My HVAC system has not been working properly for about a month due to a leak in the copper line set. My current A/C company of over 25 years recommended a complete replacement but are unable to do the job themselves for at least 2 more weeks. I had hoped my system would be okay until then but it isn’t. As a result, I have had to reach out to other competitors in order to get this matter resolved. A very good friend quickly recommended Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning Inc., who had installed his Trane nearly 20 years ago. My friend praised them for their excellent quality of work, very reasonable prices and great customer service. That was enough for me so I contacted Bob Heinmiller Inc right away and explained to them my dilemma. The representative I spoke with then set me up for an appointment the following day to meet with KC, a former technician, now sales team member. KC arrived the next day and quickly assessed the situation. As a former technician with over 20 years of experience, KC understood the problem and agreed that a new copper line set was necessary. However, as an experienced technician, he also quickly deduced the reason for the fan not functioning properly on my compressor was likely due to a faulty capacitor, which it was. Luckily for me, KC had capacitors in his van and was able to replace it immediately. As a result, the compressor was functioning again in no time. While KC and I primarily discussed line set installation, I also requested he give me a quote for an entirely new HVAC system as well, which he was happy to do. KC explained the advantages of both without ever pushing or pressuring me into either option. What’s more, KC’s years of experience as a technician was a huge advantage because he was able to explain in great detail what both jobs entailed. KC also understood and greatly appreciated my loyalty towards my existing A/C company and was very respectful of my desire to first be certain they could not do the job before reaching out to a competitor. As of this writing, a final decision has not yet been made as to which company will ultimately do the work. However, I still felt it necessary to leave this review if for no other reason than to highlight KC’s vast knowledge, expertise and professionalism. Thank you KC!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning to install a new mini split air conditioner in my garage. Having previously worked with this company on a whole house generator installation, I had no reservations about calling them first to obtain a quote for the new mini split AC unit. Based on the fantastic results of the previous project, I was confident in their ability to deliver, and I was not disappointed. We had a really good experience with Bob Heinmiller in replacing our 15-year old AC! From the start, Patrick was available to answer all of our questions, and we had many of them! A new AC is a big investment, so we wanted to be 100% sure of what we were signing up for. We compared them to many other Carrier dealers, and even other AC brands, and felt that the service justified the cost! Patrick hands down is a patient, thorough guy, who will make sure you are happy snd understand everything! As far as install - so clean. Michael, Eli, and Team came out on time. They walked the site with me, and explained me the whole process. Even throughout the install, I asked questions and everyone was patient and kind and answered them to my satisfaction! Moreover, there was no rush to get the job done. It was all about doing it the right way. The team left the site clean, removing all debris. Moreover, the actual install of the inside and outside units were well done. Finally, the service team has been top notch! When you install a new AC and Thermostat, it's important that the setting reflect your needs. I called and spoke with Chloe, and she had a tech out to help me update my settings. Chloe called back later, checked-in, and even has a second follow-up scheduled with me for next week just to make sure everything is still running as I want it to be! Overall, from start to finish - it's been a good experience! I'd use this team again!

We were very happy with Bob Heinmiller AC a few years ago when they installed our whole house Generac so when it was time for a new HVAC system we did not hesitate to give them a call. From the very beginning I felt comfortable with the sales rep Patrick. Initially, even before inspecting our existing HVAC system, he took the time to sit down and ask about our HVAC needs and talked with us about the different options available. As promised, the next morning he sent us a quote with options. I was shocked to see the quote almost $6K less than the quote we had received from another well known AC company, for the same model units and installation. Patrick accompanied the installation crew, Eli and Louis, to our house, made introductions, got the work started and returned during the installation to make sure all was going well. We were very impressed with the knowledge and professionalism of Eli and Louis. They were meticulous about their work, always open to our questions, and took time to help set up, then teach us how to use the new thermostat at the end of the day. Always with a smile even though I'm sure they were exhausted ( it was a long install). We would not hesitate to recommend Bob Heinmiller AC.

