Last July, I decided to go solar before the unfortunate demise of the federal tax credit. The roof on my Corey Neighborhood (San Jose) home was 29 years old, so it only made sense to re-roof prior to the solar install. I had five roofing contractors come by to provide estimates. Only two provided material brochures, and of those only Los Gatos Roofing (LGR) brought actual samples of roof tiles and OSB (manufactured wood) sheathing. Project manager Jon F. was cordial and generous with his time, and explained in detailed yet understandable terms his recommendations as to materials and approach. An engineer, I really appreciated this. Jon emailed an estimate within a day or so. Three of the other contractors provided significantly lower bids, yet after further conversation with Jon and noting that LGR has been in business for some 25 years I felt most comfortable with them and signed up. I needed to schedule the roof project ASAP to expedite the solar project; this resulted in a three-day work schedule hopefully ending on Halloween (Friday) or otherwise into the following week. I was nervous about this as I didn't want debris or equipment on my property while trick-or-treaters were present. Jon assured that everything would be take care of. The work crew consisted of the Ramirez brothers--David, Pedro and Roberto. They were fantastic: everything went like clockwork, yet they made time for questions and even enjoyable conversation. The roof was water-tight at the end of the first day. To my amazement and great appreciation, the job was completed at the end of the second day--Halloween eve, one day early! I walked the property and found no debris other than a couple of nails on the garage floor (where they did not have access). The following weekend I went up on the roof and had a good look. The work was beautiful, nothing out of place or missing. There was no debris and the gutters were spanking clean. During the process, Jon came by several times to make sure everything was in order. He was always available by phone to answer questions and even went into my attic twice to cover and uncover my HVAC equipment to catch debris. I greatly appreciated that Jon stayed with my project throughout. The roof inspection was performed today and not a single issue was found. The solar install and inspection have been scheduled with three weeks to spare. Based on my experience, I highly recommend LGR. You may pay more, but IMO the premium is worth the quality, timeliness and peace of mind.

Los Gatos Roofing did outstanding work changing my roof. Bret Borbons was my contact throughout the project and did great job throughout - starting with giving competitive quote for the project, setting up accurate timeline, communicating promptly and being super responsive, coordinating with the skylight installer on dependencies, and coordinating with attic insulation company for insulation changes. Bret went above and beyond by repainting new stucco on one part of the exhaust area to give more finished look. Los Gatos roofing team was great - the crew arrived sharp around 8am everyday and worked throughout the day, completed the project in time. Gabriel and entire roofing crew was great to work with. Salvador did a good job with installing new gutters. Overall, highly recommend this team.

Exceptional quality, workmanship, and efficient timeliness from the beginning process to the end. Juan, my direct contact with Los Gatos Roofing has my highest appreciation and gratitude for managing the roofing project. His representation of Los Gatos Roofing proved invaluable to me. This project required specific timing and care. The owner of the home has advanced dementia; he was incapable of understanding the concept of a new roof. Los Gatos roofing is extremely responsive especially when the weather is horrible they responded to my cry for help when it was pouring. I can’t say enough about how good of a roofing company they are. Thirty years ago they did the roof on my house and it’s been fabulous all this time with 20 years still remaining. His crew was excellent to work with as well. Each day they picked up after themselves. Everything was really clean at the end of the project that roof came out perfect it was excellent. Working with LG roofing has been great from beginning to the end. Starting with the quoting and follow up process, we’ve never felt „sales-like” push but rather quality responsiveness. After contacting and researching 13 roofing companies, my HOA decided to contract with Los Gatos Roofing to replace our 50 year old tile roofs. This was a very expensive, large scale project of plywood installation, waterproof membrane installation and tile replacement for 48 townhomes in the community. LGR was not the cheapest or most expensive quote we received, but solidly in the middle. We decided to go with LGR because we were impressed with their reviews, their inclusive quote and their long history in the San Jose area. We also really appreciated the time that Craig and Randy took to educate our board of directors regarding the details of the job before we even signed a contract. Our project manager was Craig Gonzales. He followed the job from start to finish. He was usually on site twice a day and kept us in the loop about everything that was happening. There were a few hiccups along the way, which is to be expected, but LGR handled everything professionally and to our HOA's satisfaction. LGR's crews were on site, on time every morning and worked long hours to keep the job moving along. LGR is one of the few roofing companies that employs all their workers, they do not sub out gutter installation or roof tear off to other companies. LGR has separate crews for tear off, roofing and gutters. Everyone gets to do what they are trained to do and everyone is directly accountable to the project manager. We were impressed with all the crews assigned to our project and the individuals assigned to run each crew. Ultimately, LGR ended up finishing the job under the proposed timeline. They even redesigned our gutter and downspout system to correct flaws that had been present since 1977! Flaws that had continuously caused clogs and overflowing gutters are now gone! Our community is thrilled with our beautiful, new tile roofs, gutters and downspouts.

