UPDATE: We had another ac issue, this time right before an event in our home with 30 people. Gregory had us back up and cooling just in time. No fuss, just great people willing to help with reasonable prices and terrific service. This company is the best!! Won't use anyone else!! These folks not only do their job with professionalism and intelligence, they do it with compassion, courtesy and integrity! When I called them after being strung along and treated horribly by another company, they showed right up the next day. The ordered parts and were back to get us taken care of. They even came back twice in the same day when another part was needed. Every single person, from the folks who came to our home, to the folks in the office, were intelligent, honest and caring. They told us what was going on and did what they said they'd do. Integrity is everything! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Oh my GOSH! The blower motor in our downstairs unit had been acting up and then OF COURSE with family from up north getting ready to walk through the door it just QUITS. From 75 degrees to 82 in two hours and we were dead. I called and Paula said they were booked solid until lunchtime the next day and I said OK and we were going to figure a new sleeping arrangement out for our guests. 45 minutes later we get a call that Munson Tech Jason can be on the way if that would work and I screamed YES!!!!! It ended up being a failed relay inside the motor so he had a replacement on board and put it in. We were back up and running and the Radcliffe family was SUPER grateful. Glad we used Munson- but we ALWAYS are!! They have been our A/C people since 1996.
I was in town for a limited time and really needed my AC checked on short notice and it was Thanksgiving week. I saw a lot of HVAC people, but Gary Munson looked like a local operation who could handle my request. They did not disappoint. From the lady who scheduled me to the technician, they were so polite and helpful. In fact, we missed our first appointment in the morning when we did not hear the doorbell. They did their best to work us back in later that day. I did not expect them to do that, but they did. Gary Munson is now my HVAC guy in Central Florida. I will use them for all my properties. Five start service and they didn't take my last dime:)
A great experience!! I called in the morning and was given a time slot, which Frank showed up on time for my appointment. Gave me the diagnostic information quickly!! And I had to leave to go back to work. (not to mention that I left him alone in my home and he was extremely trustworthy) Communication was fantastic! It was still warm in the house when I got home from work… called and left a voice message to get someone after hours on a Friday night and Gary Munson, the owner called me back an hour later. Was very kind and gave me some advice on what to do. My AC is working great now! And absolutely I will use him again!!
Been using Gary and Munson since we opened an Orlando office and it was the best choice! They make it easy to understand what services they are doing and always do it efficiently. Gary Munson HVAC installed a new A/C unit in my condo in 2017. I chose them b/c they had very competitive pricing and were easy to speak with by phone. During the install they included installation of a full system air purifier that I purchased separately. Now that my unit is mid-life at 8 years old, I switched from annual maintenance to their MVP Plan that has inspections every 6 months plus service guarantees. They've had the same admin gals on the phone for many years that know their business. Gary is professional, flexible and follows thru to have his techs complete the job properly.
We've been using Gary Munson Heating & Air for over a year now. We have an annual maintenance program with them for our two heating and air units. We've had two visits from them over the last year. Jason, the tech that came to service the units this time around, was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional and did a great job, as did the previous tech a year ago. They will be returning again this coming spring for another maintenance check on both our systems. I would highly recommend this company for your heating and A/C needs.

I'm using Gary Munson AC service for 4 properties now for a few years. They are very honest and don't tell you that your AC must be replaced soon. One AC unit is 18 years old and Chandler told me that it is still in good condition and doesn't need to be replaced. I had a different AC service company before a few years ago and they told me it needs to be replaces urgently because it will die soon. From start to finish, they were exceptional to work with – responsive, professional, and efficient. This company is awesome!! We have used them to install two split units in our garage and more recently to service an air conditioning unit which they did not install that has had problems since the beginning. They changed the angle of the drain line which should help immensely with some of the problems we’ve been having. Such a simple fix that no one else has been able to solve. Every employee has been professional and kind. Such a rare thing these days. We will definitely keep using them!
