Corey and his team at Cool by Design are second to none when it comes to Quality and Service. The entire process form the first visit for estimate to final install was EXCEPTIONAL! Corey and the office kept me informed every step of the way. Also, Corey spent time with me to educate and answer all my questions on the MinI Split product and install. Communication was amazing and they care about their customer having all the information they need for the entire project. The Install team was knowledgeable and efficieant and did a excellent job. They had my Mini Split installed, up and running in about 4 hours. The project manager (Dan) showed up an hour later to check out the work on the install (Quality Control) nice touch. Absolutely hands down Corey and his HVAC team at Cool By Design are indeed too professionals in what they do! My wife and I went through nice contractors before making our final decision. Luckily we came across Corey at the very LAST quote and company we searched for, for about six weeks! He was not only very thorough and professional as well as his quote was competitive and complete. We installed a whole new system including ducts in the attic. Two outside ACs and two inside air handlers. There has been almost five months and everything is running smoothly and perfectly. We got of course a permit and Corey assisted the entire process including the electrical process, installation, inspection and permit. We are extremely grateful for his professionalism and attention to detailsc constant communication, easy to work with, etc… for this very expensive and important investment to our home. We had our whole duct work replaced, air handler deep cleaned and a new air return box installed by Cool by Design last week. This is a company that values excellence of work and relationships with their customers. Every step of their process reflected this value. During the initial inspection, Corey Mullins, the owner, obviously extremely knowledgeable about HVAC system, was very direct in his assessment and recommendation of the scope of work, no sales pitch. We signed the contract the next day and scheduled. Throughout the process, Corey was always effective in his communications with us, and they went out their way to accommodate our needs by providing us a portable unit, sanitizing the attic, and they even cleaned our compressor the last day without asking. The air in our house is now cool, dry and fresh as a result of their excellent work!
Corey and his team are the best!!! We bought the newest technology they offer which is the side discharge inverter ac units and high are very efficient and very quiet. He is very sophisticated and technical when it comes to heat load, mold resistance, dew point calculation, seer2 ratings, financing options, insulation, humidity concerns…everything. I’d highly recommend this company for new installs and servicing. They are not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. Corey values his staff and pays them well as they are all very well trained. They were very clean for multiple installs and went above and beyond to get things perfect. We opted for specific add ons which you 100% should consider and they never tried to upsell us stuff we didn’t legitimately need. See pictures from their very clean install.
I had a great experience working with Corey and his team. He came out to quote a mini-split for my garage and a dehumidifier for the attic, and made a great recommendation to install the condenser alongside my existing AC units instead of on the front porch. I hadn’t even considered that option, and it turned out to be the better solution. We approved both jobs and left town for a trip to Disney with the grandkids. When we came back, I was honestly amazed. Everything was completed professionally, worked perfectly, and the house was cleaner than when we left. In my experience, most jobs leave behind a mess or something else to fix—but that wasn’t the case here. The attention to detail and professionalism really stood out. I highly recommend them and would absolutely use them again.
Our first experience with Cool by Design was wonderful. Chris our service technician arrived 2 hours after we called to request service for our AC unit. He explained the problem (fan motor burnt out) along with the two options for repair. Option #1 use the warranty and wait for the manufacturer to send a new motor (no AC for 4-5 days in South Florida) and a cost of $600.00. Option #2 purchase a new motor and repair immediately at a cost of $1,200.00. We decided option #2. Chris was well trained and very professional. As our first experience with this company, I was impressed at how fast they arrived, and that he had a new fan motor in inventory on his truck. I would strongly recommend Cool by Design to friends and family as our first experience worked out really well.
For two years I have used Cool By Design. They would check my aging system bi-annually and all would be fine. In November, Anil notified me the coolant was down. I figured I would purchase a new, more energy efficient Central A/C unit. I was very satisfied with my Rheem and RUUD, basically the same company, was recommended. I was also interested in getting the $2,000.00 tax credit. Corey let me know that it was expiring this year, so my April purchase became a December one. My new A/C system is amazing and super quiet. The wonderful thing about Cool By Design is if you have a question or a problem, they are right there to help. I know there are probably cheaper companies, but I am sure their customer service will not be as good.
My A/C stopped working so I called Cool By Design around 4 pm Thinking they would most likely come out the Next day . I spoke with Corey and he advised me he would stop by at around 5:30 pm on his way home . This was above and beyond the call of duty. Corey troubleshooted my system . Got it working and told me I had to replace a bad wire. Excellent work !!!! I will be using Cool By Design for all my HVac needs . Thanks for a job well done I had Cool By Design come out to replace some wiring in my A/C unit . They were punctual , knowledgeable and did a great job. Second time I have used them . I would highly recommend them . They know what they are doing and get the job done . Five star rating .
