Great technicians - keeping scheduled install time a challenge & higher price than expected. It was a pleasure working with both AC technicians John Renta and David Muniz. They were pleasant to work with, patient in answering all of my questions, and very knowledgeable about functionality of both A/C & UV light systems. There was prompt servicing by David who explained the UV light details, then allowed time for me to decide whether adding one of these units make sense for me. However, when John Renta came to my home as scheduled to install the light unit, he had not been told a taller ladder would be needed because my unit is attached to my garage’s very high ceiling. It took several additional reschedules plus follow-up with a manager to ensure they did not reschedule John to other jobs during my scheduled timeline -luckily there was some time flexibility on my side as I work from home periodically during the week. As for the price.. much higher than expected, higher than $$ quoted on Google for this service -at least David pulled up the prices online so I knew it was their universal pricing (not client specific as I’ve experienced in the past from other home repair technicians). They did provide a small discount for locking in annual maintenance plan and waived the initial service fee to clean my unit so appreciated the consideration. Really counting on this UV light part preventing mold and bacteria from growing inside my AC unit as it should improve my air quality.. needed for someone with allergies. Overall- David and John made this experience a pleasant one. I’d recommend them to others with the hope that all technicians with frank Gay are as knowledgeable and easy to work with.
I had an exterior faucet that was old, corroded and leaking. On top of that, the previous home owner had attempted to DIY some extra features where it exited a concrete block wall. I called Frank Gay Services to come out and see what could be done (they have solved some other issues on this house for us, so they are always our first call). Karol G., the technician arrived in the first 15 minutes of the appointment window I'd scheduled, presented himself and his ID, and took some photos of the problem. After thoroughly examining things, he took the time to explain how he could solve our problem - and the risks involved. He gave me two estimates, one for if everything goes as planned, and one for the worst case scenario [we were looking at some very amatuer plumbing coming out of a concrete block that might shatter]. I appreciated the straightforward, honest explanation, and told him to go ahead with the repairs. He was extremely careful during the work, and refused to brute force things (which would have broken the block, but made life easier for himself). After the old faucet was replaced, he demonstrated everything to show it worked, and pointed out some improvements I might want to consider down the road. I paid the bill with my debit card and we shook hands before he left. This was exactly the kind of service I've come to expect from Frank Gay - on time, personal and professional, reasonable price and completed without delays. I am completely satisfied with Karol's work, and recommend both he and his company, without reservations. Outstanding results, once again!
I needed a service visit because My A/c was running all the time. When I called Frank Gay to schedule the visit I was talked into the member plan, which included two visits a year. When the technician arrived he looked at the unit and then looked at the AHU and said nothing was wrong, probably just the high temps we were having. I finally convinced him to check the refrigerant levels. He put in refrigerant twice, and charged me two times at $100/pound, although I didn't see him ever weigh the tank? Long story short I convinced him to check the thermostat and he said he called the office and they agreed to have another tech look at it. We agreed that I would buy the thermostat and they would install it at no charge. They did do the install without reading the installation manual so when he left it was still not working. I read the manual, reset the Thermostat and now it appears to be fine. I will never use them again!! I Spoke with Jessica.Malkowski From Frank Gay Services, and she was very knowledgeable and apologized for the problems that I uncured. She explained the reason for the service problem that I had and helped to make sense of it all. It did appear to be an understandable mistake, so I have revised my review!! Thanks Jessica!
