My air conditioner died on Friday. I had my regular air conditioner guy come out to give me an estimate and it was a little more than I wanted to pay. He said we were living on for a time and it could go out at any minute. Well, by 3:00 Friday afternoon it was gone. I'm in the habit of getting more than one estimate so I called Caloosa Cooling. I explained the situation to Dave and he asked if he could come over and check everything out. Of course I said yes and he arrived very quickly. I showed him what the other company had presented and he was able to find many holes in their story. I told him the price they quoted and he rolled his eyes. So I asked him to work up an estimate for me. He gave me a great deal, much more reasonable than my original company, and said he would make sure we are in cool comfort until Tuesday when they are going to install our new unit. Dave took his time and explained the entire process to me. He also explained what he was doing as he was checking out the various parts of my air conditioning unit. I have found a new air conditioning company. Dave was so patient and it was 5:00 on Friday afternoon by the time he left. He knew I would not be able to bear the heat until Tuesday. Originally he was going to have someone from his office bring over two portable air conditioning units. But he went outside to my old unit to see if there was something he could do. Apparently "somebody" had loosened some wires which is why it was not cooling properly. He got everything back where it should be, gave it a shot of coolant, and the house started to get cool before he was even in his truck. You will not go wrong if you use Caloosa Cooling!
Great experience. Jose was personable and professional. Very nice young man and very polite. Seemed to enjoy his job and I am very happy he did a system check so we can feel confident going into the summer months. Highly recommend this company. UPDATE: I recently had Caloosa Cooling service my HVAC and was thrilled with the work they did. After finding a problem during a regularly schedule check up they took care of the issue the next day. Yumarasy Fernandez was a delight. Very professional, pleasant and smart. I needed clarification on some of the technical aspects of the repair so I spoke with Sadiel who went out of his way to make me understand the situation. His patience was much appreciated. Spoke with Monica who could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Austin Macha came out the very next day to complete a very involved repair and was terrific to work with. He checked everything out before he left to make sure the unit was running properly. Extremely pleased with this entire experience and grateful for such competent technicians. January, 2026 Austin Macha was terrific! Great young man, so competent and explained what he had found to be an issue and will address. Again, Monica could not be more helpful and I’m grateful for such an efficient company and great employees. Highly recommend Caloosa Cooling. EMERGENCY RESPONSE CALL.! Tech. David Lopez responded to our home within 3 hrs, on a Sat for an emergency call. Caloosa Tech. David Lopez resonded within 3hrs to help us with our AC malfunction. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the part timely and professionally. He professionaly explained the problem and also said that we were doing a great job, as a homeowners, with taking care of our system. Besides the broken part he said that we were doing great to help maintain the AC system overall with monthly filter changes and drain line cleanings, etc.. Hurricane Ian flooded my house and Dave came out and looked over my system. Gave me a honest opinion about the damage that was done after it was completely under water. I then went with this company once I was ready to replace the unit. They were installing the unit a day after I confirmed the order. The service has been perfection. Any questions I have had were answered by Dave and he assisted me through the whole process. Even with all of the business they must be receiving now with the hurricane recovery going on, I felt like I was a main priority. Unreal customer service. 10/10 recommend you work with this company. Ask for Dave, he will get you right.
We called Caloosa Monday and Dave Corso immediately called us back. Unfortunately, my phone missed his call back. When I realized what happened…I called Dave and he was at our house very quickly. He evaluated our 11 year old system and recommended we replace. I felt that their pricing was very good. We’re scheduled for install either Friday or Monday because the unit is being shipped from Texas. In the meantime Dave K. brought a mobile ac unit to rescue us from the heat prior to installing the system. We were very thankful. So far we are very pleased with our service and would recommend Caloosa.
