I had my Daikin unit installed back in 2022 by a Company that is the worst, they Failed 4 inspections and to correct them it was a nightmare! I never had them back! I called another A/C company and they were a NIGHTMARE! It’s like the story of the three bears 🐻 I definitely was in need of a maintenance inspection, I ran to one of the elders @ St. Paul’s Church and asked them who they use, they mentioned, Caldeco. I was TERRIFIED to schedule the appointment in fear of dealing with shady business practices. I prayed very Hard and God answered my prayers! Alex from Caldeco showed up before my scheduled time, was extremely Polite and VERY knowledgeable, he explained in detail what he was going to do, asked me if I wished I could stay and watch him, he took apart the panels, showed me that I had my filter on wrong, he showed me that the original company left behind a part that was not supposed to be there , vacuumed a installation piece that was trapped, this was just the inside unit ! The out side compressor, he took it apart and while he was doing this I was talking to myself and could not understand why, the other 2 companies NEVER even touched the compressor, if I’m saying it correctly. He washed it , cleaned with a solution and made it look like NEW !!! He walked me through the whole process. He even attached a vacuum to the drain outside that is for the unit inside, the last company NEVER did that either! My unit is working beautifully! Thank you Alex !!! I wish him all the Blessings! I've been working with Caldeco for years. I recently had an issue with the air handler. I had multiple non-Caldeco technicians out to assess the issue. None of them could diagnose the problem. They would say the issue was fixed and then it would pop up a few days later. It went on for weeks. Caldeco, on the other hand, assembled an awesome team to come out and diagnose the issue. I was frustrated and wanted to be sure this got the attention it needed. The entire senior management team at Caldeco stepped in and got involved, including Rick, the owner. The responsiveness was excellent. It took a few days for the necessary parts to come in, but Amos and Fabian came out and spent almost a full day at my house correcting several different potential sources of the issue. Once completed, they stayed to ensure that the issue was resolved. Sure enough, it appears to be resolved. It would have been very easy for Caldeco to do what the other companies did and just tell me they don't know or can't help, but they really invested the time and energy into solving the issue. This is a family run company that cares about its customers. Excellent service, communication, and follow-up.

I recently had a service call with Caldeco, and once again, they exceeded my expectations. My technician, Atan, was incredibly professional and efficient while servicing both of my HVAC systems. ​During the routine maintenance, Atan’s attention to detail truly paid off—he identified a capacitor that was on the verge of failing and replaced it immediately under warranty. His proactive approach likely saved me from a major headache and an emergency repair in the near future. ​I’ve been using Caldeco for ten years now, from routine service calls to full system installations, and their consistency is unmatched. Caldeco installed our ac system a few years ago and have been the only ones to service it since. Last night's lightning storm did something to the system, since it froze up. It wouldn't operate. We're leaving on vacation in a couple of days. A desperate call to Caldeco early Saturday morning was returned fairly quickly. I explained the situation. They were understanding, and had a technician out within the hour on a Saturday! He diagnosed the problem (burnt-out motor), explained that it would be replaced under warranty, and as soon as Parts opened on Monday we could schedule it. He double-checked the rest of the unit to be sure that was the only problem. Great response, quality technical skill, stand behind their product, and more than anything, made me feel like they genuinely value me as a customer. I highly, highly recommend them... couldn't be happier with an ac company.

This is the fourth time we have had Caldeco out and they have consistently had amazing customer service. We had them out initially to fix our air conditioner and then were so happy with their service that we signed up for a regular maintenance service. They send reminders about upcoming appointments, which I really appreciate, and they are accommodating and professional. They send a picture of the technician so you know who is coming out and the technicians use shoe covers before coming inside. The professionalism and attention to detail is impressive. This week Ben came out for a routine maintenance call. He was extremely professional, informative and very considerate. I highly recommend this company.

2023 update: another great experience, Jaylen thoroughly cleaned up my system, communicated everything, even came earlier than scheduled, thanks! 2022 update: Always a pleasant experience, Jonathan did my semi annual cleaning today and what tremendous service he provided, not only thoroughly cleaning my entire system but also applying wax to my compressor outdoors to protect it against the elements. Thanks, Johnathan for your time and thoroughness! 2020: Fabian provided excellent,professional, friendly service. Showed up sooner than expected, diagnosed the problem did an awesome job explaining the issue and resolving it along with offering advise for maintenance. Highly recommend.

