The initial inspection was performed by Arcenio Leon, and he explained to me by drawing diagrams what was wrong with our roof, and why getting localized repairs to address the leak in our roof will not solve our problem. He looked me straight in the eye and said "we are good honest guys, and we will take care of your roof." Now that the work is complete, I am incredibly glad we decided to go ahead with Leon Brothers. They replaced all the pipe jacks, box vents, turbine vents and one furnace flue vent with new ones, removed the Direct TV antenna and installed a new solar attic fan free of labor. They are operationally flexible since they were able to accommodate some of my requests which I made on the fly such as replacing our fixed Velux skylights with Velux vented skylights, once again without charging me a dime for labor. I know this because the requests for installation of attic fan and skylights were made after I signed the quote. Their office manager, Alex, has been very patient from the time the first quote was sent to the day the roof installation was approved by the county inspector. I would not hesitate to use their services again. In fact, I may not even bother asking for quotes from other companies.

Leon Brothers Roofing was the only company out of three others that gave me a quick (2 days) turn around time to get a roofing estimate. Of the other two, one took a week while the other one took 2 weeks just to obtain an estimate. I noticed too that Leon Brothers used the same quality materials touted by the two other roofers, however, each of the other two roofers quoted thousands of dollars more than Leon Roofers. All three of the roofing companies had stellar yelp reviews (mostly 5 stars). Yet, it seemed that Leon Brother's quote was more in line with what seemed reasonable and more than fair for a 1200 sq ft house plus a detached garage roof. What really sealed the deal for us was how easy it was to get all our answers and concerns addressed by Arcenio, one of the Owners. We felt an immediate comfort and trust with Leon Brothers. They committed to completing the job in a 2 day period and had a team of workers from start to finish and did a beautiful job. We've gotten many compliments from neighbors on not only the job they did but also how clean they left the job site each day. So efficient. My roof was leaking and after receiving quotes from other roofing companies, I went with Leon Brothers. He was highly recommended from a realtor. But more importantly when he came to give me a quote he actually climbed on a ladder and walked around on the roof. Why this might not seem like a big deal - all the other estimators used a drone to look at my roof to give me a quote. Given that my building is three stories tall I can understand why a drone might be more efficient. When I told Leon that he was the first to do this, he said "I am a roofer, the other people are sales people for roofing companies." So true. The fact that he had a ladder on his truck long enough to reach my roof was impressive. Plus by walking directly on the roof he was able to notice details that the drone did not pick up. Eventually another roofer did come with a ladder (I have lots of estimates) and although Leon's quote was a little higher I went with him.So glad I did. Very thorough job, his crew was excellent. Arsenio and his brother where the only roofers interested in a small job I had a few years ago. All the big companies wouldn't fit us into their schedules. Leon Brothers cut a hole in the roof for our new stove fan vent, and did a perfect job, cleaning our gutters too for no extra charge. Then, about a month ago some very friendly and clever guys came and tried to convince us we needed a new roof. We didn't pay them anything, but that night I became concerned and called Arsenio. He came right way, in the dark, and climbed up to examine our roof. He told us everything was fine, and no new shingles or anything were needed. I am so glad I called him. He would not accept any payment for this visit. His crew came and replaced the shingles the scammers had torn off for a very reasonable amount. I will never use anyone else for my roof needs. I have been waiting 3 months to write this review after a more substantial rain came. We had a new roof put in a couple of years ago by another roofing company. A leak developed immediately after the new roof was put in and it was persistent for at least a year or longer. It was horrible. Our floor was damaged badly in 2 rooms. They ghosted me for almost an entire year after the new roof was first put in. Later on, they came back one time to take a look, said there was nothing wrong with the roof, and that it wasn't their problem anymore. I called Arcenio and he came right away to take a look. He successfully figured out what the problem was (a drain) and fixed the leak that had been bothering us for over a year. I saw how much time and effort he put into his work when he was here, and I am just so glad that we finally found someone that we can trust and can call in the future. If you want honesty and someone you can depend on, this company is it.

My porch roof needed to be replaced, and the related gutters needed to be adjusted. Leon Brothers' quote was not the lowest, but I went forward with them because the quote was clear, and covered everything (whereas a lower quote had more variables, and could have ended up costing me significantly more). After providing me a quote, they told me that they thought they'd get around to me sometime in March; ended up being only about 10 days after the quote (late January). They messaged me a few days beforehand to check if the date was ok, and I gave them the green light. It was a one day project. When they left, there was no sign they had been there working all day; the clean-up was top notch. As for their work, well the roof looks new and improved, and there is no sign of leaks after a few days of heavy rain. The gutters now are also working as they should. I am definitely satisfied with the end product.

