I hired Max at Golden Coast to repair a flat section of the roof of my 1-story home. I've had many issues in the past with this section after several attempts to implement partial fixes to save money. Max recommended that I remove the section and completely re-do it properly. He was honest and fair and explained to me several options that I could choose from. I opted to completely redo the section and boy am I glad I did. His crew was very professional and did a great job. They went above and beyond and did not cheap our or get lazy at all. They did a fantastic job. They offered a 2 year warranty and I trust that Max would help out even after that period if it is obviously due to a problem with their work. I highly recommend this company.

Putting on a new roof seems like an easy decision but it's not! There's so much to think of as far as shingles,color,look,price etc! I got 5 bids and they were from $21k-$40k crazy to see such a difference in price when they were all doing the same job! I decided to go with Golden Coast as they answered all my questions thoroughly and price was great! Max who i think is the owner was easy to deal with and a pleasure to do business with,my roof looks amazing! Roof was installed a few days ago and I've already had 2 people knock on my door and ask who did it! Go with Golden coast you will not be disappointed. Golden Coast Roofing deserves a 5 star rating. Max, Jose and their crews did a great job installing my new roof.. they finished the job as promised. They are very professional, cleaned the outside of my house every single day they were here. It rained one day out of the 4 days and they covered the entire roof to make sure no water leakage. I am extremely happy and would recommend their services to my family and friends. You will not go wrong using their services. I chose this company because I can tell that Max is a very honest person and completed all the work he said he would do.

Few days later Mr. Levi mailed me a contract to review and sign. They started to do their job right after we got city’s permit. After one week I had a new roof. If anyone has roofing issues. We are very happy with our new roof. Even though we would have gone with another black roof, they recommended (for longer life) on any other colour shingle. We decided on the Estate Grey and I must admit, it looks better with the colour of the house and trim. The crew were on time, worked diligently and cleaned up well upon completion. They were able to manage and fix the unforeseen issues that were discovered under the old roof quickly and professionally.

I'm super late in posting this, but I have nothing but high praise for Max (owner) and this company. After the heavy rains in LA back in December/January, I contacted several roofing companies and received multiple bids. Without a doubt, Golden Coast was the most prompt, professional, and reliable in all aspects of the process. On the same day I contacted him, Max personally came to the house to inspect my old roof and gave me his recommendation in an honest and straightforward manner. From our very first conversation, I found him to be highly knowledgeable, meticulous in his work, and genuinely interested in providing top-notch service to his clients. After the completion of the project, he came by the house again to meet me in person, answer my follow-up questions, and make sure I was left satisfied. Following the recent tropical storm (Hilary) that hit LA, I discovered a small leak in one of my windows. My initial guess was that it could be coming from the roof, so I contacted Max again (on a Sunday). He answered right away and sent his crew on the following day to check things out. After a thorough inspection, the crew was able to determine that everything was properly sealed, so we were able to rule out the roof as the reason for the window leak. I wanted to share this last tidbit as a testament to Max's integrity and responsiveness to a former client. Most companies tend to forget their clients once they've finished the job and collected their payment, but Max is clearly different. I'm so glad I found Golden Coast and will have no hesitation in referring them to friends/family members who may need roofing services. Golden Coast Roofing replaced the flat roof on my industrial building in Sun Valley, CA. The building had 2 layers of old torch-down and hot-mop. The project was a complete tear-off, with a new Polyfresko torch-down cap sheet over its Elastoflex underlayment. I am very happy with choosing this company, after meeting with several good roofing contractors and considering other roofing materials. Golden Coast specializes in Polyfresko for flat roofs, and their crew is very experienced with this material system. The final "cool roof" looks very bright white. The roof is cleaner too, since the project included removing many old roof penetrations no longer needed. I had previously cut these pipes and vents below the roof, so they could be pulled straight up and out during the tear-off. The project was quoted and coordinated mostly by Levi, who is a good communicator and willing to hear and address any concerns. The owner Max visited several times, including a walk-through before starting work. I was reassured that minor cost variations would not result in (annoying) extra charges for plywood, rafters, hangers, sheet metal, etc. The crew of workers were dedicated and hard-working, under the steady and experienced supervision of foreman Jose. They worked well together, and completed the job on schedule: 2 weeks overall, including inspections. I highly recommend this company for any industrial or commercial roofing project.