Based on a friend's recommendation, I selected Caldeco to take over my heating/cooling system maintenance from my previous maintenance service who went out of business after servicing my system for over 20 years. Caldeco scheduled my initial service within a very reasonable time frame and sent me an email several hours before the scheduled time informing me of the name (with photo) of the scheduled time, which I really appreciated. Paul Segallos did such a thorough job of cleaning and checking out my system and answering my questions about a possible semi-annual service/maintenance agreement, I signed up for a very reasonably priced one when he was finished (in about 90 minutes.

Caldeco phoned me to say that Carlos could come an hour earlier than scheduled. Thank goodness they did as I was still in the bath. Carlos was very pleasant, meticulous and explained everything he was doing. It was a very rainy day and I appreciated the efficient way he changed his schedule to take advantage of intervals between showers. He was worried about tracking mud in between downpours so I had to assure him it was of no concern to me as I have animals running in and out all the time, and have to clean the floors several times a day. I liked his considerateness. He's the kind of service person that inspires confidence. I'd be very happy to have him for my next service.

I had a mini split installed in my bedroom, from the start of the quote from Ryan to the installation I had a fantastic experience with Caldeco, who clearly prioritizes customer service and customer experience. Had a bit of an issue where the unit was leaking somewhere and causing consistent error messages. I reached out late at night and had a tech at my house within 12 hours. Patrick was fantastic, super thorough and responsive, had to take multiple trips back to the house to locate and seal the leak and was extremely communicative. Cannot say enough good things about Patrick, Mike and the entire Caldeco team. I’ve got my HVAC company in the Tampa area for life.

Have been a loyal customer for a few years, after we needed emergency AC svc. So happy we found Caldeco. We will never use another company. Staff is always kind, from the receptionist who takes incoming calls, to the scheduling, and the technicians who are prompt, knowledgeable and professional, I appreciate feeling confident that I am being taken care of without being taken advantage of. We signed up for the maintenance plan. Also, I liked receiving id photo of technician prior to arrival. The young man assisting my tech, was kind enough to switch out my filter when he saw I had it out. That was very much appreciated.

Thursday's service adhered exactly to the high standards that I've come to expect from Caldeco technicians! Thank you for being one part of my life where I don't feel that I have to do someone else's work for them. It's a relief to know I can rely on you! Brett was here last Tuesday and, as usual, he upheld Caldeco's high standards. Bought a new home HVAC system from Caldeco and I am very happy with the quality of the service and install of the unit. The free 6 month cleaning was done yesterday by Fabian and he did a great job and was very courteous. I would certainly recommend Caldeco should you need a new system or if you need service. UPDATE: The system continues to work very well. Today Alex came and did my semi-annual maintenance. It went well. Alex was friendly and efficient and did a great job and reviewed what he did with me. I continue to be impressed with Caldeco and it's staff/technicians.

We got a soup to nuts ( entire new system) AC replacement, handler, compressor, new drain lines, duct work, and electrical. Finally, I feel that our ac issues were solved after 2 AC syst replacements 9 - 10 years apart, always doing PMs and maintenance, and never got full life expectancy. Got a 10-year warranty with Caldeco, too. Honest why we had issues, duct work 40+ years old. Originally from North US, I didn't know ductvwork ages out. Since the electric bill has really come down, I am amazed. Professional, too, with great customer care.

Brett came out to clean our newer system today. He is a very good natured technician, answered all of our questions before he got to work. We appreciated his good attitude while braving high heat temps in our attic to get the job done. I have been a customer of Caldeco for over 30 years, and have become accustomed to outstanding service. While they are not the cheapest ac company in the area, they sell a good product (our last system lasted 18 years, yes a carrier) hopefully our new system (3 years old) will hold up as long. Thank you Caldeco!