After losing our a/c unit, we contacted Gary Munson about getting an evaluation and repair done on our unit. He contacted us on the weekend and provided information that may have allowed our unit to reboot. Though unsuccessful, the office staff contacted us the following Monday, and was able to schedule a technician to come out and do an onsite inspection. He was prompt, knowledgeable and courteous, and had our unit repaired before lunchtime. Thank you to the Munson team!
Always great service and they always get to me as soon as possible, as I own a Hair Salon and it’s not easy doing hair when we need air-conditioning. Every technician that has ever came to my business as been very professional!!!!! During the COVID shut down I had them move my filters to the inside of the salon instead of the roof top and that has been a godsend for sure. We can change the filters every 3/4 wks easily. This is the third time I've used Gary Munson for a new AC (different houses) over a 12 year span. Every time they are wonderful to work with. Top quality Trane systems, and installation crews who are friendly, knowledgeable, and take pride in their work. Bobby and Jeff did a replacement of my 30+ year old HVAC. They were here early, did an awesome job of tearing out the old unit and installing new without a scratch to my home. They were kind and gave me some tips after install. Cleaned up after themselves and made sure everything worked before they left. The whole process from my initial call to payment was seamless. Highly recommend this company and will definitely use them in the future!

This is the best experience I've ever had with a local company. Will and installers were so professional and helpful. My old AC went out on Thursday and Friday afternoon I had a new mini split system installed. We should have done this years ago if I'd only known Gary Munson services. I had the misfortune of my AC not working late on a Friday night. Called first thing in the morning and received a call back within minutes. The tech came out a few hours later. The part they needed was under warranty so I had to wait until Monday for them to get the part. However, they brought over a portable AC unit that was perfect for the bedroom - keep things nice & cool until my ac could be repaired. 10/10
Jason was amazing! I was so stressed dealing with a lot of bad things happening at once. Another company came out and fixed the thermostat and two days later it was 92 inside again. That company said I needed a new unit. Instead, Jason came out the next morning and did a complete inspection and had it fixed in an hour. I had so much more confidence in how Jason broke things down and explained things.
This company is wonderful. They installed a new air conditioning system in my home yesterday and I can’t believe the efficiency in which they did so! They were prompt, wasted no time in completing the job! Most efficient crew I have seen in decades. I would highly recommend this company and they will be my go to organization for all my future needs. Professional, efficient, just the best.
We have used Gary Munson Heating & Air Conditioning for a few years now and have always been pleased with their work. This morning, we noticed that our A/C was not blowing cold air. I called 3 other AC places that just seemed off or trying to hard sell me a system. I called Gary Munson for a quote as I had heard they are trustworthy. Gary himself showed up and gave me solutions no other company even bothered to mention. Like add extra return, non ducted, keep my portable AC. Very trustworthy company like I had heard and I'm glad I called them.

For years, I have used Gary Munson’s heating and air conditioning service for everything HVAC. Their service professionals have always been prompt, professional, and have always gone above and beyond. While I’d rather not lose my air-conditioning system, when it does go out, I’m not worried because I know Gary’s company will be able to fix it quickly.
I was pleased with the great job Gary Munson’s technician did in replacing a thermostat for my Uncle’s partner. He worked quickly and had it changed out in no time at all. The new thermostat works great! I would recommend Gary Munson to anyone who needs any heat/AC work done. They have been doing our A/C/Heat issues for years. I trust this company.
5 minutes! That’s how long it took to find the reason my AC had been making noise for 3 years… two other AC guys said it was “normal”, charged me $100 and made me feel like I was crazy. It’s not normal to have a giant piece of insulation floating around your air handler. Enjoying the peace and quiet now! Very professional and great service.