Semi emergency situation, electrical issue causing breaker to our well to trip, so no water to the house. I called Frank Gay Services and they had a technician to me within a couple hours on a Friday. Unfortunately, a personal situation occurred after the technician arrived and we had to postpone the diagnosis and repair. I called later that afternoon to reschedule. I was told that Brendan, the technician who came earlier, knowing we needed water would come back out that evening. Brendan is great. He did a thorough diagnosis and was able to figure out the issue as he worked into the night to isolate the area in need of repair. It was a bigger issue than could be repaired that night. Since Brendan would not be able to come back the next day he took detailed notes and pictures for another technician and was able to get us scheduled for the next day so we wouldn’t be without water until Monday. Ricardo arrived Saturday evening and picked up where Brendan left off. The repair was done, and the family could take a hot shower before bedtime that evening. Brendan and Ricardo were both pleasant, understanding, skilled and most of all hard workers. Thank you
I have had 8-yes 8 Frank Gay employees @ my home for the past 2+ weeks! You name it, it happened to me. This is my second review, as it is involving my 23 yr. old Trane AC. It needed replacement, but wasn't ready for the time or expense, until a nice tech, Carlos, said they could replace it the next day (a Sunday no less) Both Anthony & Eta arrived on time and went straight to work, removing, replacing, and hooking me up with a beautiful new Trane. They even removed the cement slab and replaced it with a clean new pad. Very impressed with solid workmanship ( difficult to find nowadays) with polite, respected and no judgement workers. They worked until the job was finished, cleaned up everything with a smile. So pleased I chose the company ( I've used before, but nothing this big). Two great employees and world highly recommend they be used if your in need of qualified AC techs.. Linda Reed
We called Frank Gay for a kitchen sink clog that was clearly beyond what we could handle (we tried the usual fixes with no luck). Our technician, OPM-02 Michael Myers, was genuinely excellent. After attempting the routine approach, he didn’t just leave when something wasn't adding up, but stayed and tracked down the real root cause. It turns out our kitchen piping was tied into an old line buried in the backyard, and that line had collapsed. Michael stayed well beyond what most plumbers would, and we’re really grateful he took the time to figure it out instead of giving us a temporary “band aid” fix. It’s hard to overstate how thorough, detailed, and kind he was. He not only got us taken care of that day, but also explained what was happening and why. We’re already planning a follow-up appointment with him soon!
We had a emergency repair needed on our hot water heater Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The emergency fee was $129 which was expected. Technician Robert ops-15 showed up around 930 pm. Other then paying $256 for a 15 minute repair on top of the $129 emergency and having to wait ovet 8 hours with no water. Our 1st time experience with FrankGay company was ok. Now to say how Robert ops-15 handled our emergency. Robert was very professional and well liked by our family. He came in and got the job done. I would highly recommend asking for Robert for any of your repairs needed. Robert is a good guy and very talented in the trade. Top-Notch Installation by Javier Flores and His Son! Javier Flores and his son delivered outstanding service installing our new Carrier A/C unit. From start to finish, they worked efficiently, professionally, and with great attention to detail. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of the installation. They were respectful of our home, explained everything clearly, and made sure the system was fully tested before wrapping up. The air is already cooler and more consistent throughout the house, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We had a major plumbing issue at our house over the holidays. I called Frank Gay on New Year’s Eve and they had someone respond in a couple of hours. Unfortunately the problem required more specialty expertise so we had to have another team respond the following day. Jonathan Pritchett was one of the most professional people I have ever had do work at my house. He showed up when he said he would and explained every step of the process so my wife and I knew exactly what was going on during the 2 day process. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the service and that it was done right. Frank Gay is the only company I would ever trust to do any work on my house whether it is ac, electrical, or plumbing.
It’s always difficult when something like a water leak causes damage to your home. Frank Gay services immediately responded and did a comprehensive leak detection, identified the source of the problem, and had it repaired in two hours. My technician OPS-07 Ben Tongue went out of his way to help me set up an appointment with a water remediation specialist who came out later that day and helped me file my insurance claim. Both technicians that came out from Frank Gay were great about my autistic daughter. They made sure they locked the front door every time they went outside and they were so nice to her every time she went up to them while they were working.
Mr. Henry Vazquez from Frank Gay (Electrical Dept) came out to my home on 27 October 2025. Three of my GFI plugs were fried due to the storm we had the night before. Mr. Vazquez was on time, very professional, and answer all my questions about repair. He also suggested protector for my home to prevent it from happening again. I like the service so much I requested a separate line be installed for my freezer in my garage. He did a great job on it. He’s coming back on Friday to install a separate plug outside on the Lanai I will definitely will use Frank Gay for any electrical work that I need done in my home in the future
I recently had to have a new electrical panel, an outside connect and smoke alarms installed by Frank Gay. I have to say that from start to finish I was 100% pleased. Michael Cavuoto was great with the paperwork and answering all of our questions. Carlos Rodriguez who did the entire install was very friendly and kept us informed as to what he was doing. Craig Novak came in to repair our drywall and was very friendly and polite. I had to call customer service a few times and that was a delight to deal with. As I said in the beginning of the review, I am 100% satisfied with the services of Frank Gay!