We have Caldeco for our yearly maintenance. In April 2024 our A/C was not really cooling the house. Ended up that our 10+ year old A/C coil was leaking. They recharged us so that we would make it until we could get a new system installed. They managed to squeeze us in between jobs which was wonderful!!!! The new system is installed so much better than the old one (Caldeco didn't install the old one). Our bills are going down also, even with all this heat we have been having lately. Thank you very much for your great technicians.

Benjamin did a great job on our semi-annual cleaning. I Was a little late arriving for the appointment and he was Nice enough to stay so I wouldn’t have to reschedule the appointment. We have been having trouble with the AC and he explained that he had to repeat the clearing Process a few times to unclog the lines which were causing backups. He took his time to explain what he did and what to watch for and provided some recommendations to keep the lines clear. He was also very professional and kind. Thank you.

Compared to our last two companies we had, there is no comparison. We had them come and do a p.m. on our hvac system. He did an amazing thorough job. I was so impressed. May have cost more than their competitors. But he showed up on time, was very nice, and preformed maintenance that the others never did. The other guys, if they showed up, would be in and out in about 45 minutes. This guy was here for over 3 hours. And he covered everything! I couldn’t be happier!

This was my first maintenance appointment with Caldeco and it was a great experience. The technician (Tim) was on time, courteous and polite. He explained everything and did a great job on the units. He did not try to sell me any additional services, parts, etc like most service people do - he just did an excellent job providing the service I had asked for. Thorough, efficient and clean...can’t ask for much more than that.

I had a great experience with Caldeco. They send out representative that was on time and very professional. He gave me options and wasn't pushy. Once I made my decision, they sent out the installers who too were on time and very professional. They completed the job in the estimated time. They cleaned up and left me with nice cold air. I highly recommend using Caldeco and would refer to friends and family. Great service!!

I’ve had great luck with Caldecott. They installed a new A/C unit for me at a comparatively good price and the purchase process was very low pressure, which really sold me. That’s not the case at local competitors. I’ve had them do routine maintenance on a regular basis. They are always on time (even early), professional and friendly. When needed for emergency repairs, they come right away. I recommend them.

Caldeco has been my A/C company for years, recommended by radio legend Tedd Webb way back in the day. They started as my A/C repair company and I trusted them to replaced both my A/C units. They have always been super responsive even during the busy seasons. My last visit was for a routine checkup by Brett Johnson who was cordial and very knowledgeable. I recommend them to everyone.

Today we had John Gorthy do our maintenance service for our AC unit and you couldn't ask for a better person to do so. Had my service call yesterday and as usual, it was top notch! The technician (Jeremy) wore booties in the house, showed me pictures of the handler and compressor. Caldeco was recommended to me years ago by neighbors and they are simply excellent. I should also compliment the team that answers the phone, schedule the service calls, etc. You will love them!

