Looking for the right contractor is a PITA, especially when something is supposed to last 30-50 years, one must do their DD. I called about 6 of them, checked all credentials and read reviews, spoke with them. A heads up of another contractor that I spoke with, a total used car salesman, all he did was looked at my roof from Google Earth's satellite image, never offered to come out to see it in person, pretty much started out stating that the best method is to leave the 24 year old singles and doing an overlay, claiming it'll last 50 years, which will cause the roof to be almost twice as heavy (probably because he does not want to do a full tear off to save time and money for himself), plus he said he'll throw in 2 roof vents for free for an almost 2000 sq ft roof, well, a roof vent is suggested per every 400 sq ft, so for my roof, it should be 6 total, so watch out. The company name starts with Ac... in San Francisco (read some of their negative comments and owner's replies, unbelievable). Anyway, now about Central Roofing, I thoroughly checked their credentials, reviews and spoke with them, not much issues contacting them or getting call backs/email replies. They are GAF certified (GAF is the manufacturer of the roofing supplies that they use and they have to go by GAF's installation requirements to qualify for GAF's warranty). Yes, I read some of their negative reviews, but one has to take those with a grain of salt, because not all customers are always right. I set up an appointment to get a quotation, the guy came out on time and provided a quote soon after, I asked the estimator about the roof vents, he suggested 6 low profile, just like I expected. I agreed and told them to go ahead with the job, they gave me an estimated time, but due to the weather, it got pushed back once or twice. When the weather was permissible, they contacted me on when they will start and they did start as promised in the beginning of December 2023. It took them two days to do a full tear off and complete the installation, including some small sections of gutter replacement. Workers were very polite and professional, cleans up after each day. Since completion, there were many days with heavy rain and I checked the attic each time and so far found no signs of leak. The roof vents during those windy and rainy days, when I checked the attic, I could feel a nice cool breeze blowing around. One last thing, I am not sure if Central Roofing will do this automatically or one must request it, to have them bring a Portable Restroom, they did not mention that to me, but I did request them to have one set up, so they did from a third party company and it's called Honey Bucket, lol. See image of completed roof that their worker took, I dunno, maybe he took the image with a potato/potatoe :-) Also, they did text me images periodically during the installation process. As of now, am extremely satisfied with their service, no complaints at all and that's what you want from a contractor.

After heavy rains, we noticed a leak in one of the bathrooms and decided it was time to replace our roof. As with all of our house projects, we reached out to several local roofing companies to get quotes for a full roof replacement. Fabian promptly came out to our house to take a look at the situation even though he was slammed with requests after all the rain. Central Roofing was quick to provide a detailed quote, and was not the highest nor the lowest of the estimates we received. We ultimately chose them Fabian was very responsive to all of our many questions asking for clarification on what exactly was covered in the quote and because of the extra guidance that was provided on how to it ensure there was the right slope created for proper drainage. We were also concerned about potential additional costs if there was dry rot found after removing the old roof - this is something that could not be quoted until after removing the old roof. We asked him to explain how much extra we would have to pay and he shared what has been typical for other houses in the area and let us know what to expect for a worse case scenario. It was nice to find that there were no additional hidden costs beyond what was quoted. Once the work began, the crew that came was quick and efficient. The only negative is that the crew did not provide us with updates on the work they had planned to do or had completed. We didn't even know when they were done for the day or if an inspector had come by. We had to reach out to Fabian for updates, but once we asked, he provided us with pictures and email progress reports. There was also a bit of miscommunication about when he would be stopping by to pick up payment for the work. These were minor inconveniences for a job that was down well within the promised time frame of 2-3 days. Overall, Fabian and the team at Central Roofing had expertise in roof replacements, offer advice and make recommendations that seem right for your specific situation, tell you if the work can wait or if it is urgent, and do not push the hard sell approach. The 25 year warranty on the work also says a lot about the quality of the work. I would recommend them to others!

Central roofing did a fabulous job replacing our roof. Our roof job involved replacing clay tiles in the front of the house, tar and gravel on one level and bitumen on another level. We chose to use presidential TL shingles on the front and torch down bitumen on the other sections of the roof. We obtained 5 bids, all roofers listed on Yelp. As far as the costs, central's bid was in the middle. We chose central because of the ease in communicating with Fabian, the owner, the details of his bid, and his willingness to answer our questions and to make adjustments to fit our needs. The work started exactly on time and was completed on time. Central has distinct crews, specializing in a particular area and were called in to work in well orchestrated stages of the job. There were the flat roof crew, the shingle crew, the sheet metal crew, the gutter crew. The site foreman, Ramon was on top of every stage of the job and each specialized crew worked in harmony with everyone. Every day Fabian would send us pictures of work performed, tell us what work will be done next and promptly and fully answered all of questions. We had some unforeseen dry rot and it looked as if it would be a big and costly job to replace. Fabian called his carpenters and in a half of a day the dry rot was taken out and replaced with new wood. There was no delay in the roofing work and the added cost was very reasonable. Fabian also had his sheet metal crew fabricate custom made domers over our windows and a huge metal flashing between our chimney and shingles. The outstanding workmanship continued when to our surprise Fabian decided to install metal caps over the entire perimeter of our roof including over the shingled roof to provide better waterproofing. Fabian also installed metal mesh to all chimney and roof caps to keep out pests. Now that the job is done, it's very evident that this company is proud of its work and its reputation. And we can honestly say that if there's any problems that may come up in the future (knock on wood that there won't be), central and Fabian will back their work 100%.

