Nonetheless, there were a few unintentional interior damages during the work, but they went above and beyond to make things right (including promptly addressing requests from the city inspector). If I had to point out one area for improvement, it would be that the project started about a month later than expected, and the communication around the delay could have been better. That said, once the work began, they moved efficiently and on schedule.

Sagi at Apollo was great in explaining the options for a new roof that was not the traditional tar and gravel. We chose the 3- layer petroleum based, rolled laminated roof with a top coat of white imbedded gravel. it was the correct choice giving the roof a clean, refreshed surface, more reflective of the sun and it comes with a twenty year warranty. The roofing crew were very organized and efficient completing the roof in two days and adding new steel flashing around the perimeter of there roof. And at my request, they installed a vent for the attic crawl space. They also replaced the worn tar paper lining the sloping tile parapet in front of the roof with the laminate. When we experienced our first hot day of the year in San Francisco this week, we noticed the house was several degrees cooler inside with the new roof and the new vent.

Due to a pesky squirrel that was nesting beneath our roofing tiles, we reached out a few roofing companies to give us a quote on lifting the tiles, identifying and repairing any damage, and reinstalling the titles. Matti from Apollo was great. He came out to investigate and provide an estimate, and he was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. While Apollo was not the lowest quote, the quote was very competitive, and they definitely struck me as the most professional and motivated of the hard dozen or so that we contacted for estimates. We got our roof replaced this past June. Our project manager was Daniel Dahan. He came by and took pictures of our roof with a drone and then spent enough time with me to go over project materials, the project timelines and costs. He did not pressure me into making an immediate decision and I appreciated that. I got three quotes from roofing companies and Apollo Roofing Company's estimate fell in between the other two estimates. Daniel was up front about the costs and any potential new costs that may incur during the roof replacement, for example, if there were more planks that were rotting that needed to be replaced than what was covered in the contract and the potential for replacing our skylights given the condition they were in. I appreciated knowing that. We had to reschedule our project a couple times and were understanding and flexible about it. Once the project started, the roof replacement took 2 and half days to complete so it was super quick. There was some miscommunication about what wires could be cut since our 3 unused satellite dishes were being removed and so the workers snipped our internet cable in error. We sorted it all out and any costs incurred from cable replacement, Apollo agreed to reimburse. Extra planks needed to be replaced and our 3 skylights needed to be replaced and costs about those were discussed and agreed on and now we have some pretty awesome skylights thanks to Daniel. When the workers were done with the project, they left and I did not know they were done. I would have appreciated to get a notice they were done so I could go outside and take a look at the clean up bit before they left because there were a couple of things I wanted to review with them. Our backyard string lights were moved and the snipped satellite wires were sticking out and not taped. I let Daniel know and he was prompt in having all of it taken care of that same day. The workers came back and did above and beyond to tidy up the lights and wires. So yes, there were a couple of hiccups but it was all sorted out to our satisfaction. We are overall pleased and appreciative of Apollo Roofing Company's work and our communications with Daniel who was always immediately responsive to my messages.

We had purchased our house knowing the roof was old, so the first major home project we chose to do was the roof replacement. We got 3 free quotes after a quick Yelp search and Apollo's professionalism swayed us to signing with them. They weren't the cheapest quote, nor the highest quote. From the quick response to my inquiry, to Matthew coming out the next day to take a look, speak with us about their services/what will happen, to getting a quote--it was all done so professionally and we had a good feeling they would take care of us, so we signed and the rest is history. We waited to start the replacement project in July and the weather worked in our favor (even in Daly City). Our project manager Nicholas communicated with us everyday to make sure the work was happening as expected. It took the expected 3 days to complete, with Day 1 being teardown and Day 2-3 shingle installation/gutter installation. The crew arrived on time every day, super efficient and even cleaned up at the end of each day. Nicholas was pleasant to work with. He was always available through a quick text or call. With any roof teardown, it's to be expected to find some dry rotting so we had make sure to pad our budget with the unexpected. Our roof was estimated to be 30 years old, so it was not surprising when Nicholas notified us of some dry rotting around the chimney siding. He answered all of our questions and quickly gave us an estimate of how much it would be to give us new chimney siding. Again, very professional and we felt comfortable giving him the go to tear out the dry rotted siding. It's not about the money for us. We value peace of mind and knowing our roof will be good for the next 25-30 years is worth working with Apollo Roofing. We definitely recommend them for any roofing projects.

I hired Apollo Roofing to replace my old shingle roof recently. Shahar is an energetic, hands-on professional who knows how to keep things moving efficiently. The project took about two weeks--longer than expected, but for good reason. The original roof deck had boards with large gaps, so the team had to install plywood to meet code requirements. There was also a hiccup with the city inspection when the chimney spark arrestor fell off, but Shahar quickly addressed it and made sure everything was up to standard. Overall, the crew was punctual and respectful, cleaning up thoroughly each day. I especially appreciated Shahar going the extra mile to reinstall the spark arrestor to ensure our permit would pass--thank you! The only minor issue was that the contract specified five air vents, but only four were installed. Still, I'm very happy with the quality of the work and the clear communication throughout.

Honestly this has been such a great experience that I'm not sure why anyone would hire another company. Their rep, Matti, was very knowledgeable and patient with me as I asked a million questions before and during the work. Their crew was on time and friendly. Everything was done quickly, with attention to detail. Nicholas was on site during some of the work and was also very helpful. We still have to do our skylights, but the full roof redo was really good. I'd definitely hire these guys again.
