Jared Tucker was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He gave us all of the information and facts. Did not try to sell us on anything frivolous.. he actually saved us more than fifty percent per year on the same service (plus many other benefits) compared to what we were previously paying. If you live in Florida, you know how important it is to have a working AC unit in the summer months lol! Jared drove over an hour, arrived at 7pm, fixed our issues (in the hot attic) and answered all of our questions.. then headed off for two more service calls! The heat in Florida can be dangerous and we are grateful that we called Momentum AC and were lucky enough to have Jared come to our rescue! Give them a call.. you will not be disappointed!! 🙏💜🙏

Had an amazing experience, out of a handful of AC company’s I’ve tried in the past this one is hands down the best. Josh Ruder was my technician and not only helped with my AC issues but shared his intricate knowledge so I had a better understanding of how my system works and what I can do to preserve it. Not only that, he also was not a corporate sales gimmick. He showed multiple options to help me save money with products rather than buying something more expensive that can do the same exact thing as something higher end. As well as giving me insight for the future of my system and the next steps to take when it is eventually time. I will always be using Momentum AC Services if I ever have issues with my AC in the future 👍.

We had an install done today by William at the house we rent. I've worked in ac for the last 18 years, so I know a good install when I see one. He did an excellent job. I highly recommend,if you live in the Tampa area,to contact them for your ac needs. Update to review: Aug 2nd we had Jonathan Flowers come out today to install the required heat strip in our new a/c system. What a great representative of your company. He was on time. Polite, personable and courteous. He's a great asset to your team of employees. Your office staff was great as well. From start to finish this has been a great experience with your company! Keep up the good work, there aren't alot of companies like yours around anymore!

We’ve had ongoing issues with our AC units, and Gary was by far the most thorough and helpful technician we’ve had. He took the time to explain all the previous replacements and repairs that were done before he arrived, which really helped us understand what was going on. My A/C broke down today — and in Florida, that’s an emergency! I tried to find a company in Sarasota, but no one was available to come the same day. We called Momentum AC in Tampa, and they arrived at our home in an hour. The price was better than other companies, and Rob was excellent. He quickly found the problem and fixed it. Then he checked both the outdoor and indoor units. He also showed me a mistake made by the company that originally installed our unit a few years ago — a mistake that could have caused a serious leak and ceiling damage in the future. Thanks to Rob, we avoided that. Highly recommended!

I had a different company come “fix” my Ac, they came out a few times sent different techs but the problem was only fix for a few days maybe a week or so before it just stopped working again!!! After loosing money and no progress I decided to call Momentum Thank Youuuu MOMENTUM for helping me the first time around!!!! Your tech Jerry was awesome very knowledgeable and very professional he explained to my husband what was the root of the problem in details and got it fixed the same day!!! It’s been a little over a month and this house has never been cooler!!! I will recommend you to friends and family.

Anthony P. and the Momentum team responded when our AC went out faster than any other company contacted. Anthony was professional and was able to visually show me the issue with the condenser and articulate potential solutions. After a fair estimate was discussed and approved, Anthony ordered the parts immediately. Upon his return trip, Anthony fixed the issue and performed diagnostics on interior vents to ensure everything was working properly. Despite dogs, children, and yard service distractions, Anthony was able to stay focused and do a great job returning us to comfortable cooling.

Aaron from Momentum AC was fantastic. He was incredibly thorough and took the time to make sure all our concerns were fully addressed. His communication skills stood out—he kept us in the loop, checked back in with us to make sure there were no misses. Even though he wasn’t able to resolve the AC issue the same day, he reassured us that we’d receive urgent treatment to get it fixed and said he would communicate directly with our rental company to help move things along. Juan was awesome! Very nice guy. He did an amazing job installing both AC units. The measurements were wrong from the previous technician so Juan addressed the situation without hesitation. He made room for it to fit in the wall then Sealed it up for me. I was hit by a car so I am in a wheelchair. Juan wanted to make sure that everything was perfect so I didn't run into any issues. It's great to see someone who is good and smart about their job duties. In a world where good workers are rare Juan shines. I am very happy to finally have AC again 10 stars

Jerry was amazing he educated me on how to take care of my AC. He was very professional and friendly .He was here over 1 month ago and I had not posted a review because I wanted to make sure my AC would not have any issues . I am happy to say that i have not had issues since his visit . I was using small companies thinking that i was saving money but they would come fix it and then days later would not answer when I called back to say that i had issues so i finally decided to go with momentum. Wanted to give a shout out to Enmanual our service technician. He has worked on our AC unit multiple times and we couldn't be more pleased with his service. Friendly, professional, and attention to detail. Momentum is super lucky to have him! Also credit to the staff in the office, Vanessa, Marissa and the crew are ALWAYS super friendly and willing to help however possible. Momentum did a great job for us. Our 13 yr old AC kicked the bucket, of course during the warmest time of the year. They came out the next day to assess the situation and within a day I had a brand new system. They provided a few price options with different AC models to choose from. We are very happy with the timeliness, quality of the installation, price and communication. I highly recommend them as a honest and reliable source for your AC needs.