We had a large soft tissue clog at my mother’s house, courtesy of my 5 year old, we called Frank Gay and they sent out technician Keith out. Keith was quick efficient, and very thorough. He explained every step to my elderly mother, and she was able to trust him to do the work and charge appropriately. Sometimes we worry that companies may take advantage of these “shitty” situations and over charge. But Keith provided fair pricing, and went above and beyond. For this being an emergency Sunday service, we couldn’t be more thankful.
We have used Frank Gay for multiple services now and every single tech that has come out has been so so helpful. We love our family maintenance plan so we know everything that’s going on with our house. We recently had an electrical problem (tried to DIY it 😂) and one of their techs, David Armstrong, came to the rescue. He was so nice and even crawled up in our attic to make sure everything was done correctly! We really appreciate his help and hope if we ever run into any more issues he can be our guy!!

Someone recommended the company to me. I'm so glad I took their advice. The scheduling was easy. I definitely recommend getting the membership. The AC tech David Garcia was very communicative before arrival and during the maintenance. He explained things to me and showed me the different services he recommended. The tech was great but the price was 1100.00 for fixing a leak on the water service to my home. 3 ‘ of pipe in a hole 16” deep.The price was too high. I will not request future service from Frank Gay. The first tech said that they would not warranty their work. But they know they have you cause you got no water service to your home. That’s what I call taking advantage of people. It only took him an hour and a half at most. 😕

Frank Gay Plumbing wins the day!! We were preparing for a home inspection happening the next morning and discovered one of the faucets in our home needed the posi-temp cartridge replaced. I called Frank Gay around 4 pm, and they were able to send out OPM4-MATT HOLMES SAME DAY!! He was polite, professional and corrected the issue all before 8 pm. It truly made all the difference.

Very happy that Dwayne from Frank Gay Services could very quickly resolve our toilet stoppage. I did think it was covered under the warranty from the November 12 work done. So it hurt to have to write another check. Nonetheless, the quick response and resolution on Christmas Eve was certainly a 5 star event! I will always recommend your company!
Terricka provided excellent service over the phone, scheduling my annual maintenance for a/c, plumbing and electric and prioritizing a service call to get my front door lights fixed quickly. AVOID FRANK GAY!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. We hired frank gay to redo our AC ducts and some electrical work. The story starts three days before Memorial Day where they text me saying that they’re coming to the house to do work but give me no time or no information as to what work they’re doing. Tried calling six or seven times got the runaround finally on Memorial Day when they were supposed to come, we finally got answer saying that “Oh it’s for the electricity and now they’re coming on Wednesday”. When electricity gets here they tell us they can’t do the work that they were supposed to do because they didn’t coordinate with Duke energy to shut off the power. So they were only able to complete the AC circuit box outside. A couple days later we got another text saying that service has been scheduled without getting a phone call as to what the service is for or when. We finally get them on the phone after multiple attempts and they tell us that it’s for a AC work and that the person has to come do the heat mapping Friday. Well, the person to come do the heat mapping that Friday shows up hours late(scheduled for 8-10am arrived 4:30pm). Yesterday and today they are doing the ductwork and these people decide to take out all of our ducts before they have the replacements. They finished tearing out, basically our whole entire attic by 12 and the replacement ducts don’t show up until 5 PM which is closing time for them because they will not work past 5pm. So we had to find alternative sleeping for the night with two large dogs, Who mind you have been sweating it out all day yesterday and today on 90+ degree days (infront of a fan with plenty of ice water but still you try having a fur coat on in a FL summer day) Fast forward to today, it is currently 5 PM as I’m writing this, and they are only halfway done with putting in the vents and returns into the ceiling which THEY OVER CUT on, and all the holes now have to have drywall people come to my house to fix the over cuts. We were promised this would be completed by today and it’s not going to be. We have contacted customer service multiple times and all they can tell us is that the ticket is being elevated. No manager has called us. No one in the company seems to care. Meanwhile, my house is destroyed and we will have another night without AC.