I just had Los Gatos Roofing install a new roof on my house. From start to finish, the process was hassle-free. Brandon Sisk was my main contact and he stayed in contact, explaining everything every step of the way. The initial estimate visit was very thorough and Brandon explained everything I needed to know about getting a new roof. He pointed out what some of the problems might be when construction started (old plywood base which might be the wrong thickness and out of code, possible water damage). Both were issues it turned out. The crew that showed up was very efficient and thorough. They removed the existing roof and started on the repairs right away. When the day ended the repairs were mostly done and the shingle installation was started. Before they left, the crew diligently cleaned up the property. The next day, the crew returned to finish. The rest of the shingles were installed and the repairs were completed. The shingles and the ridge vents looked great (both in appearance of the shingles themselves and quality of installation.) The repairs consisted of wood repair and replacement and stucco repair (all quality work.) The day ended with another thorough cleanup of the property and if you didn't notice the new roof, you wouldn't have known there was a work party there that day. Overall an excellent experience that was stress-free and done quickly. I got an excellent value for the money and I highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing

I had a wonderful experience with Los Gatos Roofing. My dad, a first time home buyer, bought our home in 2011 and we have never replaced the roof until last month with Los Gatos Roofing. Both me and my dad know nothing of the process or hastle to get a roof replaced. I have seen their billboards and trucks everywhere when I am out and they were the first company I wanted to try. Brent came out to give me a free estimate on the project. He climbed our roof, explained to us how we can tell the roof needed replacement (other than the two bald spots of missing shingles), and was professional the whole time. Both me and my dad were impressed with the way he presented himself and agreed to contract them for the job. Los Gatos Roofing was straight forward throughout the whole process. Brent communicated with me with the timeline of event, his crew came when they said they would. What surprised us was they were able to complete the whole project in one day! We loved the experience, Los Gatos Roofing took care of the removeal of the old roof, disgarding the ruble, acquiring the material for the new roof, and the man power to finish the project as promised. The whole process is stress free and the price is reasonable when all these factors are taken into consideration. It's stressful undergoing a roofing project as you never know what may happen during the roofing process. The roof may look great, but underneath, there are leaks waiting to happen:(. Argh, especially during rainy seasons when leaks appear where you never had them before. My wife interviewed multiple companies and settled upon Los Gatos Roofing because of Robert. He is courteous, straightforward, and personable and has a wealth of knowledge. The crew was quite friendly as well. They redid our roof over 1.5 years ago and through the two rainiest seasons in sometime, our roof has performed wonderfully to protect our house. (Looks fantastic as well.). Just yesterday, we discovered some small water accumulation coming form a window frame, no water damage on any of our ceilings or walls, and decided to give Robert a call to investigate. He answered his phone immediately and came out the same day to inspect everything. They didn't charge us anything for visit and deemed everything looked good. In addition, he will return to check on the window shortly just to make sure. Now that is service! Highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing for Robert, his crew, and their 5-star service!

Top quality from start to finish. Rep came to my home in Sunnyvale to review what I needed. This was late Msy 2023 but the work could not start until late August due to their workload. Brandon kept me informed at every step. The job itself took two full days, but was completed as committed. The roofers worked extremely hard, and it was impressive how it all fell into place. Material was delivered exactly when needed, no idle time loss. This was a reroof of a 74 year old home with the original and one additional roof over that. The removal was a colossal mess, but I knew that when I signed the contract. I had radiant OSB sheathing installed with CertainTeed Asphalt shingles. Be advised that the contract states a reroof is considered a major construction project. I had some damage to the eaves, which was repaired with caulk and paint. Again, I expected this. All in, I rate the entire process at 5 stars. Hope this summary provides some insight into what you can expect. Final note; my insurance for both Homeowners and Earthquake decreased after I notified my carrier.