Ryan was incredibly kind and informative while helping to fix some issues with our AC unit. He arrived promptly, and completed a through analysis of all possible issues, and then talked us through a variety of options to help us fix our unit, and also get attic insulation. Called to order a new unit and Marissa had a tech out here next day. She is super professional and courteous. They have worked with us on pricing and were quick to install. Great overall service. Update: Gary came out to post permit. He checked everything over and made sure we were happy before he left. He was super informative and helpful. Momentum has some great people working for them. Ryan came out today and did such an amazing job, he communicated the whole time, and left with my ac actually working. Ryan is outstanding and very compassionate. He fixed the ac in a timely manner and made sure he didn’t leave until he felt the cold air blowing. I highly recommend asking for him if you need a job done promptly. He also did this with a smile on his face on 90 degree weather.

Gary was an amazing technician! He spent literally all day on our unit by himself and was so kind and helpful the entire time. We had an unexpected issue with our AC. We were already due for a maintenance check when the unit stopped running. I was able to call Momentum early on a Sunday. The operator was able to schedule us within two hours from my call. Ryan came to assess and get it all up and running again. We are so grateful for the care he took in identifying the issue. Our air conditioning system at home was not blowing any cold air at all. Jahn from Momentum AC came out on Saturday evening and helped us resolve our AC issue. I had some difficulties with our system this was a long issue. Momentum followed up and communicated well throughout the entire process. They came out multiple times. The owner is a wonderful person that really cares about the clients and is not trying to take advantages. Portable AC units were deployed when needed. We had new duct work and diagnostic work done.

Called momentum AC and electrical because we had a shortage in our garage. Their electrician Sergio was sent out. He quickly found the problem and kept us posted the whole way on everything that was being done. He worked so clean and efficient we will definitely recommend Sergio and momentum for all AC and electrical work.

He worked quickly and got it back up and running serviced it and scheduled us out for our next service to make sure this wouldn’t happen to us again. Second ETA: Just started trying to make my way through my garage - several boxes and items were damaged from the repair men who wanted more access to my air handler and failed to speak to myself or my mother, who were available. ETA: I am updating my review from one to three stars. Ultimately, my entire AC unit had to be replaced. The two gentleman who came to perform the work were dedicated, and kind. They had to do the install while I was between 12 hour night shifts on a 5 night ICU stretch, so no, I did not sleep, and it was rough. They would start to pack up and I would chase them down telling them it wasn't working, and they would come back and troubleshoot - I was petrified they would leave without cold AC running but ultimately after 7 hours, we have a successful install. I appreciate their dedication to the cause. However, they destroyed my garage in the process. While the air handler and breaker box were accessible, they moved everything in my garage (we recently downsized 1k square feet, so there are still a lot of boxes), blocked boxes I needed access to, including everything for my new baby coming in 8 weeks. And then left them that way - so now I have to pay another $200 for moving help to come reorganize because I cannot lift due to my high risk pregnancy. Ultimately, I'm out close to $700 for this ordeal, possibly more, partially due to my landlord and some due to Momentum AC. On top of that, the owner of Momentum called me asking me to update my review and this is what I ultimately have to say: Who you do business with, is a direct reflection of you. Unfortunately, I think my landlord is a slumlord. And leaving a pregnant woman without AC for 9 days in the summer in Florida is truly unacceptable. And I had not hounded Momentum, there would have been another 4 day delay. Preface: My family and I have been fighting COVID, including two young children, with 102 - 104 degree fevers. I am also 7 months pregnant with a high risk pregnancy. I am a night shift healthcare worker who runs ventilators and delivers high risk babies. So I sleep during the day, when the house is the hottest. I am renting my property and the landlord contracts with Momentum. When my AC was no longer keeping up with the June Florida heat, I submitted my request to my Landlord. So far: A service member came to my home from Momentum to diagnose the issue. After his visit, my home was 80 degrees. He claimed he had fixed the issue and I had to call the company to come back and diagnose the issue. I was told a written invoice would have to be sent to my landlord before repairs could be made. I offered to pay for repairs directly but was denied because of the contract with the landlord. Also, per the contract, they cannot tell me what the problem is. After a 15 minute phone call with a rep at Momentum, who claimed they had told me dye had been injected into the system to check for a leak (my landlord said no to the repair and wanted a leak test instead), and would schedule evaluation for Monday (this was Thursday). I told the agent that dye had not been injected, and that I did not want to get to Monday, confirm this, then have another 3 day delay due to the leak test taking 72 hours. After a lot of back and forth, she finally agreed the dye had not been injected and scheduled that for Friday. So I go the entire weekend without AC. Monday comes, the tech is an hour late, spends an hour at my property, leaves without a word leaving my garage unsecured. I call the office to follow up on invoice being sent over (we should already know what the problem is - the leak test was an unnecessary request by the landlord who is delaying repairs for some unknown reason, which is not Momentum's fault). They told me it would be the next day. I call at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, and again the invoice had not yet been sent to my property manager. Was out 9-10 days with AC.