TL;DR - Frank Gay’s repair estimate was double what I actually paid another company, and that second company found Frank Gay’s poor installation may have caused the failure in the first place. ⸻ I’ve used Frank Gay Services since 2010 without issue, so I overlooked their bad reviews. Big mistake. In 2019 I paid $4,500 for a new air handler and condenser, installed by Frank Gay. When the unit recently failed, I called them back. Their technician quoted $3,200 – $6,000 for repairs — nearly the cost of the entire new system! One quote even suggested replacing the unit, which was still under manufacturer warranty. When I called the office, they couldn’t even find my 2019 install record until I sent proof. After hours without A/C, they finally located it but still stood by the inflated prices. When I questioned how labor to swap a few parts could cost so much, I was told that “a different part of the company” did the original work and “they’re no longer affiliated.” Translation: different pricing for homeowners vs. commercial clients — and we pay more. I decided to get a second opinion. The new company was professional and transparent. They walked me through leak detection, showed exactly what needed fixing (and what didn’t), and even identified multiple poor quality installation issues from Frank Gay. They corrected the install issue and completed all needed repairs for less than half of Frank Gay’s lowest quote — around $1,500 total, including $300 to fix Frank Gay’s original mistake. ⸻ Frank Gay should be ashamed of their pricing, customer service, and lack of accountability. Their poor install possibly caused the issue, and their repair quote was outrageously inflated. I will never use them again and strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to any of their estimates.
Don't waste your time and money. Sent a kid out who knew less about plumbing than I do and all he wanted to do was upsell services that had absolutely nothing to do with my kitchen sink drain clog. Wanted to check water pressure for a drain clog? Wanted to charge $1500 for drain de-greasing without even trying a snake or camera? Upsell included scary pictures of grease buildup in commercial drains. What a shady business model. Charged $39 for diagnostic services. I asked him what he diagnosed and he had to admit nothing. Steer clear of this company for plumbing, electrical, or any other "service" they offer. UPDATE: Frank Gay rep called me today to ask if there was anything they could do to make up for the poor experience. I said refund my $39 since they did nothing to earn it. They said they would only if I changed my 1 star rating to 3 stars. I told them my integrity was worth more than that and they could keep it. BTW I had the clog removed by Tony Squiteri plumbing for $300 later that day. Tony Squiteri provided fast, friendly, knowledgible, professional, and honest service.
Signed up for the their maintance plan on our vacation condo. Had the AC/electrical service done as well as a plumbling/hot water tank replaced. All service completed was an 8/10 however for what we paid for the hot water tank and install we can no long close the door properly as before install and the tank installed was the exact same as one replaced. Also, the exterior of our home where the tanks were brought in and out made such a mess that our HOA/building monitor is making us have to make the entrance as before which will require painting and other projects on our part. The biggest resons for a 1 star review are their pricing is excessive. We had to do it due to our schedule but could have atleast saved 35% using other local service companies. Lastly and most unacceptable... I have tried on three different conversations to end annual service agreement/contract. Each time I am told I would be receiving a confirmation email showing cancellation and have yet to see any email.
Installed my hvac 4 years ago and at least twice a year I have an issue they need to come out and fix while selling me their membership. Upon one visit checking for a leak (that was not there) the guy Angelo left and forgot to turn the breaker back on to my ac. After 20 min I felt right away the house starting to warm up. I have two kids in the house one baby so I was not happy. I right away called and asked for a callback. Couldn’t get anyone back to the house to fix what they messed up. The simple call back came at 4:00 when I was told he accidentally forgot to turn the breaker back on which I had to do myself with baby and toddler in tow. A stupid mistake and a simple phone call I had to wait 6 hours for. On top of all that the tech I had scheduled , never even came!! I wouldn’t trust them and will never use them again.