Our 25 year old drain line had become hopelessly clogged with hardened sediments, such that it caused our AC to shutdown every afternoon in the summer. Using every drain line product out there did nothing to help. Tyler, from Heinmiller, finally told us the issue and gave us available options: 1) install a new drain line or 2) install a condensate pump. He thoroughly explained both options, how they would work, the costs of each and what they would look like. We went with the pump and he had it installed the next day in 2 hours. He had always been open and honest with us, which we greatly appreciate. Heinmiller service operators have always done there best to get us service when we needed it. We have them service our unit twice a year (spring & fall) as the climate here in Central Florida is hard on AC systems. We completely trust Tyler and Heinmiller to service our HVAC systems.

Professional and knowledgeable sales staff and an attention to detail, from the start Patrick made me feel like he was working with me from listening to my needs and concerns to thoroughly explaining everything in detail from the warranty coverage and what to expect when the crew arrived on install day. Thanks patrick ! The install crew of Eli and Lewis were exceptional they were on time and prepared to get me back in comfort again, high quality craftsmanship and even went above and beyond by replace some prior substandard work done by the last installers. They took the time at the end of the day to inform me on my new system and even offered a few thoughtful money saving tips. 2 weeks ago Heinmiller installed new 4 ton Carrier system. They installed a 2 ton system 2 years ago in another house I owned and that was a good experience. I am delighted with this new 4 ton. First, they were over $2K less than another large HVAC company for the exact same components. This also involved some limited duct work. The sales rep, KC, did an outstanding job, knowledgeable, very responsive. He even showed up to meet the install crew the day of the job and insured a common understanding on exactly what was to be done. The install crew of Michael, Eli and Anthony did a great job and the system is working perfectly. It Really does well in removing the humidity and we couldn’t be more comfortable Thanks, Heinmiller

Bob Heinmiller has been servicing our A/C units for YEARS and we would not think of using anyone else. Our Service Technician, Tyler, is the absolute BEST!! He always greets you with a smile, is always honest with what he sees needing fixed or added and never pressures you, but is always there with a good professional recommendation in our best interest. The office staff is also super friendly and has us scheduled a year out with our qtrly maintenance visits and Tyler always shows up on schedule and on time. I honestly can not think of anything negative to say about this Company or their employees.....and that is rare in this day and age. Way to go Bob Heinmiller crew, keep up the great work! 😍

I had an air conditioning unit installed by Bob Heinmiller and it was a great experience. Everything, from the initial proposal to the installation, was a pleasure. I had quotes from 3 companies and from the beginning I was impressed with Bob Heinmiller. Patrick, the Comfort Specialist, explained everything to me in the proposal and was always available to answer my questions, and to take my calls and texts. I was also impressed with the installers, Michael and Anthony. They did an excellent job, were efficient, and left everything neat and clean. They also took the time to answer my questions on the unit and on how to program the thermostat. I would highly recommend Bob Heinmiller.

From Chloe at the front office to Tyler in service, this company delivers! The folks at Bob Heinmiller installed my current AC system 14 years ago, and they’ve been providing outstanding service ever since. The technician has always arrived within the promised window. For both appointments this week, Chloe gave me a heads-up call when Tyler was on his way. Tyler was efficient and knowledgeable during my annual check-up and Chloe made sure that the needed replacement blower motor was available for installation the next day. I feel too busy (and yes, lazy) to write many reviews, but when a company performs this well, folks need to hear about it.

About a year ago, we had Bob Heinmiller run 250 ft of electrical line and install a mini-split in a building out back. Then 10 months later, one of our 2008 HVACs went out, so we called our buddy Patrick at Bob Heinmiller to run a quote to replace both our HVACs. They beat their competition (Cool Today) by a fair amount, and that was installing Carrier vice Rheem from the competition. Patrick showed up with the crew in tow for both installs. Each install (conducted about 10 months apart) were done quickly and professionally in a single day. I will be calling Bob Heinmiller for any future work that they can perform.

Our A/C was out for a couple days (had to get a new motor ordered), and my neighbor asked me “was there nobody that could get out here faster?”. My answer to that sums up our ongoing experience with Bob Heinmiller… I told him “there might have been, but I didn’t call anyone else because we trust our guy Tyler and wanted to make sure it got done correctly”. We have nothing but good things to say about BH, and they are our first and only call whenever we have A/C issues. That statement holds even more weight to anyone who knows what it feels like to even go 2 hours without A/C in Florida during the summer..