Although staff was friendly and quick on scheduling, Momentum AC did not deliver what was promised and I’m disappointed. Upon initial contact, I explained to them my concern with not having proper circulation and even air flow throughout the house. I was told my previous unit was dated and should be replaced and given an estimate. I went with the “top of the line” Trane 16 seer unit option thinking it would help balance the air flow as I was told however that is not the case and I’m left with the same issues I went in with. I went ahead trusting their expertise and diagnosis only to experience the same issues with now a new AC unit. I mentioned the concern of the air flow to one of the installers after installation was complete and was quickly brushed off and told that they don’t deal with that, they only install. I emailed and called the office to address my concerns and the technicians were sent out again. On one occasion, I was told that they wouldn’t have known whether these issues with air flow would be fixed until the new AC was installed. This does not make sense because I brought these concerns to their attention the first time around however they only went in depth in pointing out issues with ductwork and insulation, and took specific photos during the second visit after installation was complete and when I pointed out I was having the same issues I had with my old unit. In addition, I was given condescending and mixed information. For example, one of the bedrooms does not receive enough air flow and after inspecting it, I was told that the air coming through the vents is enough to cool a room its size. By the same token, I was told the reason the bedroom isn’t cooling is because of a partition placed in the attic ductwork which obstructed the air flow and cooled one bedroom more than the other. How can air be enough to cool a room its size and at the same time have a partition in the attic to block the air flow? I was given an additional estimate for thousands of dollars more for ductwork and insulation and told that it would resolve the issues I’m having with air flow. All of which I made mention of upon initial contact and should’ve been addressed during installation. I wish there was more transparency and I was given a thorough inspection and estimate up front rather than quoted for installation of a new unit because clearly just installing a new unit did not resolve these apparent preexisting issues. In hindsight, I should’ve went with the first company that gave me an estimate for peace of mind. Although it was a bit more pricey and they didn’t offer the Trane unit, their estimate outlined my concerns and what would be done to remedy the issues. As mentioned, I trusted Momentum’s expertise and ratings on Google so I went with them instead but I’m still left with the same issue I went in with. Lesson learned and I will continue on my search for additional estimates to help remedy this ongoing issue.

I found Momentum AC from Google based on very positive reviews. Installed a brand new AC system last Feb. and paid for over $8000 for it. I expected this system to last a long time and be worry free for a while, as the old one lasted for near 20 years. However, only after a year and 3 months, unfortunately passed Momentum AC's 1 year full warranty, the system broke. I really appreciate Momentum AC's prompt response and fix, but only found out that they replaced the capacitor and charged me $400 for it plus service and diagnostic fees. When I asked for the expected lifetime for whatever capacitor that they installed (the old one last year, and the newly replaced one), I was told that it could be random, and unfortunately such capacitors are not under Momentum AC's parts warranty. That means that I should expect the system to be broken any time again and I have to pay big bucks for them each time. I would love to continue the business with Momentum AC, but after this, I have to think alternatives. A business' reputation is not just based on the service they do normally, but rather on how they can handle a customer's adversity and improve itself upon it. Additional note: just found out that the capacitor that they replaced costs around $12 at Amazon and the invoice shows that I was charged $400 for this part. Yuck. What else should I say? Update on 06/12/2024: The owner of Momentum AC called which showed me this is a serious company and really cares about its customers. I am glad we reached to an agreement that Momentum AC gave me a partial refund to settle this incident. Will likely continue my business with this company and will keep updating this review if necessary. Update on 12/19/2025: Since the initial brand new installation over two and half years ago, my system has been broken 5 times. To be fair, among them, one was totally not related with the system and installation, but all others are. I don't know if I am just so unlucky or something else. Today, my tenant reported that it is broken again, and after the technician arrived, I got a call for my approval of cleaning drain clogging for $400 (with 10% discount to $360). 30 minutes later, got another call from the admin asking me to pay before technician leaves. I told her that I would pay online after I see the statement of work and bill details, and then I was put on hold. I just hang up the call and am updating my review here. Not to mention all the time and energy dealing with it so many times, and my tenant not having AC during the time, I paid quite some premium to fix them, only in 2.5 years of service of a brand new system. Now they are collecting money from me over the phone before the technician leaves ...... What else should I say? Frustration for the system and their practice. I may have to find another vendor to replace such a faulty system soon.