Ricardo Antonio was wonderful, he took plenty of time to really explain the issues and the options for solutions we could take. He made sure to address any concerns and take extra time to review everything with us, he was honest and the interactions felt genuine and not just another “this is broken so you need to pay x amount to fix it” it was a real “here’s what’s broken, let me show you, here are several options, it may still be under warranty, it worth taking a look into” It was just overall a very comfortable experience for something that usually brings so much stress.
Eric was on time and explained what he discovered and what he recommended be done to fix our issues. He offered service options including an annual service plan that was less expensive than the other service options priced individually. Eric was professional and very polite. He focused on his tasks and after leaving we didn’t even know he was there. Highly recommend Caloosa Cooling. BTW, even though “add 2 cups of vinegar every month” was written on our unit, Eric said vinegar was not a good thing to do. He suggested using hot water from the tap if no service plan was in place.
Just purchased a patriot carbon double UV light air purifier and ionizer for my AC unit and I could not be happier. My technician David Lopez is always proffesional and does an amazing job. He showed me the amount of mold my unit was growing and now we are mold and allergy free! I recommend everyone look into this because mold spores can cause alot of negative symptoms in your household and you wont even know what it is from! David always goes above and beyond he even redid my drain system because the company that installed it did such a bad job! 5 stars for caloosa cooling!
8 PM on a Monday night. A/C decides to take a holiday. I'm outside, staring at the dang thing and think. "Well, I'll call Caloosa now and they'll be here first thing tomorrow." WRONG. How about, "They'll be here in about an hour!!!" Service tech was very pleasant and knowledgeable, had the unit up and running within about 20 minutes. Did a thorough check of all pertinent systems, billed me a reasonable amount, and was on his way. I've had Caloosa servicing my A/C since it was installed 6 years ago. They are wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them.
Miguel did a great job in repairing our AC which had not been working since early Tuesday. The issue was a blower motor which had stopped running. Caloosa Cooling ordered a new part for us . And once it was available, They sent out Miguel to our house for the repair. He installed the new part and got the AC working in about 45 minutes. Once it was up and running, he continued to asses the other components to make sure that everything was working properly. We had to have our HVAC system repaired and Caloosa Cooling was excellent from start to finish. Ryan West was our technician and he truly stood out. He came out the same day, within just a couple of hours of our call. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable, took the time to clearly explain what was wrong with our system, and fixed exactly what was needed. He was professional, efficient, and easy to work with. Based on our experience with Ryan, we would absolutely recommend Caloosa Cooling and would request him again.
This is a great Company to do business with. I have used them in the past and their customer service is awesome. The communication and teamwork with all involved stands out. Are Service Technician being Amaurys is very attention to detail and the quality of his work shows he cares. I have included a Photo of something that wasn't on the Menu for the day. I'm sure glade he caught that. Also, when service is completed, the Air feels fresh and crisp and colder, we turned up the temperature 2 degrees as a result.

I can’t say enough about Caloosa Cooling. I called at 0730 on Monday morning after the holiday weekend thinking I was going to get a recording, and to my surprise I got a real person. I had a tech at my house by 0930. The tech they sent was Nathan C., young, motivated, clean cut, but most all super professional and knowledgeable. Resolved all my issues, and even got me on a service plan. Overall great experience. Caloosa Cooling will be my first call for any HVAC needs.

What a phenomenal job Eddy did! We calls at 4:00 on a Sunday and he was here by 6:00 replaced motherboard under warranty, new fuse and also cleaned out the water drainage line for us complimentary. He also walked me through how the unit works and was very informative while working… this is my first home so was very happy to learn more. He was here till 7:10 and was very cleanly and prepared. Great job eddy with Caloosa Air!

He took pictures of the work he was doing and spotted a couple of issues that needed to be addressed right away. David proposed the annual service which he highly recommended to maintain the unit. Nathan Collazo was outstanding. He had an appointment that ran a little long before ours, so he couldn’t get to us until after 5pm. Most people would rush with it being so late, but not Nathan. We’ve never experienced a tech spend so much time servicing our AC, he dotted every i & crossed every t. We truly felt like valued customers. We will never go to anyone other than Caloosa for all of our AC needs!