We just started using Caldeco about 2 months ago. We had become very dissatisfied with the company we had been using for 20+ years. We have three units in our house and our tech spent about 4 hours doing our maintenance checks and cleaning. He had to do the things that our former company ignored.for years. If I could give zero stars I would. We have 2 A/C units. One we replaced last year and a 2nd one for the upstairs of our house. Our upstairs A/C went out on Thursday morning so I contacted Caldeco to have someone come out to take a look at our A/C unit. We have used Caldeco in the past for repair work. Caldeco sent someone out Thursday afternoon who quoted us $6000 to repair. It wasn't until my husband asked about warrenty for the unit that the tech responded that he could not guarantee the system would run after the quoted repairs or, if able to get running, for how long. He then said our best bet was to replace the unit. The tech could give us no information on replacements, as a salesperson had to come out. The salesperson came out Friday afternoon and gave us options for 4 different units. We selected a unit. My husband asked several times if that was doable given it was already late Friday afternoon to have a unit installed on a Monday morning. We were asssured that it could be done because permits were obtained immediately and the salesperson confirmed they had the unit in stock. We signed the contract thinking everything was ok. My husband then received a call from the salesperson informing us that they did not have the unit in stock, however, they could be out on Monday with a more expensive unit, at the more expensive price. My husband asked when they could obtain the original unit we selected and Caldeco could not give an answer other than maybe Thursday or Friday at the earliest. The salesperson kept trying to get my husband to agree to the more expensive unit. When my husband said that was not what was agreed upon and would Caldeco be willing to come down on the price since the mistake was theirs not ours, he was advised by the salesperson no. No apologies or offer of any type of resolution. The whole thing was nothing more than a bait and switch in an attempt to get us to pay more money for an A/C unit. I have no doubt had we wanted to change the terms of the signed contract in our favor not theirs they would have held us to the contract. It wasn't until after we already gave Caldeco numerous opportunities to try to rectify their mistake and contacted another company that the salesperson called my husband to say that the general manager offered to install the unit they did have available at the contracted price for the one we selected. My husband informed the salesperson that we already had another company en route. At no point in time did my husband ever provide the name of a person or the name of the company that was coming out. The salesperson referenced a person by name that was who we were supposedly using as did the general manage and implied their work was not up to par. My husband told the saleperson and the general manager we did not know who that person was, to which the general manager responded that was who purchased the mechanical permit Friday. That in and of itself is nothing more than a bold faced lie. It wasn't until I went on the Hillsborough County website to see what he was talking about that the permit the salesperson and the general manager were referencing was from the company the purchased the permit to install the downstairs A/C unit from the prior year...a permit that expired 03/2025. I am absolutely amazed at such irresponsbile, unethical, and quite frankly dishonest behavior from Caldeco. On a good note, the A/C company that did come out on Friday evening gave us a quote for a much better unit including a 10 year warrenty on the unit, parts, and labor, 2 digitial thermostats, an air purifier and UV light for a much better price...no nickel and diming. And guess what...they showed up this AM with the equipment. No empty promises, no bait and switch, no unethical tactics. Just a local business doing business the way business should be conducted and treating people fairly. Caldeco is absolutely the worst. Makes you wonder how many people sign contracts for equipment that they bait and switch on.

Having purchased my HVAC system from Caldeco I thought they would treat me fair when I have a problem with it. No really so. May 21 Tampa: temperature went up to the 90s fan turned on but compressor stopped .Called this company and was told that their travel charge was $89. If repair is performed 89 will be taken off. Their tech arrived to test the capacitor and contactor at condensor unit. 15 minutes. He did not say a word what happened. He then went to gas furnace in garage. Took off the cover to look at the control board. Another 5 minutes. Still did not give me any information . I was not sure he knew what went wrong or not, so I asked him. Now he responded: There may be a low voltage short but he was not sure. In order to find out what is really wrong, he proposed a further diagnostic at the control board, which costs $143 for the first 30 minutes- level one charge. If he needs more time, it will be around $220 - Level two charge . After the first hour, the fee will go up. That's only diagnostic not the actual repair, payable on top of the trip charge of 89. He asked me if I agree to pay this schedule of fees. He seemed so confident I would agree that he said "You are now at $232" assuming that he could find out what the problem is in the next BIG 30 minutes. He spent about 20 minutes in my house using his multimeter to check on something and told me nothing helpful, only to sell me an oppressively priced schedule of diagnostic fees?! This company has been around Tampa for decades, what has become of it , or of this industry? Yes, the house is uncomfortable without AC but I am not that desparate yet! I just paid him $89 and let him go. No more business with the contractor ever again. Funny thing is, another contractor came the next day and without looking at the condensor unit, found a blown 24v fuse at the control board the first three minutes on his arrival. He showed me the blown fuse and replaced it. He then went to check the fan and compressor and both are running. All he charged is $99.

