Great technicians - keeping scheduled install time a challenge & higher price than expected. It was a pleasure working with both AC technicians John Renta and David Muniz. They were pleasant to work with, patient in answering all of my questions, and very knowledgeable about functionality of both A/C & UV light systems. There was prompt servicing by David who explained the UV light details, then allowed time for me to decide whether adding one of these units make sense for me. However, when John Renta came to my home as scheduled to install the light unit, he had not been told a taller ladder would be needed because my unit is attached to my garage’s very high ceiling. It took several additional reschedules plus follow-up with a manager to ensure they did not reschedule John to other jobs during my scheduled timeline -luckily there was some time flexibility on my side as I work from home periodically during the week. As for the price.. much higher than expected, higher than $$ quoted on Google for this service -at least David pulled up the prices online so I knew it was their universal pricing (not client specific as I’ve experienced in the past from other home repair technicians). They did provide a small discount for locking in annual maintenance plan and waived the initial service fee to clean my unit so appreciated the consideration. Really counting on this UV light part preventing mold and bacteria from growing inside my AC unit as it should improve my air quality.. needed for someone with allergies. Overall- David and John made this experience a pleasant one. I’d recommend them to others with the hope that all technicians with frank Gay are as knowledgeable and easy to work with.
I had an exterior faucet that was old, corroded and leaking. On top of that, the previous home owner had attempted to DIY some extra features where it exited a concrete block wall. I called Frank Gay Services to come out and see what could be done (they have solved some other issues on this house for us, so they are always our first call). Karol G., the technician arrived in the first 15 minutes of the appointment window I'd scheduled, presented himself and his ID, and took some photos of the problem. After thoroughly examining things, he took the time to explain how he could solve our problem - and the risks involved. He gave me two estimates, one for if everything goes as planned, and one for the worst case scenario [we were looking at some very amatuer plumbing coming out of a concrete block that might shatter]. I appreciated the straightforward, honest explanation, and told him to go ahead with the repairs. He was extremely careful during the work, and refused to brute force things (which would have broken the block, but made life easier for himself). After the old faucet was replaced, he demonstrated everything to show it worked, and pointed out some improvements I might want to consider down the road. I paid the bill with my debit card and we shook hands before he left. This was exactly the kind of service I've come to expect from Frank Gay - on time, personal and professional, reasonable price and completed without delays. I am completely satisfied with Karol's work, and recommend both he and his company, without reservations. Outstanding results, once again!
I was having problems finding a good plumbing service for my drain Field. I was about to give up when i know it was God that led me to Frank Gay Services the young man Name Eli which was the technician on this call come and i begin to explain to him what was going on, he automatically knew what the problem was, he got to work and he was the only technician out of the 3 that i had used went to digging out the ground and found the solution. I paid a company 3 years ago to pump out the drain and all he did was pump but did not rinse or clean the other pump which backed up my drain field, this young man name Eli worked and resolve the solution and did an outstanding job, his personality his attitude and most of all his passion for his job showed awesome work, I will suggest to anyone that have problems with their drain filed, or need a pump or HVAC anything i will always refer them to Frank Gay, this is a proffesional company that cares and resolving the issues, and the price OMG was so reasonable i am so happy and proud of the work that ELI perform was beyond awesome, I will definitely purchase my drain field from Frank Gay and i don't want any other company but this company to work on my home, I trust their work and integrity. words can not explain how Happy and proud of the job that was done by ELI, he is the one that i want to replace my drain field. I needed a service visit because My A/c was running all the time. When I called Frank Gay to schedule the visit I was talked into the member plan, which included two visits a year. When the technician arrived he looked at the unit and then looked at the AHU and said nothing was wrong, probably just the high temps we were having. I finally convinced him to check the refrigerant levels. He put in refrigerant twice, and charged me two times at $100/pound, although I didn't see him ever weigh the tank? Long story short I convinced him to check the thermostat and he said he called the office and they agreed to have another tech look at it. We agreed that I would buy the thermostat and they would install it at no charge. They did do the install without reading the installation manual so when he left it was still not working. I read the manual, reset the Thermostat and now it appears to be fine. I will never use them again!! I Spoke with Jessica.Malkowski From Frank Gay Services, and she was very knowledgeable and apologized for the problems that I uncured. She explained the reason for the service problem that I had and helped to make sense of it all. It did appear to be an understandable mistake, so I have revised my review!! Thanks Jessica!