I failed to maintain the drain tube on my AC and it plugged with fungus or whatever that is in there. Called Caloosa Cooling and had a tech out in a couple of days. The tech was Kenny and he did an excellent job of going over my system from one end to the other! By the time he left everything was great! Kenny is also a very polite and personable young man! Excellent contractor!
Update: 4/1/2025 See my super review below that has now turned to a zero. They play with your emotions and hard sell you extra things they don’t need. When I reached out about my $17000 system not working properly the manager Dave said they no longer wanted to do business with me. I have an entire recorded transcript. They are great until you have a complaint. Then they are the worst and avoid their contractual obligations and abandon their customers. Now I need to go to small claims court to get support for a system that is not working and I’m still paying for. RUN!!!!! I never imagined I would feel so close to repairmen as I did watching these gents leave today. Caloosa cooling is exactly what I wanted and didn’t know how to find. We have severe allergies and a new construction home. We need help asap! Caloosa Cooling made it a priority on a Sunday evening to discuss my needs and promptly ordered my parts. They are thoughtful and honest. Dave is the reason I decided to buy the real system I needed. He helped me to think about my needs and evaluate the true benefit of upgrading our system. There was no hard sell, no tough tactics just professional upfront and very detailed work. This job took three men most of 6-8 hrs and there was never a complaint. I also can’t prove they were ever here as there is no mess or boxes left behind. I will breathe and sleep well this evening for the first time in a long time. We contacted Caloosa Cooling because they installed our HVAC unit when the house was built. We had a minor issue—something that easily could’ve been diagnosed over the phone—but instead, they insisted on sending a technician and charged a $130 fee just to “check it out.” (The issue itself wasn’t a big issue, we were told that information within the first 30 seconds of the technician entering the house) Conveniently, they then discovered a $2,000 problem that had nothing to do with our original concern. Even more frustrating, they proudly told us they could install a special “upgrade” part that would prevent this issue from happening again. Interesting, considering the system was installed less than two years ago. Why wasn’t that part included in the original install? When we questioned this, the supervisor explained—condescendingly—that they only install the basic version of the unit as it comes from the manufacturer, with zero upgrades. If you’re okay with problems popping up shortly after installation and being hit with unexpected charges, then by all means, go with Caloosa. But if you expect reliability, transparency, and fair service—avoid them at all costs.
Just installed a new AC unit about a year and a half ago. Never worked properly and finally stopped working completely about a month ago. Cost just under $12,000. A large selling point was the parts and labor warranty. Was charged $130 to come out and look at it and was informed it would be $1,500 to repair and this specific leak was not part of the warranty. Dissatisfied with my initial purchase, dissatisfied with the performance of the system, and dissatisfied with the proposed solution.
New home, Caloosa installed A/C. After 13 months, system failed: lost all refrigerant. Reason was a cracked nut (over torqued). Talked to owner/manager, refused any responsibility, fingerpointed to manufacturer (nut was an installation item and I recall a technician during the previous service visit tightening all the connections). Cost me almost 2000$! I think the nut was free… Needless to say, I don’t recommend them - and I switched to another service of course (it’s cheaper too)
Performed the first maintenance on our brand new system that we had zero issues with. They let a significant amount of freon out of the system (had to put 4lbs in) and we've had nothing but issues since. It doesn't keep the house cool and our brand new system isn't able to keep up and the house hits 80+ degrees every day. Have come back out several times and they state everything is fine. Hire someone else!
Horrible customer service and Very Unreliable. I recently contacted this company for a quote on a HVAC along with two other companies. The manager named Dave is very unreliable and rude. Do yourself a favor and call any other company in the area. Extremely unprofessional. I am going to hire another company.
I do not recommend them, they do not specify what the maintenance consists of, charging you dearly and leaving parts uncleaned, and they do not give you a contract with the specifications until they charge you, therefore you can no longer claim.