Purchased our home 24 years ago and have no idea when the existing shingle roof was last replaced....however although we survived last years storms unscathed i wanted to replace our ageing shingle roof now Approached 3 companies for quotes and the first one was the cheapest but turned up without a ladder and wanted to borrow one from me !!!!....also their quote had provision for many extra's once they started the work...seemed very bait and switch to me. Yogi , from Golden Coast was entirely different, ( he had 2 ladders and a drone with him) .He took his time to fully examine the roof, explained my options, made sensible proposals and took his time to not only answer my questions but also guaranteed his price with no extra's......I had found my roofer and when the 3rd company called to change their appointment i knew i had made the right decision The roofing crew were on time, worked hard, cleaned up each night and completed the entire project within the agreed timeframe.....Yogi was on site each day , to check the progress and explain to me what was happening and why.......I could ask for nothing more Consider this, I was happy to pay the agreed cost, with no alterations and this has not been my previous experiences with Ca contractors. We had a full roof replacement done by Golden Coast Roofing. They gave me one of lowest estimates and followed up consistently. Eddie was my point of contact and was very patient with me while I took my time to collect other estimates and crunch numbers. Eddie was the only person who took his time to inspect my roof, show me photos, and explain to me the process of roof replacement and show me physical material samples of what his company uses. My roof was completed within the time frame they initially promised and made sure my roof was finished before the forecasted rain came. The crew was fast and efficient and cleaned up after themselves each day they were here - which seems like a given but I've experienced crews who just leave the house/property a mess after they're done for the day. My only complaint would be lack of communication when it comes to scheduling-- and this was not Eddie's fault, he's just the messenger. I didn't know if we were still on schedule or when the workers were coming and I had to constantly inquire about what was going on. Overall, the roof looks beautiful, and I don't have leaks so far. I trust their quality, warranty and integrity. I would definitely use them again.

We got a new roof in September. The work included a new skylight, some replacement of damaged wood, and of course, replacement of roofing. We had a few estimates since this was a big job, and their price was in line with the work that we needed and what we expected to pay. The roof looks great and the on site team was always nice, did great work, and cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day. The owner, Max, made sure to address any concerns that came up. Mayan, in the office, was helpful when I needed paperwork and clarification about warranty information. Eddie, our project manager, was on site now and then to make sure everything was going well and city inspections were completed. The company gave us a 10 year warranty on workmanship/labor, a 30 year warranty on all the roofing materials, and a 30 year warranty on the skylight they provided and installed. Hopefully we will never need to use these, but it does provide peace of mind. I will write an update to this review in case we need their warranty assistance. If you are looking for a roofer, definitely reach out and give them a chance!

We recently hired Golden Coast Roofing to redo our roof. It was a rather large job, as our house has both a flat roof and a tile roof. We got quotes from plenty of roofers but chose to go with Golden Coast, and I'm very glad we did. Eddie who quoted our job was great to deal with: straightforward and knowledgeable. The quote was fair and included everything, with no room for unexpected surprises. The job itself went well. There were a few short delays and hiccups, both in starting and during- but that is par for the course with construction jobs. The crew was great. They worked fast and cleaned up every day. Daniel, the project manager was thorough and easy to communicate with. Him and Eddie dealt with all the permits and city inspections flawlessly. Max, the business owner was also always available for questions and concerns. I've dealt with quite a lot of contractors over the years, and Golden Coast was definitely one of the best. The finished project looks wonderful. It's nice to be going into the rainy season with a new roof.

I have been meaning to write a review for some time, but life's challenges always seemed to get in the way. We hired Golden Coast Roofing to completely replace our existing tile roof with new tiles. One roofer that I interviewed said it would take four to six weeks. Golden Coast completed the job in six days. They turned up every day with an "army" of experienced workers and completed the project on time and within their estimate. Moreover, they trucked away the debris every day, eliminating the need for a dumpster in our driveway. Once the job was completed they did not disappear. We have a skylight over our stairway that blew from its moorings because of the recent gale force wind gusts. As soon as I discovered what had happened, I sent a text to our contact, Osh, and despite all of the chaos created by the wildfires, he had someone at our house the following morning to make sure that the skylight was bolted in place. Replacing the roof was expensive, but in this case I believe that the value we received far exceeded the cost.

A tree fell on on our roof a few months ago and I called Golden Coast roofing to set up a time to repair the hole that the tree left in the roof. Eddie responded right away and came over to put an estimate down and assess the damage. The price was an unbelievable value for the service they provided and a week later they came to fix the roof right before tropical storm Hilary hit. Eddie and George came in the morning to start fixing it, and George fixed the entire roof within hours well before I thought they would be able to finish. When the storm hit on Sunday, we were afraid that some water would leak but nothing happened at all in the slightest. Golden coast did an exceptional job fixing the roof for an unbelievable price. I will definitely be calling these guys again in the future whenever there is an issue with our roof again. Would highly recommend this place if you live in the San Fernando Valley for any roof issues. They were courteous, exceptional, with their work, and very prompt with their responses. 10/10

