I contracted Century Roof and Solar to repair my roof. Tony (owner) visited my home for a consultation and was very thorough in explaining my options. It was a clear he was a man who knew his roofs. His back office team was always respectful and responsive. The roofing crew was always on time and did good work from what I could see. There was one moment where a vent was accidentally damaged (I had an bad roof so not all their fault) during the initial consultation and Tony had a crew member come fix it for free, so clearly a man of integrity and customer first mentality. Tony also took a video call with me to talk through the statement of work and contract with me. His team pulled permits and did things right and by the book. I do wish the crew themselves were a bit more communicative of what was going to happen but maybe I'm just too much of a neck breather when it comes to knowing what's happening. They painted parts of my house and lining that were damaged due to work and damage from a different contractor. These weren't even a part of the original SoW with Tony so another customer first example. Anytime there was an issue or something wasn't 100% right, Tony got a guy to come out and make it right. If there was an additional cost, they were upfront about the cost before I ever signed so I knew what I was walking into if there was more to be done than planned. Crew members would always take picture and show me why something needed to be fixed. I do advise that clean up isn't perfect and they do their best but also double check after they leave. It's been about a year since they fixed the roof and it survive the rainy seasons. The house is clearly retaining heat better than before. Overall nice crew, great owner, and a roof that does the job right.

All additional work was clearly explained, fairly priced, and nicely executed. The end result is a roof I feel very confident will last another 30-40 years. As a construction contractor myself I really appreciate the whole experience dealing with the Century Roof team. I would definitely feel comfortable bringing them on to another project.

We had seven new replacement skylights installed and also needed some previous roof damage repaired. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. We needed some roof tiles to replace the broken ones when we replaced some of the damaged wood trim. I called Century Roof and Solar and was greeted by Kyla. She was very nice and efficient: asking the right questions and giving out precise information. When I came to pick up the tiles, even though it was 'wrong' hours (not between 6:30 and 8:00 am) Elena (?) was very helpful and got the tiles I needed. It was a small transaction. But I believe that if one does well in small things, one will do well in big things. I will definitely come back to Century Roof and Solar if I have any need, big or small, in the future.

Century Roof and Solar replaced our very old tile roof with composition shingles. To say the roof is beautiful would be an understatement. It is gorgeous!! And what a treat to work with the wonderful staff who were so particular each day with clean-up and so friendly.

I adore my roof, solar, and gutters. It makes me confident that my house is safe and protected from the top down. I got 3-4 quotes and Century was a little under the top quote, but that makes sense when you consider I got Ultra HD shingles, steel gutters custom made on premise, new siding, fireplace caps, skylights, and an entire solar system plus paid extra for a longer warranty. Well worth it given how impeccably the work turned out and the attention to detail his crew gave to each element of the job. They were additionally flexible to work with other contractors to enable them to put in insulation and lights while still getting the job done. The most challenging part of the job was timing to get started. Because of Tony's reputation (I learned about him from a friend who also have a beautiful new roof), he books up months ahead so his quoted start date was the farthest out and then we got impacted by weather and manufacturer shortage of panels. However Tony was also flexible around our schedule for starting the job and once we were a go the job moved quickly and our massive roof was done in 2 weeks plus inspections. He checked in every couple of days with updates as things changed (and they do change as you should expect all house projects to I've learned) but always had solutions. The only thing his team couldn't do was finish the ceiling/wall edge under my skylights that was exposed as the skylight was a different size than originally planned from the manufacturer. Every time I had a question Tony had great advice - he was right a lot and patient to answer in detail. The team was nice, respectful, responsive, and flexible. They take real pride in their work. The gutters especially - we still rave about them all the time, months later. To top if off I'm getting money back from PG&E each month which is exactly what Tony calculated - I wanted a bit more than I was using before so I feel well prepared as my electrical needs grow in the future. Century is the first company I call now for any roof, solar, or related work - and the first I recommend.