Patrick did an outstanding job helping me replace my 5-ton Carrier Infinity Series and continuing with Carrier Infinity Series. Great discussion about other options on the market, good and bad. Patrick was exceptional in his walkthrough and discussion and keeping me updated on every step in the process. Patrick hit every deadline he said he would. The install team was early and work diligently to get the new unit up and running. They were professional and courteous. Install team did exceptional, clean work and left no debris or garbage onsite. My thermostat has been malfunctioning since my new AC unit was installed (almost two years ago) and your new technician - Carl - repaired it today. He is excellent! He diagnosed the problem quickly, properly reconfigured all system settings, and made sure that the cooling/heating functions are working correctly. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and polite (e.g., he wore shoe covers to protect my floors and answered all my questions). I highly recommend him for any AC repairs.

I had Bob Heinmiller's A/C service diagnose the cause of the frozen evaporator coil in my central A/C. Richie R was the tech assigned, who determined that refrigerant was very low, caused by a leak in the evaporator coil. Richie made the necessary phone calls and learned that the part required was still under warranty. This man conducted himself honestly, professionally, and the work performed was quite to my satisfaction.

Called on a Friday night with AC issue during a very hot spell. Quick response from the company scheduled service on Saturday. The tech, Tyler, was on time, fixed the problem, and offered suggestions for what would be needed to improve the system in the future. Heinmiller has been our go to company for all AC and electrical work for about 25 years.

On 7/8/22, Bob Heinmiller installed an AC unit at my daughter’s, Vickie King’s, home. On 7/10/22, we paid in full $6,122.00 for my daughter. A few weeks later, when the AC first came on, the air was warm and had a bad smell; it was followed by cool air. I called Bob Heinmiller and they said that it was normal. On 8/10/22, we called Bob Heinmiller and informed them about condensation around the ducts. They stated that they need to add boot and duct seal around the ducts and it will be $65.00 each. They stated this would stop the condensation. They stated that they completed the boot and duct seal and billed us $325.00. The condensation did not stop so we informed them again of this. We did not pay the $325.00 at the time since they did not fix the problem. On 9/14/22, they sent a letter stating the house needs new ducts and they would furnish the materials and labor for an additional $10,780.00 with 50% down. Also, the electric bill increased. OUC completed an audit that states there is an issue with the AC. The audit also provides the history of the electric bill which shows a significant increase in the electric bill after the installation of the AC unit. We informed Bob Heinmiller; they stated that they would not come check it until we paid the $325.00. Therefore, we paid the $325.00. After paying, they stated that they could not come out to check it until September then they changed it to October. They stated that if we want someone to come out prior to October, we need to get another company. My daughter is hearing impaired and has medical issues. She was recently released from the hospital. The house has been and still is extremely hot. It is not a comfortable environment to promote healing. The unit is not working properly and it is under warranty; therefore, it needs to be repaired promptly. October is three months away and it is unacceptable, in this Florida heat, to expect her and her family to wait that long for them to come out to fix the problem.

We have a “whole house” Generac generator. A few months ago, the generator wouldn’t turn on, so we ended up calling Bob Heinmiller for service. The technician promptly inspected the generator, replaced the battery, changed the filter, and even convinced us to get the annual maintenance package. We were all in for more than $900 at that point. Thankfully, we were told everything was good to go with the generator! Less than 6 weeks later, we had wind and rain from Hurricane Milton that knocked our power out. Sadly, the generator (again) did not work. We called Bob’s office and were told it was one of two likely issues. Neither issue could have been caused since the tech’s recent visit, given the generator had not been used or even turned on. Due to the hurricane weather, Bob’s company was unable to come out and fix the problem, which left us without power for two days. Finally, we were told a tech could come out over the weekend, but only if we paid a service fee of more than $300!!! In other words, this company’s technician either failed to catch an existing issue with our generator or caused the issue himself, yet Bob Heinmiller refused to address it without charging another obscene charge. We declined to pay anything further to this company and instead relied on Duke Power to pull through while we search for another generac service provider. Absolutely ridiculous and infuriating customer service. I would recommend you stay far away from this company.