I would first like to extend my sincere thanks to Thomas Gold and Antonio Diaz. They both were extremely courteous and professional, I would highly recommend giving them a call for your air conditioning repair needs. I found myself in a frustrating position when I reached out to ARS to get my ac unit fixed. Not only did they diagnose the problem incorrectly and overcharge me for something I didn't need, they also weren't exactly honest about when their parts were to be available. I had to chase them around in hopes that they could restore my home to a comfortable living space and they failed to do their jobs. From start to finish, I felt valued as a customer. Thomas and Antonio took their job seriously and accommodated me to the best of their abilities. Not only did they do a great job they also went out of their way to save me money. They responded very quickly too, I called at 8:30 in the morning and they were at my house by noon and guaranteed the job would be complete within three days. So, do yourself a favor stop searching for another company and go with Frank Gay for your repair needs. You won't be disappointed. I give them 6 out of 5 stars
I had a great experience with Frank Gay Services today. Our technician, Keith Robinson (OPD-02), arrived on time, was extremely professional, and took the time to thoroughly diagnose an issue with our shower drain. Keith explained everything clearly, walked me through the diagnostic process, and made sure I understood the situation before recommending any next steps. He came fully prepared with the right equipment and completed the work efficiently while maintaining a very friendly and respectful attitude throughout the visit. It’s not always easy to find technicians who combine technical expertise with great customer service, but Keith definitely delivered both. We had a emergency repair needed on our hot water heater Saturday afternoon at 1pm. The emergency fee was $129 which was expected. Technician Robert ops-15 showed up around 930 pm. Other then paying $256 for a 15 minute repair on top of the $129 emergency and having to wait ovet 8 hours with no water. Our 1st time experience with FrankGay company was ok. Now to say how Robert ops-15 handled our emergency. Robert was very professional and well liked by our family. He came in and got the job done. I would highly recommend asking for Robert for any of your repairs needed. Robert is a good guy and very talented in the trade. Top-Notch Installation by Javier Flores and His Son! Javier Flores and his son delivered outstanding service installing our new Carrier A/C unit. From start to finish, they worked efficiently, professionally, and with great attention to detail. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and it shows in the quality of the installation. They were respectful of our home, explained everything clearly, and made sure the system was fully tested before wrapping up. The air is already cooler and more consistent throughout the house, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. I recently had to have a new electrical panel, an outside connect and smoke alarms installed by Frank Gay. I have to say that from start to finish I was 100% pleased. Michael Cavuoto was great with the paperwork and answering all of our questions. Carlos Rodriguez who did the entire install was very friendly and kept us informed as to what he was doing. Craig Novak came in to repair our drywall and was very friendly and polite. I had to call customer service a few times and that was a delight to deal with. As I said in the beginning of the review, I am 100% satisfied with the services of Frank Gay!
We had a large soft tissue clog at my mother’s house, courtesy of my 5 year old, we called Frank Gay and they sent out technician Keith out. Keith was quick efficient, and very thorough. He explained every step to my elderly mother, and she was able to trust him to do the work and charge appropriately. Sometimes we worry that companies may take advantage of these “shitty” situations and over charge. But Keith provided fair pricing, and went above and beyond. For this being an emergency Sunday service, we couldn’t be more thankful.
The tech was great but the price was 1100.00 for fixing a leak on the water service to my home. 3 ‘ of pipe in a hole 16” deep.The price was too high. I will not request future service from Frank Gay. The first tech said that they would not warranty their work. But they know they have you cause you got no water service to your home. That’s what I call taking advantage of people. It only took him an hour and a half at most. 😕

These guy had a human answer the phone, had a tech out to my house within an hour and then, David & Tre showed up the next morning and swapped out an entire AC system within 4 hours. Jose came out to check a breaker that kept blowing when my stove was being used. The wiring was done by another local company. It took about 20 minutes for Jose to diagnose, quote a price, and fix the problem. Fast, efficient, and professional. Job well done all around.