I was charged $350 to put in a fan that was under warranty!!! The service man took about 1/2 an hour to fix!! Price gouging!!
Caloosa Cooling took my money but never provided the service that they promised. In December 2023, I entered into a maintenance contract with Caloosa Cooling. They were to provide two cleaning / regular maintenance per year and they were paid up front for both. I scheduled my second service in June 2024. Caloosa Cooling canceled my service the day before my appointment because they were busy. They did not apologize and they expected me to rearrange my schedule to accommodate them. I called Caloosa serval time to reschedule, leaving messages each time (they do not answer their phone) and I have yet to hear back from them. Their business practices are unethical and certainly border on criminal activity as they scammed me out of my money.
We live in Naples, Florida. We bought an AC from this company a year ago, which I don't recommend at all. They are terrible, terrible, and we had horrible experience with them. Since the very first day we had problems with our AC. We had paid all the cost, despite the fact that the charges were pretty high. We kept having problems until today, having to deal with the hot weather. So we had another company check it and were told by the technician that the installation was wrong from the beginning, besides many parts having problems and some not having been installed at all. We had informed the company several times but they are soooo irresponsible. So just want to say we had terrible experience with them.
Caloosa Cooling installed my system in November 2019 and I have a 10 year warranty. The compressor failed July 22, 2024. Caloosa charged me $129 for the diagnosis, which is fine. They then gave me an estimate for $3500 for repairs which included an alleged discount on the new compressor of $1599.99. The compressor is under warranty from Lennox and would be free to them but they were going to charge me $1599.99. They were also charging me $399.99 for the fan motor which was also under warranty and would be free to them. They are a rip off. I got the same work done for $1800. Their warranty is worthless. Don't fall for it.
This place is filled with scheming fast talking liars. I was manipulated by Dave and his team into thinking I needed a bunch of expensive things to support my kid with severe allergies. When I complained that the systems they installed kept breaking they told me they no longer wanted to do service with me. I will post the transcript. These people make money getting you into long term payments with them and produce very little for it. Now I have a $17,000 system that can't be maintained and I'm still paying for it. Look on Google for my review when I first started. It was five stars now I'd give them a negative ten.
So Caloosa Cooling Installed my AC (New House) approx. 13 months ago and today the AC quit working so we called them out. Assuming they would fix it under warranty, they evidently found a shorted relay. They claim that electrical issues are not covered under warranty. Which to me is B.S. This was a part that cost around $70.00 so you would think they would at least have fixed it for a reasonable price considering the unit is only 13 months old. But no they reamed me good for $530.00. This is what you call a price gouging greedy POS of a company. I would NOT recommend Caloosa Cooling to my worst enemy.
Don't do it. Installed A/C new home construction was installed wrong with ductwork wrong size and no returns on one side on the house. it was 10 degrees hotter on one side than the other side. I questioned them about it and was told they knew what they were doing and was guaranteed. They came out 4 times and just didn't seem educated about installing A/C systems. At some point they quit answering my calls so I sued them and won very easily. I had to hire another Trane dealer to fix there mess. Trane Corp issued an apology for the bad workmanship. Don't do it!
Very frustrated with service. I have had an issue with my AC since I moved into my new home and they threw parts at it the first 4 times they came out with no result. Now that we are past the 1 year point they told me that they will now have to charge for parts even though the original problem still persists. Also, the last 2 times we have called for repair we have been told that they dont make repairs after 6pm. My house got up to 90 degrees inside. Imagine trying to sleep in that. Very frustrated.
Quoted me over 4 times the competition for repairing an air conditioner that is only 3 years old and still under warranty. They installed the junk to begin with. Then quoted me between $6600 and $12000 for a new unit when my neighbor just bought a great system for $2500 from a competitor. Make sure you get at least 2 or 3 other quotes - you will save thousands just by having the competitive quotes.