A/C wasn’t working and I called for service. The man came out late. I understand August in Florida is a busy time. The man I think his name was “Santos” diagnosed my system and said I had a bad blower motor. I paid for a motor replacement. After motor was replaced he said system had a leak and that a diagnostic leak check which he had to use dye would cost something like $335.00. I asked for alternatives and he said he could fill the system with Freon and that cost around $200.00. I opted for the cheaper route and hoped it was a minuscule leak I could have diagnosed at a later time. I wanted to call around for better estimates to diagnose a leak. About three hours after the man left the a/c stopped blowing cold air and I turned it off and decided to call a different provider because finding a leak after a person checks the system and determines a malfunction and just happens to find a leak later on that will cost $335 just to diagnose seemed to convenient to me. The next day I scheduled a service appointment with a different provider and the man showed up checked the line and found the leak. It was in the shrader that a service person would connect their diagnostic tool to. The new service man said and I quote “it’s pissing refrigerant from the connection”. How could the man have missed that leak if it was coming from where he hooked up his equipment. The tech then further inspected the lines and found no other leaks. Next of all the new tech checked the unit and found a dead capacitor which is what I’ve been told one of the first things you should check when checking operation of a unit. My question is did I really need a new blower motor being the original tech didn’t check or clearly missed something painfully obvious. Last of all the Freon leak. The new tech checked the pressure and it was within manufacturers specification. So even after the original tech supposedly “added” coolant and the line was “pissing refrigerant “ for over 24hrs the unit still had enough refrigerant to operate optimally. I will be calling the company at my earliest convenience and the lesson here is avoid this company. In my experience with this company the tech was either completely incompetent or trying to screw me.

I've been a loyal customer of Momentum for years, but unfortunately, I must revise my 5-star review to a 1-star review due to questionable and unnecessary practices involving Freon charges. On one of my properties in St. Pete, the technician took pressure readings on a unit that was frozen—due to the tenants running it at 67 degrees in June. Later that day, the technician returned and "charged" the unit with Freon. However, during a follow-up inspection nearly two months later by a different technician, no leaks were found in the line set or coils, and the pressure readings were still normal. This was particularly troubling given that the unit, a Carrier system, was installed just 10 months prior with a full inspection. I initially chalked this incident up as an anomaly. But then it happened again. At another property in Tampa, I called for a simple condensate line flush, and once more, I was told the unit might "need" a Freon charge. This was absurd, as the unit had been functioning perfectly, holding temperature with no issues for months. When the rep called to discuss diagnostics, I made it explicitly clear that the conversation about Freon was premature and unnecessary. Yet, within minutes, they called back with a quote for a Freon charge. I agreed to discuss the matter, but at no point did I authorize the charge. Despite this, the company proceeded without my clear consent. Momentum was quick to provide recordings of subsequent calls to argue their case, yet suspiciously reluctant to share the initial call, where it was clear I did not approve any Freon charge. After years of entrusting Momentum with multiple properties, it's disheartening to see them resort to such deceptive practices. They are personable and persuasive over the phone, but it’s clear they are taking advantage of their customers. I can no longer recommend Momentum, and I urge others to proceed with caution.

Would not recommend this company to anyone. They installed a brand new unit at our house last summer and immediately, we had problems with it. We called them out several times to the house to have it repaired and they never ever fixed it, just kept gas lighting us into thinking we were crazy and nothing was wrong with it. They would pump Freon into the unit and leave. Meanwhile the BRAND NEW unit could not cool our house. Our electric bill was even higher than it was previously with a 17-year-old A/C unit. We continued calling them for 10 months asking them to please come fix the unit. Finally, we ended up calling a Rheem certified company and immediately upon arrival, they discovered Momentum had never connected the 3-ton unit properly, so it was operating as a 2-ton unit for 10 months and that’s why it was not able to cool our house. They also had over filled it with Freon from all their visits to “fix it” so the unit had way too much humidity. It should also be noted that the rheem company literally wrote in their notes “many signs of poor install.” So terrible customer service, paired with an entire fleet of service guys who don’t know what they’re doing. Yeah, I certainly wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

I bought a portable ac unit from this company in April of this year. They charged me $300 for the unit and installation. I called them again this week for another exact same unit exact same btu they told me the price is now $800. They had no problem telling me it was $800. Is this a company you wanna do business with?

STAY AWAY from this company! My family and I have been dealing with our house being 85 degrees plus every day and our leasing company contracted out the repairs to this company.