Worst Reviews
At the end of June, our AC went out. We called, no answered but left a message. Mr. Munson himself called back within ten minutes and got us scheduled same day. Tech came out, detected and fixed a leak. We were charged for labor and freon. Thinking AC is fixed as we were not told anything else was wrong, this was the only solution offered, we were thankful. Three days later AC goes out again, called several times, no answer, left a message, no call back. Called again the next day, were told they were busy but would try to fit us in. Tech came out, found "an additional leak", fixed it but let me know the coil needed to be replaced. They were going to order it, almost two weeks later they call me and let me know they did not order the coil yet but will. In those two weeks AC went out again. Called a different company, they came out, found another leak, fixed it, I asked about the coil, said I did not need a new one. AC has been working fine since then. So essentially, paid double the price for it to work. The Munson AC company was told all of this, I was told they would get back with me, and have yet to hear from them for another two weeks. Heard back from them, they issued a partial refund. With more customer communication, our experience could have been more positive.
I used them in the past many times, however all the times they came out they just gave me options that never worked. They finally said I need a new air conditioner. The amount they were going to charge me was astronomical. I went with another heating & cooling company that gave me a better air condition unit at a better price and was able to install it faster. Because I went with another company, Gary charged me for a portable unit after he found out I decided on another company. I had used them so many other times and feel like he was just pissed that he lost the sale. I tried to talk to him about the incident and he would not pick up the phone or talk with me. I guess if forgot about the bill, and I never received a bill in the mail and he sent me to collections. This was the first time in my life that I ever had to deal with a collection agency. I spent a lot of money with them prior to this incident and the fact that he charged me for the portable after the fact and never mentioned there was a cost for the portable was absolutely wrong. If i never spent a penny with him, i would get it, but I was a good customer who happened to get a better quote somewhere else. He is a sore loser.
I used this company for long time, and my review will help you if you want to use their service. I replaced a new condenser for my walk-in cooler 5 years ago and now the temperature was too high over 60, so I called them to fix it. They told me I have to replace a new condenser, I asked for the warranty, after 4 days I received a new quote to replace a new one , over 5k, because no warranty????and I ask same question if I agree to replace, they told me 1 year, so if it happens again after 1 year I will have to replace a new one. Their reason is from the vendor. If you want to use their service let ready 5k each year because you will waste your time to ask them because every issue they will tell you because their vendor, Idon't know who's their vendor, and they forgot I paid everything for them and they provided the condenser.I also contacted some contractors and I knew the condenser last for 10 years and most warranty 5 year. Anyway, just my experience and wanna share, as a business owner I cannot deal with an unresponsibility company like this. I also will let the flower shop owners who I recommended this company before about my issue and their solution
Osmond was great! He was very thorough and explained all of the issues with our A/C system. Thank you!! Unfortunately, after a week of this earlier review, the A/C failed to cool the room. We had Gary Munson "cooling pros" come out several more times to try and fix the system. No one knew how to fix it. After several tries and several hundreds of dollars later, we still do not have a working a/c unit in our bedroom. The options we got were to either keep pouring money into the unit to see if they could find the problem and fix it or pay $3k for a new unit. (Our unit is three years old). After trying to speak directly with Gary or anyone who knew what they were doing, we threw our hands up and said we would just get the new unit. We have called several times to actually schedule and pay for a new unit and each time the person says they have to get with Gary and they would call me back. I NEVER get a call back. What kind of company doesn't want to install a new unit for $3k? We have now moved on to another company. Good Luck to anyone who chooses to use Gary Munson.
Make an appointment at a doctor. After that, make sure you no call no show. Then, make sure you wonder why they charge you money for not showing up. Can I charge Gary Munson for personally calling me and telling me when he will be here and not show? Gary you owe me 87.00 that is my no call no show fee. On a serious note, thanks for the excellent customer service. It was so good, so good that in fact I am still waiting for it. I have had three other quotes since you have promised to be here( it was infact the owner who confirmed to be here). A business owner should be chasing quotes and business.. considering I need a total of 3 full units replaced you would think Gary would love the business. I assume all the good reviews come from actual installs, which I have hear is done well, kind of. That is if you ignore the reviews that say they did not pull permits. Thanks for helping me choose another company Gary.