I hired Leon Brothers to install skylights in my home and they were excellent. They came right away and provided me with an estimate and were on schedule.The work performed was stellar. They made a minor mistake on an interior wood trim that we had from our previous Skylight and they returned to fix it. I suggested simply adding a 1" trim piece over the existing trim to cover the mistake but they insisted on removing the existing trim for both skylights in the room and replaced both with new wood trim, then stained it to match. This was well above and beyond what was needed and they spent hours making sure it was just right. Also, while on my roof, they noticed a loose exterior trim piece and they repaired it. They also replaced some worn flashing from the old Skylight and did not charge extra for any of this additional work. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this level of service.

This review is premature because Leon Brothers haven't yet performed any repair work but I've been so impressed with the quality of the customer service that I'm leaving a review (only my second Yelp review ever!). We thought we had a leaky roof because we saw water running down one of our walls after the recent storms. I emailed Leon Brothers on Saturday, Arcenio responded on Sunday and inspected the roof on Monday. Turns out the roof is likely fine and we have an uncovered pipe. Of his own accord, today Arcenio sent me examples of pipe covers which he thought would solve our problem. If we ever do have an actual leak in our roof, Leon Brothers will be the first roofers that I call.

For my 15 year old concrete tile roof, I had to get a partial repair (repaper and relay tiles) and added several vents. Leon Brothers Roofing are the best! I dreaded the roof replacement, but the whole process was really smooth: everybody I interacted with was extremely professional, the estimate was free and true, they explained everything really clearly, were always on time, covered everything inside the house so it would not get dusty, and cleaned up after themselves after each day of work. But most important of all -- they did an amazing job. It's been a month, and it feels like a miracle that the house is not hot during heat waves (before the roof with new insulation was installed, it was unbearable inside during hot days). And it looks great -- the neighbors have been commenting.

Joining the chorus of people helped by this company during the great New Years Eve deluge of 2022/23. Our in-law cottage began leaking (along with our basement and the yard flooding). Of all the calls I had to make in the past 24 hours, Leon Bros was by far the most helpful. He responded to me on a holiday, including scheduling with me at 10:30 PM on NYE. He came out this morning, on New Years day, and I am pretty sure we were one of at least 10 customers he helped today. He went above and beyond to do everything he could to shore up the roof to get us through the next two weeks of incoming rain. We're extremely grateful for their help, and honest work.

We had an awesome experience working with Leon Brothers roofing. We got a few quotes on adding intake ventilation and a solar exhaust fan to our attic space so it didn't get so crazy hot up there. Leon Brothers came out in a timely manner, and gave us a very reasonably priced quote. We had also heard from our neighbor across the street that Leon Brothers had done a great job on their new roof, so we were sold. They completed the ventilation and solar fan installation in the time they said they would, and stuck to their estimate, and were very pleasant to work with. Arcenio is a true life-saver. My husband and I woke up to find water dripping through our kitchen fixtures during a major atmospheric river storm. We had little hope that we could get help on a Saturday, let alone during a holiday weekend in torrential rain, however, Arcenio answered on the first ring and came out within hours. I have water intrusion evidenced by water staining on the ceilings under the attic vents. Arsenio, one of the owners, came by within hours to inspect. It turns out I have an insulation issue - not a roof issue. Arsenio took the time to clearly explain it to me and took pictures to show me. He told me to call an insulation company with no attempts to upsell me on something I don't need. I truly appreciate his expertise, honesty and integrity. Leon Brothers installed our new roof in fall 2022. Between Christmas 2022 through now, 15 inches of rain have fallen, a once in 50 year event in Berkeley, according to the news. We've seen no signs of leaks, despite the multiple atmospheric rivers that have passed through this winter. Leon Brothers helped us when we were in a pinch trying to schedule a solar project. They did a great job on the roof, worked with our solar company, were reliable, efficient, cleaned up their worksite, and their prices were fair. We also appreciated how willing they were to answer our questions.

We've hired Arcenio and his team to replace two roofs (on two different houses) and both experiences were outstanding. Arcenio and Josue came up with a very creative plan to keep the historic exterior of our current home while significantly improving drainage off a flat-ish roof. The entire crew was efficient, courteous, and did an amazing clean up job each day (including a neat magnetic roller to find stray nails).