Top notch service. Corey found a leak in my system a while back. He quickly diagnosed and made effective repairs afterwards he recommended that I change out both my inside and outside units. Corey then took it upon himself to look up to see if I had any manufactures warranties left on my units. Corey found that I was still within the timeline in the for the manufactures warranty and quickly procured and received my parts. He and his team showed up on time made changed out my both my inside and outside units. I strongly recommend him and his team for any and all of your cooling and heating needs in South Florida.
16 hour move from Indianapolis to Ft. Lauderdale area - was not looking forward to potential snags in setting up our three pieces of SMART furniture…. This service was exceptional beyond words! The team fit us into their schedule one day early - were pleasant and professional. The new sofa and recliner were fresh out of the box … set up in less than 30 minutes (and included SEVERAL pieces plus technical considerations). They actually set up the Sleep Number bed faster and more efficiently than the manufacturer’s crew did in Indy! Without hesitation, HIGHLY recommend this service - they are THE BEST!
Corey and his workmen from Cool By Design replaced all the ducts in our house, re-insulated a 4-ton AC unit and moved it from the attic into the garage, and replaced a 2-ton unit in the house. Corey initially took the time to explain everything to me including the different options that I had and was fair with the price. The workmen came on-time, were pleasant and courteous, and cleaned up any debris they created. The job was finished in the time frame Corey set, and everything went well. I definitely would use them again if necessary and highly recommend them!

What a pleasure it is to work with a company that has experienced personnel. My A/C had stopped running, I called and within a day, I had a technician at my house. Chris McConnel, he was cordial, took his time checking on everything in my A/C. He diagnosed the problem quickly, and even checked to see if my unit was under warranty. He didn't try to sell me a new unit, but quickly found the part, installed it super fast, and left the work area pristine. I am sticking with this company!
Cool By Design led by Corey served us in an excellent manner for 2 separate contracts the first replacing entire system equipment and ducts and the second done 6 months later to replace equipment only and refurbish ducts. The fact that I used 6 months later for major work is a testimony in itself. Cool By Design knows what to do, they tell what they think needs to be done with options and then they do what was agreed. I highly recommend Cool By Design for repairs and service.

Our AC went out on a long holiday weekend, and our existing AC company failed to show for their scheduled appointment on Tuesday morning after the holiday. Cool By Design was able to have someone out within 3 hours to take a look at our system. The technician arrived ahead of schedule, was very professional and friendly, and fixed the problem very quickly and at a reasonable cost. Overall we were very pleased with the prompt and professional service we received.

From our initial consult with Corey through the entire removal of the old system and installation they were: timely, professional, courteous, clean, and thorough!! Contacted cool by design last night and they responded immediately and had a technician here the next morning. Anil arrived on time and listened to what I needed. He quickly got to work and fixed my problem. I will now be using Cool by Design for all my AC needs. Update: Since initial AC repair, Cool by Design installed a new AC unit, built a new AC platform and reinstalled another unit. Same experience as the first time on time and professional.
I had my A/C maintenance today with Anil. Great company, great service! 1. Reasonable price. 2. Anil - so knowledgeable, so thoughtful, very neat, very nice person. 3. He not only did a great maintanance job, but in addition, he changed something in the system - the noise went away, the temperature - more gradually going up and down, more even in all rooms. Our entire experience with Corey and his team has been excellent. The level of customer service we experienced from their entire team is refreshing. We originally had a mini-split installed in our master bedroom in April of 2025 (which as been great) but we called them out to work on our central air as well - and the experience as just as good. Robin and Anil were fantastic! Robin was quick and communicative working out getting things scheduled. She even saved me money by suggesting a better way than what I wanted to do. Then Anil came and crushed it and, unlike the last place that wanted to change the compressor, he charged the unit and got it back up and running with 30 minutes. Very professional and quality company all the way around!
Great Experience with these folks. Here's why... On Sunday, the drain line for the AC became clogged. The next day at 8 am, I called to request a repairman. He arrived at 11 am. The problem was solved by 11:30. Nice work, Anil. Thank you for your help! And... The repair didn't cost since I had a maintenance contract I totally forgot I had. Anil reminded me. This company is great from the top down, the office staff is super nice and always so helpful. The technicians are great, we always have kids in the house and they are very patient and kind with the kids. Also they helped us out with a system to resolve the humidity & mold when it was in the units and ducts and that means everything since we have had mold Illness from past exposures.