DO NOT USE THEM!!! Management refuses to call us back to fix issues during install. Horrible experience with this company. I made sure to look up electricians in my area (Tampa) and this company came up as a top performer. Well the tech that initially came out to diagnose the problem (Eric) was amazing. He gave us a few options, was kind to us and our family. When we decided on the fix (breaker box replacement), they quickly scheduled us for the repair. The installation tech came out, told us it would be a half day without power. That was the first lie. We were 8 hours without power and by 5pm, the tech came to us and said he was tired and would have someone else come out the next day to finish the project. He got main power on but couldn’t fix half the house lights circuits. So that was extremely annoying bc we were without lights in the kitchen, dining room, office, living room and laundry room. Eric came back out the next day and fixed the lights issues immediately but said the install tech did the breaker box wrong and will not pass code. So we will need to set up another day to have this whole project REDONE. so what does this company do? They schedule us with the same install tech to come back out and fix it. We have reached out several times to management and they refuse to call us back. They keep having their middle man secretary call us. They refuse any sort of discount. This company is just here for the money. I will never call this company again. Probably fine to work with unless a problem arises. So tred carefully. I will update this review IF we get a call back. Update as of 6/16/26: a person claiming to be “Ryan” said to be an electrician manager called. (Later found out through my own digging he is the assistant manager) said he was trying to reach out to be for a week. After looking at my call history, that is false. He called me one on the 3th of this month that I missed and didn’t leave a voicemail. Then called me today that I missed and did leave a voicemail so I called back. Told us that our 10% discount we got initially for our military service (both my spouse and I are veterans) should suffice for all the issues we have been having. Note we failed enough electricial inspections so a THIRD technician needs to come out to make corrections on our breaker box. We disagreed that the military discount would suffice as I have missed multiple days of work now. and when we asked to have his managers name and number he refused. And he also refused to give us his full name. He said he would make a note for the ticket and then his manager would decide to either call us or not. After we hung up with him I found his managers name and number through a contact and turns out the actual electrical manager (Shelby) has blocked our numbers associated with our account. He has never once reached out to us, nor have we been in contact with him. At this point it’s the principle of poor business practices. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
AVOID FRANK GAY!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. We hired frank gay to redo our AC ducts and some electrical work. The story starts three days before Memorial Day where they text me saying that they’re coming to the house to do work but give me no time or no information as to what work they’re doing. Tried calling six or seven times got the runaround finally on Memorial Day when they were supposed to come, we finally got answer saying that “Oh it’s for the electricity and now they’re coming on Wednesday”. When electricity gets here they tell us they can’t do the work that they were supposed to do because they didn’t coordinate with Duke energy to shut off the power. So they were only able to complete the AC circuit box outside. A couple days later we got another text saying that service has been scheduled without getting a phone call as to what the service is for or when. We finally get them on the phone after multiple attempts and they tell us that it’s for a AC work and that the person has to come do the heat mapping Friday. Well, the person to come do the heat mapping that Friday shows up hours late(scheduled for 8-10am arrived 4:30pm). Yesterday and today they are doing the ductwork and these people decide to take out all of our ducts before they have the replacements. They finished tearing out, basically our whole entire attic by 12 and the replacement ducts don’t show up until 5 PM which is closing time for them because they will not work past 5pm. So we had to find alternative sleeping for the night with two large dogs, Who mind you have been sweating it out all day yesterday and today on 90+ degree days (infront of a fan with plenty of ice water but still you try having a fur coat on in a FL summer day) Fast forward to today, it is currently 5 PM as I’m writing this, and they are only halfway done with putting in the vents and returns into the ceiling which THEY OVER CUT on, and all the holes now have to have drywall people come to my house to fix the over cuts. We were promised this would be completed by today and it’s not going to be. We have contacted customer service multiple times and all they can tell us is that the ticket is being elevated. No manager has called us. No one in the company seems to care. Meanwhile, my house is destroyed and we will have another night without AC.
I chose Frank Gay for my EV home charger installation because Duke Energy requires the work to be completed by a licensed contractor in order to qualify for the available rebate/credit. Unfortunately, the process was far more difficult than expected. It took approximately two months to receive the final permit, with very little communication and significant delays throughout the process. The biggest issue came afterward. Duke Energy requires an itemized invoice that separates labor and material costs for rebate processing. Despite multiple requests and months of back-and-forth communication, Frank Gay has refused to provide an itemized invoice. As a result, I have been unable to submit the documentation required by Duke Energy. Had I known in advance that Frank Gay would not provide the necessary invoice documentation or work with me to meet the utility's requirements, I would have chosen a different contractor. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend them for EV charger installations where rebate or incentive documentation is required.
So far my experience has been terrible 😕. I spent 34,000 on 2 properties. 2 new AC units deluxe plan and I have water coming up through the floor because the water pump is not working. Someone came at 8:30 pm and said put towels on the floor. I don't have that many towels. A technician should have been at my door first thing in the morning but they cant even give me an ETA. I have 2 toddlers and 2 dogs and water everywhere. I don't think I'm being dramatic its just extremely messy and I'm just suppose to deal with it. This is unacceptable 😤. This is ruining my time with my family. Well it only took a week to finally get my brand new 17,000 AC system running properly. Frank Gay refuses to accept any responsibility for the damage done to my floors. The icing on the cake is that I'm now having issues with the $16,000.00 brand new AC unit I also had installed at my rental property. THANKS FRANK GAY! I DEFINITELY PICKED THE WRONG COMPANY. WORSE SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Signed up for the their maintance plan on our vacation condo. Had the AC/electrical service done as well as a plumbling/hot water tank replaced. All service completed was an 8/10 however for what we paid for the hot water tank and install we can no long close the door properly as before install and the tank installed was the exact same as one replaced. Also, the exterior of our home where the tanks were brought in and out made such a mess that our HOA/building monitor is making us have to make the entrance as before which will require painting and other projects on our part. The biggest resons for a 1 star review are their pricing is excessive. We had to do it due to our schedule but could have atleast saved 35% using other local service companies. Lastly and most unacceptable... I have tried on three different conversations to end annual service agreement/contract. Each time I am told I would be receiving a confirmation email showing cancellation and have yet to see any email.