Bob Heinmiller responded to the Google review with, “Hi Julice, please call our office. Thank you”. My son called them with me on a three-way call. The woman who answered the phone at Bob Heinmiller stated that if my son removes the Google review, they will send K.C. out to fix the issue. My son informed her that they need to contact the Better Business Bureau. She responded by stating, “Better Business Bureau doesn’t tell us what to do.”On 8/10/2023, I received the response that Bob Heinmiller provided to the Better Business Bureau. My communication with Bob Heinmiller about the problems with the A/C unit did not begin on 6/13/2023; it began a few weeks after the installation of the A/C unit on 7/8/2022 and has been ongoing as stated in my complaint. The response stating that they offered to complete the duct work was after the installation which we paid in full $6,122.00 on 7/10/2022 and being charged an additional $325.00 for the boot and duct seal around the ducts which did not fix the problem. On September 14, 2022, they sent a letter stating the house needs new ducts and they would furnish the materials and labor for an additional $10,780.00 with 50% down. If the ducts were old and a problem, why did they not inform us of this prior to installing the A/C unit? Also, if the ducts are old and the problem, why did they call us stating that if we remove the complaints, they will refund the $325.00 and repair my daughter’s A/C unit?

Have been using Bob Heinmiller since 2018. I have purchased 2 generac whole home generators and had AC work done. No real complaint with the service, but today they quoted me for a compressor replacement. After stating the windings were shorted in my coil. I had another company look at it and they got my AC running. Found nothing wrong with my compressor. My AC has been running fine since the second company came out. It’s frustrating that I basically paid Bob Heinmiller $190 to misdiagnosis my problem and almost costed me $1200. I did get a second quote to replace the compressor and it was $995 from the other AC company. So if I did actually need a compressor, I would have gone with the second quote. But like I said, my AC has been running fine. Bob Heinmiller dropped the ball on this one. April 9, 2025 Update Called to have my generator serviced. When I gave the young woman my name she said, hold on I need to speak with her manager. Put me on hold. When she returned she said she there was a note on my account and she could not schedule my service appointment. I asked if it was related to my AC issue and she said yes. I put a stop payment on my check for the AC troubleshooting after Bob Heinmiller made no effort to rectify the situation and now they black list me after buying two Generac whole house generators and using them since moving here in 2018 for AC service. And my AC is still running fine. Thanks a lot Bob Heinmiller.

Terrible terrible. My landlord had two units replaiced do to age. Hienmiller came out and installed two new units it was great with in 1 and a half days done. Great job. That’s where problems started back unit keeps going out and I’ve had them come out several times to repair their mistake to one point where they broke my drop ceiling and light came out and repaired it. Still having same issue. They keep coming out and supposedly repairing it but two days later same issue. Finally I said please just fix it they said you need to install a water evacuation pump because the residual water will not drain. Landlord says for what never had this issue now why ? Then I asked them to make sure they service unit regularly they said they will call and give estimate but never did. Repeat consumer I guess they don’t need it , winter comes don’t really need ac so no problem , it gets hot start using unit again and same problem I call they tell me it’s out of warranty and it’s $250 to check unit. For what the problem you never fixed. Ok so o go in the drop ceiling and look to see the problem the drain has a u in it how does water flow with out pressure through a u shaped drain. It doesn’t so you want $800 to repair this ? It can be done for under &”$20.00 with a straight pvc pipe. Calling manager of this rope off company tomorrow. Ridiculous. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used them previously twice before and was great. Unfortunately this past service I will never them again. Had a clear leak in the evaporator coil and asked the technician if it’s worth putting in coolant based on the severity of the leak. He explained he was not sure (the reason I called him out). He then added refrigerant to our system, which lasted only 24 hours and come to find out was pretty dangerous and not approved by the EPA. Called back and told the lady the issue I had over the previous service and she said he added refrigerant, which is “environmentally safe.” All in all, waste of a lot of money and put my family at risk and they showed no remorse.

Make sure to get a second opinion before agreeing to any service or just save yourself time and go elsewhere. I was told my A/C had a leak and my system wasn't working properly. Quoted $660 for more Freon, and was told I need a new $15,000 A/C unit. A different company came by for a second look, they found no leak, and said my system is working perfectly. Bob Heinmiller is not a trustworthy company

Charged $199 for a quote and was quoted $1,900 for a plenum replacement. The tech said it was entirely labor and it would take 2-3 guys 3 hours. So each guy makes over $200/hr? Didn’t realize I was hiring three orthopedic surgeons to build a plaster mold. I called another company and they did a fine job for $850.