When I discovered a leak in one of our interior walls, it was time for a new roof. Our roof was an old tar and gravel roof from the 90s and it was no longer holding up. After doing lots and lots of research, I decided that PVC was the best material for my roof. We have a low slope roof so shingles were not an option. I contacted a bunch of roofers via yelp in San Francisco, Daly City, Pacifica and sadly the majority of them did not get back to me. Fabian at Central Roofing was one of the few that did and they did PVC roofs too. I got a couple other quotes and Central Roofing was in the middle of the pack. They were not the cheapest but I could tell that it was a good balance between quality and price. Fabian was responsive and so easy to work with. He gladly shared his expertise and I felt taken care of throughout the process. The installation crew did an awesome job. They kept the place clean and also accommodated my solar contractor. Mounts for solar panels were installed while the roof was off. Central then waterproofed them so that the solar guys wouldn't be drilling holes into the new roof. We also have an open beam ceiling in the living room and they were able to add additional insulation to make the space more comfortable. The roof has gone through a couple rainstorms now and things have been great. The roof should last another 20-30 years! I highly recommend Central Roofing!

These folks are amazing and highly competitive with their pricing. We have a small house at roughly 1,100 square feet. We also have, skylights, solar tubes and solar panels on our roof. When I had them come out and give me the estimate, they arrived at the exact time they said they would and completed the walkthrough quickly. I had the estimate in my inbox the following day. Their quoted estimate was highly competitive. Interesting enough, their estimate to remove the solar panels was HALF what the company our solar company (Sunrun) forced us to use. Oddly enough, that more expensive company didn't actually finish removing everything from the panels and Central was great about getting it done quickly. They quoted me that the job would take 3 days, but ended up getting finished in two. A couple of other things here: 1. They were amazing with the solar tubes and updated parts of the tube that needed to be replaced. 2. They automatically set up the permits and inspections so that I didn't have to do it myself. The last thing is this. While I wished they cleaned up a little better, they did this amazingly too. Replacing a roof is a very messy task. The debris that comes off of the roof is quite a lot and they can't possibly get it all. But they spent quite a bit of time cleaning up at the end. If you need a new roof, I'd give these folks a call.

As a result of the storms that we had this winter (22/23) we ended up with some leaks that were clearly coming from our roof. The severity of the winter has clearly put a strain on the roofing contract industry, however you would not know that from our experience with Central Roofing. At a time when many other contract firms did not even return calls or did not take appointments Central Roofing were responsive throughout, provided a competitive quote, and were able to get us on the schedule in good time. From the first contact with Fabian, through the scheduling and construction process the team have been responsive and efficient. During the progress they were able to share photos of the work - which is extremely useful if you do not want to climb onto a roof 30ft in the air. I have dealt with firms before that show up with 1-2 contractors for a large job, but Central Roofing showed up with a team of 5, had the demo done in a day and the whole roof complete in 3. After demo they discovered the plywood underneath our existing roof was in better shape than anticipated and were able to lower the price; a level of honesty and transparency that is appreciated. We were able to use the savings to replace a couple of smaller roofs and they managed to complete all the work in the timeframe. Overall this is the best contractor experience we have had.

We had a 29 year old roof that had took quite a beating this winter. We literally had shingles flying off of our old roof and would find them all over our front and back lawn every day. We reached out to 8 vendors after curating a select list from Yelp, Google reviews, and Nextdoor. All the quotes used similar materials and provided similar material and workmanship warranties. Fabian and crew came across as very honest and genuine - no upselling, no unnecessary additions, obscure language around warranties, or pushing to replace gutters and downspouts etc. Central roofing was very competitive and Fabian was very responsive and fantastic to work with. We were on a tight timeline and we had several vendors give us a 2-3 month lead time to replace the roof. They warned us that anyone who would agree to do it sooner was not doing it right. However, Central roofing was able to secure permits with the city of Burlingame in two weeks and get started right after. They finished their work right on schedule and it was very high quality. We received daily updates on progress. The city inspector cleared their work on the first attempt, no followups or fix-ups needed. The new roof looks great. The whole process, from start to end, was very efficient and stress-free. I would highly recommend Fabian and crew - you are in excellent hands.