I recently hired this company for plumbing work, and during the job, their plumber accidentally cut into my ceiling and damaged my air conditioning duct. This has left me with both a large hole in my ceiling and a damaged HVAC system that now needs repair. I understand accidents can happen, but what matters is how a company responds. At this point, I’m still waiting for them to take responsibility and help with the repair costs. As a customer, I shouldn’t have to cover the expense of fixing damage that occurred during their work. Also paid a little under 300 dollars for him to come out and not diagnosis the issue and cause more damage to my home. I hope management will step up and make this right by arranging proper HVAC and drywall repair. Once that happens, I’ll be glad to update this review.
Commercial services of than 50k spent over the course of using this vendor and I can't even get a service rep to send me a an accurate bill reflecting services rendered. The customer service line is absolutely terrible. EDIT: To those who see that Owners note below, dont be fooled. No one has ever reached out and my family is still down. Do not use these people in a pinch. You will get burned. The techs are fine for most commercial work from what I've done to my site, however, the service reps? Holy cow. The customer service line alone makes me want to find a new vendor. If you're a business and want ease of customer service, save your employees the headache and go with Westbrook. And I like Frank Gay.
TOO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: ANY of you who need a plumber within the service area of Frank Gay Services, DON’T! Total RIPOFF! Frank Gay Services quoted me a $39 service charge for my hot water heater. Apparently, that was for the technician to come out, say “Yep, you’ve got one.” ,and THEN say it’s $256 to run a diagnostic! Sure it be applied to repair cost, but I feel like I just threw away $39. We are retired, on a fixed income, and feel they should have told us up front that it was gonna cost almost $300 to get a REAL estimate. So, ripoff.
I called and called but repeatedly got a message saying there was an "application error". So much for their AI answering service. Next I tried putting in a request through YELP but never got a return call through that either. So my experience is that if you are not able to contact a business to book in an appointment, they are likely not very reliable. Sad because I called them specifically due to their history of 5 star ratings and returning calls in 10 minutes......

Just wanted to write a review about a great crew! It’s our first experience w/Frank Gay Services & so far we’ve been very happy with Carlos who fixed our old, broken 29 year old A/C after it suddenly went on the blink last week! We also signed up that day for a new A/C unite w/Frank Gay! The very next day, the crew showed up promptly & on time to install our new unit. They were very respectful & friendly even to our dog Max. Alexis, their lead, explained what he, Hermivier & Javier would be doing that day which was to remove our 30 year old A/C unit & replace it with a brand new unit. It was a job that should take roughly 5 hours or so, provided there were no issues. They worked quietly & steady & things seemed fine. But then there was an issue. See, our A/C unit was old! And our house was the actual sales unit from which the houses in this community were sold from 30 years ago…so there was unusual upgrades & setups which were made back then. As a result, many of the elements in our home have become out of date, out of stock & very difficult if not impossible to replace. In order to complete the job, the crew needed a specific part which they didn’t usually carry. But the crew didn’t just quit & go home after 5 hours of work. They didn’t leave us in the heat! They reached out to their supervisor, Mr. LaQuann, who was far away & he located the missing part needed, drove far to pick it up & delivered it to my house asap. What should’ve took the crew 5 hours would take them double that time to complete…but they didn’t give up. They made it happen for us & they got the job done well into the evening! LaQuann even brought a bucket of KFC for them & we were delighted to see how he cared for his crew! My husband & I felt so bad for them because we know that their day was long & hot as they continued to work to complete the installation of the new A/C unit. They didn’t complain or tell us they were gonna come back tomorrow to complete the job & for that we were so grateful. My husband is battling cancer & having no A/C really affected him adversely. So when we could feel the cool air begin to flow again that evening, we were overjoyed & truly grateful that this crew didn’t give up but the stood the course & finished the job for us! Around 9pm or so, they were done. Hermivier was the last to leave & when we saw him start to sweep up the area where they were working, my husband told him it wasn’t necessary & that we could finish sweeping. We knew he had a long day & we told him that he could go home but he wouldn’t leave until the job was 100% complete! He swept up the entire area making sure it was spotless. Then he explained how to use the new thermostat before he left for the day! He was clear & thorough w/his instructions of the device! We definitely recommend FRANK GAY Services & have signed up with them for duct cleaning & A/C maintenance so we will be seeing them in the future!
