have gotten an estimate on the spot before, he said maybe I should go with the other company. He then proceeded to tell me that Joe's company will be the most expensive option since they have been around for 70 years. The company started in 1971. Lol Such a rude experience to have early in the morning. I would recommend everyone stay far away from this company when considering renovation needs. Blake did a terrible job representing his company.

Joe Ochoa Roofs put the original roof on our house and now that we're looking at replacing it, we felt it made sense to head back and use them again. We had to leave multiple messages both online and via the phone before they finally contacted us back and set up an appointment for a contractor to head out and provide a quote for the work. On the appointment day, the contractor never turned up, there was no contact from the company to apologize or explain what had happened and we again found ourselves leaving voicemails and email messages that were never returned. No worries in the end, we found another company that actually took the time to contact their customers and was more than happy to do the full replacement of our roof.

Save your money! Dealt with Josh Renner and had bad service with them from the beginning until the end and 2 years later. Had roof leaks all over and Josh neglected to help. Terrible experience. Left several messages on their office number and was told they were the answering service. Was able to talk with the owner thru the supervisor, Jose, as he knew I was frustrated with Josh Renner's lack of responsibility in the roof leaks. Plan on filling a BBB complaint.

Wow, Joe Ochoa roofing put a roof on my house in the late 80's knock your socks off service. Apparently the new Ochoa roofing isn't the same, had an appointment today, no call... no show. I guess the new Ochoa doesn't care about customer service. One thing I know is a given is that somebody will take me money it just won't be Joe Ochoa roofing...I know they have been in business since 1971 but if they treat consumers this way.. it won't last

These guys no showed on me twice in a row. I had to work from home twice and prolong my needed roof repairs.

Ochoa Roofing replaced our roof and also put cellulose insulation in our attic in May 2017. The roof was fine and survived Harvey, however the insulation was not installed correctly... it was done without an attic tent, without securing penetrations from electrical, plumbing, and lighting, and without sealing air leaks so as a result we have had a lot of dust in our home and we are concerned about air quality. We are having to replace the insulation just 18 months later when it should last for a decade. They were expensive. They were not professional insulation specialists and should have just said so. Save your money. Find higher quality, better priced, and more experienced professionals elsewhere.