Moved to south Florida little over 2 years ago. Have been remodeling our home, from bathrooms, window replacement, stucco and painting. Have to say not very lucky with contractors. Cool by Design is by far the BEST vendor I have EVER dealt with. This is coming from someone who has hired vendors/subs for 20+ years to complete various home projects. My house is now TEN degrees cooler and my electric bill went DOWN $80/month! Locally owned, great product choices, fair prices, and phenomenal service = you can't go wrong with Cool by Design.
Corey and his team are in another league, and I do not say this lightly. They are extremely knowledgable. They work very clean and neat. Pricing is very fair. We had a whole house dehumidifier installed and other AC upgrades. Very impressed by them. No reason to look anyplace else. I highly recommend Corey and his team. Wish I could give 10 stars!
The guy came out and I told him exactly what was wrong which I also said over the phone I thought he would have on his truck the tools to fix a copper tube he called his boss and the boss gave an amount of 980.00$ which is insane that would mean the technician would be making over 300 dollars a hour. The technician said he would get back to me within the hour with a more realistic price but I haven’t heard back it’s been a few hours now . But all I’ve received is a bill for 99 dollars for me to tell the technician exactly what is wrong with th mini split the want twice as much as I paid for the whole unit to put a foot of copper tubing.
Called yesterday..twice. Never got a call back, never showed up.
DO NOT USE THIS MAN!!Greg came out to access humidity in my home. He told me it was because the coils were dirty and quoted me $600 per coil which is on the highest end. He also was there to figure out why the heat wouldn't turn on. He said it was because I had to buy a new Nest system for my wall. I purchased a newer system and he said I had to get the same exact one as he didn't know how to install a new one onto the wall. He said this would fix the issue. The very next day the heat didn't work again. I hired a different company and they found out that the heat kit was broken in the unit and that was the actual cause of the heat not working NOT THE NEST also cleaning the coils wouldn't fix the humidity issue as they said they could being dirty wasn't to the extent that it would cause a humidity problem. DO NOT USE THIS MAN. HE DOES NOT KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING. HE MADE ME SPEND 500 on his recommendations that did not work!
I called Greg yesterday to come out to repair my AC unit. He told me he couldn't make it that day, but he'd be here after 3 today. I texted him today to confirm he was still coming. He said yes. At 4:30, I texted to see what his ETA would be. No response. I called him. He picked up and mumbled something into the phone and hung up. I texted again and asked if he could please give me an update. No response... 30 minutes later- he said he can't come today. In the meantime, I called Prestige AC. They called me right back and spent time on the phone with me to diagnose my problem. They will be here tomorrow. Maybe Greg is having a bad day, but many of the other reviews talk about his communication skills. I experienced none of that.
I locked Greg's contact number in my phone as he provided excellent service when my AC needed to be repaired. The last time my AC went out, he told me that my 14-year-old unit needed to be replaced. I have had issues with the new unit he installed. It's been hard to get him on the phone, and I also discovered that he did not pull a permit when he replaced my unit. I have removed his contact information from my phone and will be search for a new AC company to repair a unit that is only one-year old. Then I will deal with the City of Pompano Beach on how to remedy the permit issue.
Greg told me he would arrive between 1-3pm today. I rescheduled work for his arrival but at 3pm no Greg. So I call him. He does not admit to being late or apologize only says that he would be there in 30mins. He arrives 1.5hrs later again with no apology. I asked him for a discount to the agreed quote since he arrived 4.5hrs late never mind my having to call him and of course he did not want to provide one so I sent him on his way. Make an appt at your own risk.
This guy is a Theif, STAY FAR AWAY FROM GREGS AIR SOLUTION!! He charged my grandfather ALOT OF MONEY & FIXED NOTHING ITS 80* Degrees in my house, This guy was NASTY AS HELL and Im Reporting him to the Attorneys Generals office, and the District Attorneys Office for Fraud and the Better Business Bureau and My Bank to stop and reverse the Check. I will find out if hes Licensed which i dont belive he is.
Around 10am I spoke with Greg who said he would be at my house for a quote between 3-5pm. He never showed up. Never called to say he would be late. Never rescheduled. Zero communication. Shame.
here's the problem with Greg . he charged 75$ for call but did not take off his fee for a 15$ capacitor. added another $120 labor for a 15 minute replacement and figured out the problem in minutes. added Freon which wasn't really needed . others companies do not look to add to bill but so many do. finding a straight shooter in Florida' is so rare if u find one keep him in your phone. let people know you have a honest guy or girl.