Central Roofing did a great job with our new GAF Ultra HD roof. We had an old wood shake roof that was definitely due for replacement and after last year's big storm we knew it was time to replace it. I did my research and received a few different quotes from local roofers, I added Central Roofing at the last minute and they came out within a few days to provide a quote. Their quote was competitive for full roof replacement and gutters with the 50 year shingle and warranty. The shingles were backordered due to manufacturing delays but they scheduled us as soon as they came in. They started first thing in the morning and ripped off everything in one day. They even got some of the plywood up on half the roof on Day 1. They were very efficient, cleaned up every day, and even stayed late to finish covering the plywood when some heavy fog was due to come in. They have a good system in place with the dump trunk rolling in at the right time and materials being delivered and lifted up to the roof in a timely manner. The inspector came by regularly and everything went smoothly. The workmanship looks clean and we're very happy with their work and our new roof!

We had a damage gutter in the back of the house that consistently filled with debris from the trees in the backyard. In addition, we needed an additional downspout in the front of the house due to the high flow of water. We called 3 contractors, and eventually selected Central Roofing. Our roof was in bad shape and no longer matched the new paint color on the house. We got several quotes and finally settled on Central to do the work. I informed Central that there were several cracked boards on our roof that needed to be replaced. It was good to see them show up and make quick work of removing our old shingles and start the removal of the cracked and broken boards. By the 2nd day, most of the work was almost complete and was due for inspection. My family and I were getting ready for a camping trip, and I went into the attic to get some of our gear. That is when I noticed that there were now more cracked boards. We reached out to our contact Fabian to take a look. He looked in the attic, and we both agreed that all the work had caused some older boards to fail. He explained to the crew that the shingles would have to be removed in order to fix the problem properly. The next day, they got back to work and not only fixed the problem but finished the roof as well. It looks great, and we couldn't be happier with the outcome

I called Central Roofing to put a new roof on my house. They came really fast to give me quote. About 3 weeks later, they load on the roof with the material they will be needing. Next day a crew of workers start tearing down the roof to the bare wood. They clean up the roof. Then they start covering the roof with material covering the roof. After that, nice thick tiles are tacked on to the roof. The working crew works fast and keep on working. After all the roof tiles are done. Our house roof tiles looks really good. The Central Roofing really knows how to remove the old roof and put in a new roof. After a few days later they came back and put on brand new Chimney Caps. Fabian and the folks at Central Roofing are easy to recommend. Very responsive communication, competitive pricing, and quality work. Even with near constant rain over the past 3 months, they took the first chance with good weather to schedule our roof replacement, and were in and out in under three days. They explained the work they needed to do, and showed pictures and results along the way. We included gutters and down-spouts as well, and those were perfectly matched to the color of the trim and exterior paint. The crew was on-time and efficient, the day they showed up was within the expected time, and they were on the roof and starting the replacement progress within ten minutes of arrival. A few small areas of dry-rot were found, which were replaced and that service was cheaper than any of the quotes we had received from other companies. Central is easy to recommend, and we've already passed their info on to a couple friends as well!

We hired Central Roofing for a full re-roof that was completed in October 2023 and are glad to have partnered with them on this project. We obtained 4 quotes and decided to go with Central Roofing because of the affordability and positive feedback from other customers. Fabian was very responsive whenever we had a question about the project. The project was very straightforward it took 3 days (2 days re-roof and 1 day for re-stucco on chimney). The crew kept our property clean just like it was before the project started. One thing that I really appreciated is that we found out after the completion of the project (2 months later) that our gutters had some standing water and needed to be re-sloped. Last November's heavy rains let us know that our roof needed replacing. We contacted Central Roofing, a couple days later Fabian provided a very competitive estimate for a new highly reflective white TPO roof. Central Roofing's very professional crew came over the following week, replaced the old roof and installed the new roof in two days. Upon inspection of the new roof, looks great, very clean lines, the highly reflective roof surface should help keep the house cooler when the sun is out, a great improvement over the previous roof. I would highly recommend Central Roofing. They completed the job in 2 days and cleaned up after they were done for the day. Fabian and his team are very responsive to communication. Any issues and Fabian will be there to resolve it! He followed up on any dry rot to ensure there would be no issues in the future. I received 5 estimates for my roof and they were by far the most reasonable. I was able to upgrade to Ultra HD 50 year and my roof looks great. One more note; Fabian and his team are very easy to work with and it shows how professional they are for their customers.

We needed a new roof after our home insurance company decided they wouldn't renew our policy until we replaced our 15-20-year-old roof. Central Roofing was available pretty much immediately. They came out when they said they would, and replaced our roof in three days. They also were responsive to our insurance agent who needed specific documentation to prove the roof was replaced. Now we have a new roof. I haven't been up there personally to see it, but it looks good and very roof-like from down here on the ground.

We got 4 different quotes for replacing our roof in SF. Central roofing was significantly cheaper than the three other quotes, did high-quality work and was great to work with. Fabian was 1. clear, 2. responsive, 3. organized and 4. flexible. For example, his crew took some old lumbar from a different project to the dump at no cost. I got a number of quotes from roofers before I selected Central Roofing. What stood out to me was that they worked with an electrician to remove my solar panels and reinstall them after re-roofing, so that the panel installation was still covered under their warranty and it made scheduling everything much easier.