TLDR: Tony and his crew are as friendly as they are knowledgeable and its obvious they care about the quality of their work. We trusted their experience and the resulting advice for our project and it turned out great! Hire them with confidence. Longer version: We had effectively two 100 foot redwoods hit our house back in Feb 2020 from a wind storm which caused extensive roof and solar damage. Luckily, the prior owner of my house left the contact details behind for Century Roof and Solar whom did the original solar work. We called up Tony and he was a bright spot in the 'fun' we were having in sorting out framing contractors, etc with the insurance company. He was very friendly and had great examples of being an expert in the field...which we leaned on to get aadvice on pros/cons of addressing aspects of the damage. Given the extent of the damage, we decided to go ahead and increase the scope and swap out our old concrete tile roof for asphalt shingles, improve the solar a bit and get new curved steel gutters (look great!) while we were at it. That said, this huge roof/solar project had to wait for the general contractor to sort out county guidance regarding COVID and to complete the framing repairs...which took MONTHS. Tony and Elena were great in helping with scheduling out our 'stages' to deal with the complex project and players (partial tear off ahead of GC, tarpring, waiting on the scaffolding, etc etc). Once the GC wrapped up and Tony's crew could really get going, we really appreciated how approachable and knowledge everyone from Century was throughout the work. Emilio, in particular, was great at keeping me informed and discussing things as new scope was needed (found dry rot, sagging garage roof, etc). Tony Diaz and his company, Century Solar installed our solar panels - - twice!! Manufacturer defects in our panels resulted in the second installation. Tony was integral in dealing with the manufacturer. Our claim was reduced to a class action litigation where we joined multiple plaintiffs, as a class, against multiple manufacturers (including our manufacturer) and distributors, as the defendant class. Tony was instrumental in helping plaintiff's lawyers understand the solar industry and developing the litigation theory, strategy and tactics. The litigation was settled in favor of the plaintiffs. We received new panels - which Century installed. That was almost 10 years ago and here we are again faced with additional issues on the second install. Once again, Tony stepped up. There are plenty of horror stories in the solar panel industry. We came close to having our 'horror story' with our manufacturer - but not our installer thanks to Tony Diaz. decided to go solor and with the federal tax credit i also wanted to replace my existing roof which was shake, had 3 roofing companys come over and CENTURY was by far the best i dealt with. TONY was not only the MOST honest and Knowledgeable, he's also the owner, your not dealing with a salesperson! the work was great as was his crew, the products he represents is quality, no short cuts in the work, licensed , no GUYS with a pick up truck trying to sell you CHEAP roofing,. IF there were more stars CENTURY is a 10, also when the roof was inspected by the city they said CENTURYS work was one of the best around, i repeat inspected, no license no work, cost more but peace of mind and RECOURSE because of city inspection, oh and a shout out to ELENA his wife is the office manger and she was great also.

Tony is honest, personable, and just all around an awesome person. He came to inspect and provide a quote for roof replacement. He realized my roof is top of the line presidential roof and still in excellent condition and wanted to know why I would replace it. I told him it was for insurance coverage because I received a non-renewal unless I replaced the roof. Tony provided me with insurance agent contacts that would be able to help me out with a new policy....and I did receive one without having to get a new roof! What a huge relief for me! Update 7/9/22. We just had Century Roof and Solar install two Generac generators (at two separate houses) and the installation went off without a hitch. They clearly explained the process, were on time, the staff is very courteous, and the workmanship is excellent. Like the roof and solar installations they did for us, I would not hesitate to use them. We used Century Roof and solar for 3 roof replacements and 2 solar installations. They did a great job. This is the second time I have used CR&S for a major project, first roof and solar and now EV charger install. I looked at alternatives but due to complications quickly came to the conclusion that I needed someone I trusted to do the job. Dan was able to come up with a full specification design proposal and his electrician team successfully installed a 60A circuit with most of the cable run inside the crawl space and HVAC soffit. The quality of the work was exceptional. Cost was on the high side but well worth the value provided.