We recently bought a home, these guys wired the unit in wrong. Luckily our home inspector caught it and mentioned that it wasn’t functioning properly on 12.5.2024. On the day of closing 1.13.25, we had more issues. They sent a tech out who said the original installers (them) cut a large hole behind the thermostat which he also mentioned they shouldn’t have done and that the thermostat was reading the temperature behind the walls. So he foam taped it and it appeared to work well for about 10 days. And now we have the same issue. I really think that this unit was installed wrong at this point and I highly doubt anyone will come from this company to make it right. On 1.22.25 The heat just randomly stopped and the unit isn’t even 2 years old yet and here it is 40 degree weather and I have two little ones. So supposedly it was fixed twice so far and now it’s broke again for the third time since December only a month and a half!. When the tech supposedly fixed the issue, they ended up charging the home seller on closing day when we had this mishap.which was totally wrong since the tech said it was installed wrong to begin with. So at this point they’re either doing poor work or installing bad products and making a profit off their own mess (disgraceful). Oh and they put this defective Ecobee thermostat in here that never works correctly either. I don’t want this company touching my unit anymore. I’m going elsewhere. If you want a HVAC company that appears to reel people in with junk products and poor installation quality just to make a service charge trip every week, then go with these guys. I own a commercial/multi-family building envelope consulting company, I will NOT be recommending these guys to my worst enemy. Find someone who knows how to do it right THE FIRST TIME!

I would have given a -0 if possible. I have used Caldico for years with disappointment. One time they sent a guy with 1 cracked gauge the guy had to swap to check both sides? This time they came out put a $1200.00 fan in July, now outside unit isn't running. Went outside said needed diode and other parts $500.00. Then came in and looked at a coil is dirty said needs replaced. He should have looked at that 1st before putting parts on???They sent Steve a long time employee out" he told me he was done with me and left". HORRIBLE SERVICE.******THIS IS A REPLY TO YOUR RESPONSE: You are correct about maintenance BUT in 3 months you charged me approximately $1700.00 in repairs. DO YOU THINK THE COIL GOT THAT BAD IN 3 MONTHS?????? Your are not a professional company you ripped me off it should have been recommended months ago to replace the whole unit, not after you STOLE my money...BEWARE OF THESE GUYS......****

What an unhonest technician/company. First- I call on Monday was told I will be put on the list. Then was call Tuesday and was told I am on the list for that day service, then was called at 5pm that the tech is coming Wednesday morning. The tech told me my compressor was broken. (The unit is 2 years old) Thank goodness I got a second opinion. I was told it was going to be $2600 plus take a week and he wasn't sure if that would even fix the issue. My A/c was fixed in less than 4 hours after the second company came out and they confirmed my compressor is in fact working just fine. I hope Karma goes after this person because this was not okay. In my opinion I should get my 89.00 back since it was a complete waste of time and money.

I have spent thousands of dollars to fix our AC and still having so many problems!! Just in this last week alone, i’ve called them three times! I even asked if we needed a new AC unit and they said no! This is a terrible business!! They don’t fix the job, and it has cost us thousands!!

I had a terrible experience with this AC company. They installed my AC system incorrectly, which led to a major drainage issue. Now I'm stuck with a system that doesn't work properly and water damage in my home. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. One star is too generous!

Read the fine print! Caldeco won't honor a free cleaning and won't inform you that it expires after 6 months or a year. Terrible service and will not patronize this company again.

This company is one of the least respectful, least professional and rude companies I have ever dealt with in my life. After having to re-schedule once because the tech sent to my condo unit claimed there was no parking available and the manager wouldn't let him leave his vehicle on the side to diagnose an issue, incorrectly rescheduling resulting in no tech showing up to the second "rescheduled appointment," and finally scheduling a third time as the management office was not open by the time a tech was sent to my unit, a young, seemingly in-experienced tech claimed the issue the a/c unit was not cooling was because a coil had to be cleaned (while a prior tech claimed it was a capacitor issue). Once both the coil had been cleaned and the capacitor supposedly replaced, although this process was interrupted by a person from the office calling threatening the tech would have to leave as he was not able to get to the roof which I quickly solved by simply calling the HOA manager who walked out from the office to provide the key for roof access, with the whole experience resulting in an over $350 repair. Low and behold, 3 hours later, my unit was as the same temperature (82F) and I could not appreciate any cooling. When I called the company back, they transferred my to a "service manager" who simply said they did not have a tech available currently, but would call me back once one was available to see if any cooling had occurred, but it would cost another $129 to diagnose a condition they had not correctly diagnosed or managed initially???? The only reason I had called Caldeco in the first place was because they had installed my carrier unit initially in late 2014. I'm already having issues with it barely 3 years in and could not be more displeased with this company.

