Called to schedule a service visit to get a second opinion on an evaporator coil issue. They got me scheduled next day which was a pleasant surprise. Douglas was the service tech and he was absolutely top notch! He arrived promptly and was professional and courteous the entire time. He talked me through everything he was doing and allowed me to ask questions about everything without getting frustrated. Some service guys hate it when a homeowner gets too involved, but Doug didn’t mind at all. He did a thorough job of testing the system and arriving at a conclusion to suggest a solution. I appreciate that he talked me through his analysis so I could make an informed decision. This was great experience with Douglas HVAC and I wouldn’t hesitate to call them again.

I was referred to Douglas HVAC and I am so happy I used them. Doug was very professional and knowledgeable and worked extremely quickly in getting my AC fixed. He helped me out when I was in quite an emergency situation and really saved me. He was very clean and careful when he worked, and was in and out of my house within a few hours. Comparative pricing on new equipment had him at a much better price than the big companies for the same equipment. The owner is your salesman as well as the head of your installation team. Douglas was beyond helpful. I recently bought a new place and my A/C unit randomly stopped putting out cold air. I reached out to him while I was at work, expecting him to get back to me later in the week to tend to the issue, however he gave me a call back immediately and was able to change out the faulty condenser and insulation’s all before I got off work. Douglas is professional, very customer oriented and is on time. My air conditioning wasn't working and it was quite hot. He came over in the evening and was able to keep my house cool for that night. I purchased a new unit which was installed while he was on vacation. He texted me from vacation to be sure that everything was all right. he came over and checked everything upon his return. i called douglas to come in and he said he had an available spot to come in today. he kept me updated on when he would arrive and fixed my ac unit. it’s been broken for over a month… lol yes a month. apparently the gas was leaking so he needed to check out the roof. it took him about 20 minutes and that was it! very appreciative for the speedy yet thorough service provided. thank you !!!
The service is prompt and very conscientious. Our water heater was leaking and he replaced it the same day that I called him. He understood The urgency and took care of everything right away. Had Doug come out to check on my AC unit as it was not running cold enough. He looked for leaks in my system and tried to tell me he can’t find a leak after looking for about 1/2 hour. He fills up my Freon at $600 and tell me that’s he can’t find a leak. After I state there must be leak if you’re filling the Freon? He then double backs and says he’ll be back in the morning with a new device. He then magically find Freon oil everywhere and needs to replace the coil. I don’t trust him from my experience! Spent $1600 to fix my AC to have it leak water on my ceiling with 0 water in pan or drain line clogged Within a couple of weeks of him fixing my unit. I have him come out, I go up to see what he’s doing and he is ripping up my attic insulation to clean his hands! I asked him do you need a paper towel and to stop using my insulation and a hand cleaner! He then gets an attitude with me! Unprofessional
OMG!!!! RIP OFF! I called this company because of the great reviews, but should have paid attention and research a little more. My air conditioning unit is older. I called Douglas HVAC because my AC shut down. He came over and took a look at the unit outside and hooked up his gauges. Then he put a magnetic digital reader on the outside of the unit, not sure how that would actually read the PSI in the AC and have never seen it used before. He tells me I am out of freon and that Freon is like GOLD in this day and age. People need it. So he comes out and says lower the AC to the lowest point, at which time I had to run into the house. When I came out the little digital reader sitting on the outside of my ac showed 9lbs.!!!! My AC unit takes 16 lbs. Never heard of an AC that looses Freon that quick, since in January of 2021 I had a guy come out and pump 2 lbs of Freon in the unit. He also changed out the Capacitor telling me the part is $300.00 but he will not charge me for that (Which by the way is a $10-$15.00 part and not $300.00) and won't charge me for the labor but has to charge me for the Freon!!! $700.00 for the job. Suggested I get another AC and he has plenty in the shop. Not even a week later it was dead again. I called him out and was upset about the amount of money I spent, told him I found out what the part cost and feel like something wasn't done right. I was mad and irritated. He came out and you could tell he was not happy. He originally stated on the phone that he would refund the whole $750.00, but when he came out the second time he said I will take a loss and you will take a loss and handed me a check for $350.00. I WAS STILL RIPPED OFF!!!! When he came out the second time he said every bit of FREON was gone in my unit and there was nothing he could do and he was swamped and couldn't fix it. Well I called another company and they came out. There was Freon in the system. So DOUGLAS HVAC Lied when he said that every bit of Freon was gone the second time he came out. The new company replaced a Start Capacitor and told me to leave off the AC for 5 hours as the Compressor had frozen. I left the AC off, the guy replaced the Start Capacitor and it's running. The Start Capacitor was $41.00. The compressor was fine after 5 hours and everything is running. BEWARE of Douglas HVAC. He told me the larger the company the more money you pay. He has a very pretty truck, but you will pay for that pretty truck.