I had a brand new hot water heater installed. They have been out every single day for almost 2 weeks because of something they did wrong. They have two pipes that just randomly drain water into the pan whenever there’s too much pressure from what the last guy said now this new guy says that it’s completely normal for them to pop off and drain into the pan. I said no it shouldn’t be like that. I have never seen a hot water heater to wear it just sits in water constantly. That shouldn’t be normal like the guy said. you can clarifies that there is nothing he can do. This is completely normal. I would never use Frank gay services ever again. I would never recommend these people to anybody for any reason paid over $2000 and they have been out every single day.
Commercial services of than 50k spent over the course of using this vendor and I can't even get a service rep to send me a an accurate bill reflecting services rendered. The customer service line is absolutely terrible. EDIT: To those who see that Owners note below, dont be fooled. No one has ever reached out and my family is still down. Do not use these people in a pinch. You will get burned. The techs are fine for most commercial work from what I've done to my site, however, the service reps? Holy cow. The customer service line alone makes me want to find a new vendor. If you're a business and want ease of customer service, save your employees the headache and go with Westbrook. And I like Frank Gay.
Service tech was underhanded and signed me up for a renewal service that I did not know would be a subscription. Quoted it like it was their repair price. Find out this month they try to withdraw money from my card which is locked. Apparently I've already paid for a tune up on our system but they won't honor it now because I'm not renewing their services and never used the tune up. Scam company with scammy techs. Do not ever use.
They solved the problem but the price was high, the guy was slow after a few mistakes, and left garbage debris that he dumped in the grass. If I paid $200 or did it myself I wouldn't complain $700 for what should have been an hour of work. He kept trying to upsell everything I asked about for another 200 plus dollars. It was unprofessional. The service was unclog a drain and replace a sensor. I had to stop working my job to help him do his job because somehow he had to fix a new problem other than the one I called about. And water was spilled on the ceiling material leaving additional stains that I will have to paint over now.
I called and called but repeatedly got a message saying there was an "application error". So much for their AI answering service. Next I tried putting in a request through YELP but never got a return call through that either. So my experience is that if you are not able to contact a business to book in an appointment, they are likely not very reliable. Sad because I called them specifically due to their history of 5 star ratings and returning calls in 10 minutes......
Like many of the providers on Yelp, this was another one that responded initially and then just disappeared without a trace. Fortunately, there are enough options out there to find reliable companies.

Just wanted to write a review about a great crew! It’s our first experience w/Frank Gay Services & so far we’ve been very happy with Carlos who fixed our old, broken 29 year old A/C after it suddenly went on the blink last week! We also signed up that day for a new A/C unite w/Frank Gay! The very next day, the crew showed up promptly & on time to install our new unit. They were very respectful & friendly even to our dog Max. Alexis, their lead, explained what he, Hermivier & Javier would be doing that day which was to remove our 30 year old A/C unit & replace it with a brand new unit. It was a job that should take roughly 5 hours or so, provided there were no issues. They worked quietly & steady & things seemed fine. But then there was an issue. See, our A/C unit was old! And our house was the actual sales unit from which the houses in this community were sold from 30 years ago…so there was unusual upgrades & setups which were made back then. As a result, many of the elements in our home have become out of date, out of stock & very difficult if not impossible to replace. In order to complete the job, the crew needed a specific part which they didn’t usually carry. But the crew didn’t just quit & go home after 5 hours of work. They didn’t leave us in the heat! They reached out to their supervisor, Mr. LaQuann, who was far away & he located the missing part needed, drove far to pick it up & delivered it to my house asap. What should’ve took the crew 5 hours would take them double that time to complete…but they didn’t give up. They made it happen for us & they got the job done well into the evening! LaQuann even brought a bucket of KFC for them & we were delighted to see how he cared for his crew! My husband & I felt so bad for them because we know that their day was long & hot as they continued to work to complete the installation of the new A/C unit. They didn’t complain or tell us they were gonna come back tomorrow to complete the job & for that we were so grateful. My husband is battling cancer & having no A/C really affected him adversely. So when we could feel the cool air begin to flow again that evening, we were overjoyed & truly grateful that this crew didn’t give up but the stood the course & finished the job for us! Around 9pm or so, they were done. Hermivier was the last to leave & when we saw him start to sweep up the area where they were working, my husband told him it wasn’t necessary & that we could finish sweeping. We knew he had a long day & we told him that he could go home but he wouldn’t leave until the job was 100% complete! He swept up the entire area making sure it was spotless.