Never delivered warranty/rebate info for new AC. Hasn't returned a phone call since they got paid a month ago. Update: They installed the air handler pitched AWAY from the drain line so all the water going into the drip pan was spilling over the other side, soaking the bottom of the air handler, and either dripping out of it, or soaking into the ducts then dripping onto my ceiling causing damage. They had 4 "professionals" in my attic for this install, and were called to service it 3 times when the water filling up the secondary drip pan shut off the AC. They also failed to connect a drain to the secondary drip pan, and didn't put enough gas in the system. They're either completely incompetent, or sabotaging systems to create service call revenue. Either way, stay away from these clowns.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. In my 40 years of dealing with contractors, Gary Munson is by far the worst I've ever seen. They totally botched the installation of a replacement HVAC for our house. They never pulled a permit for the job until I forced the issue after finding dangerous mistakes in their installation. Then they couldn't even pass inspection until 14+ weeks after I first brought their deficiencies to their attention, having failed the 1st inspection. All the while I had to waste hours upon hours of my own time to push them forward every step of the way. Truly pathetic.
Beware. These folks do not pull permits for their work which is illegal. Had a fire in my home. Made a claim to insurance company and one of the things that were destroyed was the AC. I got it installed and paid, but Gary Munson AC never pulled the required permits for the job. This is illegal. If I do not have permits pulled I will be contacting my attorney.
I have been a customer for 5+ years. I've purchased their annual A/C service agreement. A couple of months ago I received an e-mail informing me that a new process was in place for making appointments. I provided the required information of dates and times covering a three week period. My third choice was selected but it was not confirmed -- rather it was pending. Today was the date for service. The service window was 8:00am to 12:00 Noon. At 10:15am I phoned the office and was told I was the next on the list. At 12:05pm I called the office to cancel my service call. When I went into detail about my dissatisfaction -- namely, their lack of punctuality -- I got excuses. Any apologies? NOPE!! Any concern of potentionally losing a valued customer? NOPE, again!! CONCLUSION: I look forward to taking my business elsewhere.
I have used this company for many years and have always been delighted with their service. I have recommended them to friends and neighbors. HOWEVER--there has been a recent change in leadership in the past year and unfortunately the son is NOT the professional that the father has always been. They over-promised and under-delivered on a huge job--leaving a total mess behind them. They had no regard for how things looked when they were done. I can't even get into my attic any more because they put ducts, boxes, and wires right in the entry. Yes, it all works, so I don't give it 0 stars, but there are many companies that can install HVAC without the drama of Gary Munson Heating and AC Services.
over priced, the technician was incompetent and after being unable to fix a light switch and only being there for an hour proceeded to charge my mother over $600, with a vague invoice that didn't explain any of the "work" done. Basically they scammed a sweet elderly woman out of hundreds and she will still need to hire someone else. Terrible customer service, and while I admit I don't know anything about electric work, the nearly $700 price for work that wasn't even successful seems above and beyond. it felt scammy and unprofessional, predatory even. I would not recommend this company
Unfortunately after over 20 years off & on of using Gary Munson Heating & Air-conditioning - I can never use them again after the inappropriate and extremely unprofessional service tech that we had come to do our home service. Definitely sad to see our service industries suffering with such terrible staff nowadays!
Terrible company! They told me a part was covered by warranty and would only charge me for labor. After 1 month they "told" me it turns out the part was not under warranty and they billed me an additional $5,000. Do NOT trust this company.

After another HVAC company botched the job we called the guys at Gary Munson and they saved the day. They were able to help us over the phone with a few pic and dispatched two of the most professional HVAC guys I've worked with. I've work in the construction industry and I've seen a lot of unprofessionalism in the trades. They got to our home at the time promised. They even text that they were early and wanted to know if they could come in earlier or wait. They worked through lunch and dinner and didn't pack up until the job was done. They even cleaned up after themselves, which again, not a lot of trades do (look at you electricians). Since this ended up being an insurance job I had to price with multiple companies the were NOT the cheapest $500 more than DelAir but $1500 less than Frank Gay and about $900 cheaper than the from the local/small guy HVAC company. I would definitely use them again. I would recommend them to my mom, friends or anyone who needs the job done on time and done right.