Nightmare situation today with Caldeco Air! 4th of July weekend and Ripping Off local customers!! Leaving Negative Reviews online is not something I do often or even like to do, but in this case warning others about Caldeco Air is completely warranted. I won't go into all the details unless it is necessary at a later date (including getting my property manager and tenant involved), but will leave it at: Caldeco tried charging me 56% more for a simple repair that another company came in and completed in 15 minutes. They also tried to charge an additional $150 (Rick the technician said he was able to get it down to $100 for me) to do what the other company did in 1/4 hour. I believe the manager's name was Paul - should remember since he told me "make sure you spell my name right when you leave your review." After getting off the phone with Paul, my tenant, property manager and I all made calls to different companies and none were in the same cost ballpark as Caldeco! (in fact , they were on average 40% less and this doesn't even include the extra $100/$150 Caldeco wanted to charge for 15 minutes work!! Save your time and money and STAY AWAY form these people! Feeling Fortunate they only got me for the $89 Service Call - it could have been a LOT worse!!

I called Caldeco to come to a condo that I own in Tampa FL. They came out to assess our problem. The tech called us and told us that our problem could be fixed by adding coolant. He said there was a very small leak and that this repair would last 2 years.We were charged $382. This repair did not last for 2 days. My renters were away on vacation this week and it would have been the perfect time to replace the unit if we had been advised to do so. I contacted another company and they said I had a very large leak and that it would be cost effective to replace the unit.I could not trust Caldeco to replace y AC unit since they had already lied to me. I tried to fight the charge on my credit card,but the tech lied and said he never told us that the repair would last 2 years. I then contacted Paul V(service manager) from Caldeco, but he said there was nothing he could do to help me. He told me the tech would not have said that. Also, when fighting my charge on my credit card, Caldeco forward info from another customer to them. They sent private emails regarding someone else's complaint. This was a total invasion of privacy. It also assured me that I was not the only dissatisfied customer.

If I could give zero stars I would.... A technician came to my home this week to do a "diagnostic" on my system to determine what the issue was with my HVAC unit that was not cooling. After doing his examination of my HVAC system he tells me that it's a "bad coil" and needs to be replaced. I ask the cost and he says $3k-$4k... he's not sure. Also tells me our motor is "going bad" and will be another $1500-$2k. After he puts my system back together I pay him the $89 diagnostic fee and tell him that because of the big price tag we'll be getting a second opinion. He starts to backtrack and says "well it might only be $2k for the coil, I'm not sure. They'll call you tomorrow with a quote".... This is where it gets good. They NEVER CALLED WITH A QUOTE, period. I called another company for a diagnostic. They came out the next day and noticed that the drain float was tripped causing the system to shut off. They used a shop vac to clear the drain line and my temp went from 89 degrees to 75 degrees in a few hours. $249 was the charge from the second company. Caldeco refused to refund the $89 diagnostic regardless of the negligence of their technician. Don't waste your time folks

Called for help at 6, the AC quit working just a few days after they came to service. The motor was shorted out. When I requested help, the lovely lady answering the phone called Paul--who then said to tell me they had no one available and they'd come the following day. Only to find out that they were also booked the following day and Paul said that was "too bad". After being in PPE at work all day, you'd think they could at least come diagnose and get parts order... I told them to cancel our plan and we were firing them. An hour later, I was called and told "we're trying to make you happy, so we have someone who can come tonight"...already had someone at our home from ACS attempting to get the motor going again, it's dead. Ironic that the technician who came only days before didn't notice the BURN SMELL & BLACK MARKS around the motor. My husband had asked if this was an issue, technician said normal. Do not use these guys.

Scammers, and rude be aware! They charge you a $90 diagnostic fee, but do not check all the system as they claim they do. Main problem was the capacitor, so that was changed (diagnostic fee + capacitor part+ labor + Freon = $300). Everything would be fine, but three months later we found out there was a Freon leak. I called the manager and was advised that "diagnostic" does not include checking for leaks necessarily; however, he claims they checked "the whole system" but there was no reason checking for leaks, so they did not. No clear answer on what exactly does the diagnostic fee includes. So, I paid the diagnostic fee that does not include diagnostics?!?! Manager offered to send a technician for ANOTHER diagnostic fee, claiming he knows "what I am trying to do here." No, Thank YOU!