Because there had been a leak in my 33 year old roof, it was time to replace it. I called Golden State Roofing and Eddie came out to my house, giving me a very reasonable estimate on the spot (Another company's representative had come over, but NEVER sent me an estimate. Ghosted me). The crew was able to begin the work during the week that I had requested. Access to my roof is difficult since I have a two story house and it's on a hillside, but the crew of roofers did a great job. Eddie kept in touch throughout, took photos, and communicated with the city inspector to make sure everything was in compliance once all the shingles had been removed. After everything was completed, head project manager Daniel also came over, took photos with his drone, and showed the city inspector the finished roof. The roof looks great. 2/9/22 - After a strong winter storm, my roof started leaking. I called several places right away who came to scope the job. Several companies gave a price, but never followed up with a proper quote, and some simply disappeared. Eventually, I settled on another company to repair the roof, but they kept giving me the runaround. After 4 weeks of waiting, I called Golden Coast Roofing. John came out a day later, went on the roof, and showed me via pictures exactly what was needed. He quickly followed up with a formal quote, and they used electronic signatures which was amazing! They performed the work right away and finished within only a few hours as they brought a team of 5 to quickly complete the job. The professional nature, constant communication, and use of electronic technology made this a very easy, pleasant and professional experience.

Golden Coast Roofing just finished replacing the entire back half of our roof which has both sloped and flat portions. Eddie came out to inspect my roof for the initial bid and also went up into the attic to help figure out exactly where the leak issues were. He showed me photos from his findings in the attic, explained what was necessary and showed me physical material samples of what the company uses. My roof was completed within the time frame promised and the crew was fast and efficient. They cleaned up after themselves after each of the days that they were here. Eddie was the project manager and was a pleasure to deal with throughout the process. Great experience and would definitely use again in the future.

We had a few leaks in our roof that were noticed after the heavy rains earlier this year. I received a few quotes to repair the affected areas that were high compared to Golden Coast Roofing and some wouldn't even come out unless it was for a complete new roof. The communication with the others was also not existent. But Levi, the project manager, and Golden Coast Roofing had great communication. Levi was very honest and didn't try to sell us a new roof or all new underlayment which was much appreciated. He took before pictures of all the areas that needed repair and supplied pictures during and after the repair to show the work was completed. I would definitely recommend Golden Coast Roofing.

I could not have been happier! I was responded to immediately, had my quote the same day. The quote was reasonable and I was not told that I needed a whole new roof the way others did. My expectations on the day of repair were exceeded. They arrived on time, brought a dumpster, and were finished and gone, with the dumpster, before I knew it. And the job was great. I even called to ask if they could come out because someone working on my house saw something wrong on the roof and they came out the same day, just to inspect. And of course nothing was wrong. Finding that level of service is rare and I'm thrilled to have found them! I would highly recommend their services!

As a resident of Southern California my heart goes out to all those affected by the fires. The winds that accompanied the fires messed up the roof of my garage. While our damage pales in comparison to what so many experienced it was important to us to get the roof replaced before the rainy season. We got a few quotes and thankfully Golden's was the best. I say "thankfully" because Levi from Golden was by far the best rep to show up. He was kind, sympathetic, transparent, communicative and professional. I cannot say enough about the great job Golden Coast did on our new roof here in Valley Glen. From start to finish, Levi and his crew were top notch, gave us the best price (after several quotes received from other roofers), worked in coordination with our HVAC company on our rooftop AC unit and made sure all was done to our satisfaction before wrapping up. All necessary subroof wood replacement was included, no ticky-tack, nickel and dime fees. They even installed a couple of unplanned solar tubes late in the process upon our request. Levi and his crew did a great job on my grandmothers home. I researched this company via yelp and other online sources. Levi quoted a fair price and after the project was done, there were no extra fees attached. Levi kept me updated with the progress everyday which was refreshing and great. Levi had a great attitude and was most helpful in explaining the process to my elderly grandmother each step of the way. Her property was left clean and pristine each day, so she didn't have to worry about dust, nails and trash piles. I am grateful for Levi and his team on completing this project in good timing.

the job we had done was a partial roof repair/replacement. We got several quotes to compare and the quote we got from Eddie at Golden Coast was the first reasonable quote we received. while we got other quotes in the same range and even lower, the material samples Eddie showed me were superior to what the other roofers were using and Golden Coast was the only one who actually went up on the roof, took measurements and showed me photos of what needed to be repaired. They were great to work with--the crew was super professional and they worked fast and even cleaned up all the fallen debris afterwards.

Your best bet would be Max at Golden Coast. The company works smoothly with the city permit and materials arriving at just the right time. There will be some roof planks with water damage and the city wants before and after photos of the bare wood after stripping everything off. Golden Coast gives some plank length for free but is upfront about additional per length charge for beyond this credit. When it was time for our roof to be replaced we got a crew of six people that came demolished the whole roof in one day past inspection and put on the whole new roof in about 2 days. Finally found an honest roofer! After dealing with contractors who either cut corners or add $$$ when they see your house, Max at Golden Coast was a breath of fresh air. Actually recommended a cheaper solution than others and delivered amazing quality. Been through plenty of roofing companies - some honest but sketchy work, others great but price gouge.