Beware of Caldeco. Unprofessional and unethical company! Our two-year old compressor blew. It was under warranty (took them days to confirm this when a quick internet search could do it). Still quoted us $1,800 for labor and refrigerant. After waiting two weeks, they sent out two techs who didn't have expertise with a water cooling system. Told us that a supervisor would have to come out and we would have to pay an additional $2,000. This new quote is more than half of what we paid for the entire system 2 years ago. Denise has been difficult to work with. She isn't on the same page as the techs. Avoid this company. Too many other good ones in the Tampa area.

Be very wary of dealing with this company! We had a guy come out to give us an estimate for a new system, and although he was professional looking, he constantly bad-mouthed the other companies that had given us estimates. Then - shocker! - his estimate was 30% higher than the next highest figure we had received. To top it off, when he called back a few days later to follow-up, he got belligerent on the phone when we told him we were going with a different contractor: warning that we would be sorry we didn't go with Caldeco. I can understand aggressive marketing, but I'm not happy being bullied!!!

I called Caldeco based on the positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience with them did not go as well. I scheduled my appointment for Friday 4/2 at 8:30 am. when they had not arrIved by 8:40, I decided to call. it turns out they rescheduled me for 10:00 but did not notify me. My handler is in the attic with access through my closet. I had emptied out the closet, which is such a hassle. it seems just common decency to not treat others as a insignificant and worthless. I suspect they must be paying for positive reviews.

I will never use this disreputable company ever again. Do yourself a favor and use ANYONE else! Caldeco damaged my a/c handler and then wanted to charge me $2k for their mistake! Do your research and use a company that is approved by the BBB! I ABSOLUTELY DID call the Caldeco office and the manager came to my house only to deny liability the entire time. I'm sure he felt defensive considering I had the owner of a reputable company at my house at the time he showed up. Again, PLEASE DO NOT use this company!

Called during the office hours per their website and was told I was going to be charged after hours rates since it was after their office hours (two hours different than their webpage). After waiting 2 hours for a tech to call, and me calling back a second time they said they couldn't come out today. If they had told me that in the first place I could have found someone else this evening. Instead I'm trying to figure out how to keep my 4 month old from over heating tonight.

I appreciate that you are sticking up for your employee. Yes I was interested, that's why I called and left a message! Matt dropped the ball. Why would you pull a permit and pay employees to install any ac unit without financing in place or a signed proposal? Again, it is great that you back up your employees.

Bought two Carrier A/C units Constantly breaking. Charges us $100 every time they come out (even under warranty). Can't seem to find anyone to come out at 1 PM in the afternoon. We're done.

This is a report of my third installment of the odyssey towards a new heat pump and air handler. The Caldeco Man showed up on time, and spent about one hour apparently doing a load calculation. He was quite chatty, and tried hard to make friends...after he was done, he gave us a written bid showing reasonable detail. His best offer for a variable speed air handler and 4 ton heat pump was $8500. The bid stated the federal tax rebate and the TECO rebate to lessen the pain, ending up at about $6900...adding in the tax credit in my opinion is a very questionable practice, since the Caldeco Man has no idea whether I might pay taxes or not etc...this is a deceiving practice designed to masquerade an inflated price! I asked the man if I could have an itemized quotation, but he flat out refused. Another big warning sign! Bottom line: These guys may potentially understand their business (load estimate etc...), but they also succumbed to the all-to-normal business practice of suckering in the uninitiated. A sad state of affairs, my HVAC friends! On to the next bid!

Our air conditioner broke at a rental property with a family and four small children , Caldeco was able to send someone right out since it was something that needed immediate attention which we were grateful for . When the tech came out he told us we needed a new air conditioner and would have a sales person come out the following day to price out a new unit . With a family living in the rental with a newborn who desperately needed a/c we called another a/c company who came out and repaired the unit and found that it didn't need replacing just a minor repair . Though I understand the money is in the replacement and not in the repair, It's my opinion that ethically the repair should come first or possibly send out another tech for a second opinion before requiring the costly replacement as some techs may have more experience than others .