I requested several quotes for gutter repair since I had several areas where the gutter was pulling away from our roof. Several were from Diamond Star certified service providers. Los Gatos Roofing promptly came out to provide an estimate and gave me a quote. The quote was very reasonable and I ultimately selected them for the work. It did take a few weeks to get on their schedule, which was understandable since this was a small job they were going to do when they had time between major roofing jobs. They also were up front and let me know they might not be able to do it right away, setting expectations appropriately. Once I got on the calendar they came out promptly and arrived almost exactly when they were supposed to arrive. The work was done quickly and done well, and the workers were courteous and professional. I would certainly use them again.

Most people write reviews and give 5 Start for a company that did an amazing work for them. This is not the case here -- I'm giving Los Gatos Roofing 5 Stars for the job they didn't do. I was told by another roofer that my pitched roof needs replacement now (few shingles on ridge were showing wear) and I called Los Gatos Roofing for a second opinion. Jon Fletscher came to provide an estimate, and his assessment was that roof has at least 5 more years in it and recommendation was to call back in a few years, save $$ now and take a vacation instead :) I appreciate honesty and integrity -- and want to give Jon and Los Gatos Roofing kudos for being great neighbors and care about me! We just finished with our roof replacement by LGR. Craig Gonzales was our main contact from the initial quoting process to the final inspection. Craig gave us some great ideas to consider for the new roof to make the house more livable. Craig responded to my texts in a timely manner throughout the whole process. We had one small issue after the installation and Craig sent his crew back to revisit the issue the next business day. We were also happy with his Crew, two of the work days were above 90 degrees and they worked tirelessly. They cleaned up at the end of the day before they left and my backyard was actually cleaner than they had found it. I am going to use their service again for my parents' roof in the near future.

Los Gatos Roofing just reroofed my horse stable. My contact was Craig Gonzales who did an exemplary job of managing my project. He came out immediately and I had my proposal shortly as requested. The proposal was detailed and complete, with attention to detail. They started on my project when promised and finished a little early. They are a large company with multiple crews that can handle large projects. Los Gatos Roofing was a little more expensive than my other two bids but I saw that the bid was complete and did not allow for lots of add-ons at the end. The workman are serious, neat and follow required safety protocols. I would definitely use them again.

Went with Los Gatos Roofing for re-roofing - they installed our roof 33 years ago from our first remodel and put on our 2nd story roof (next remodel) 27 years ago. Our roof still looked new, but needed to be replaced before we install solar panels. There were a few fascia boards that needed to be replaced, but otherwise the underlayment was in great shape considering the years! Their quality work in the past helped make our current re-roofing project easier. They finished in 3 days, just before the rains came (no leaking detected). Good communication, no surprises, and they cleaned up after themselves every day. Highly recommend.

Great company to work with -- Robert was great representing the company, working with us through scheduling issues, explaining what they were going to do. Scheduled, work started on schedule, an complete ahead of schedule, leaving the job site cleaner than it was when they showed up! In case you hadn't guessed, highly recommended! We went through a rainstorm the following weekend, and we couldn't be happier -- well, they replaced all the gutters, so the gutter/downspout noise was different during the storm. Hired Los Gatos Roofing to do a gutter replacement and add-on and it was a world class experience. Validated that Los Gatos was a licensed contractor with the state board as well as being Diamond certified before submitting a request for a bid. Bret and Matt came over on time in their company truck to do a comprehensive measurement and provided a quote within a day or so. Scheduled the installation and the crew showed up on time and managed to complete the project in a matter of hours. After the project was completed to specs, they cleaned everything like nothing ever happened!

Daniel was great to work with from first estimates all the way through inspection. During the estimate process another company said we had double shingles and they would need to charge us for additional labor because of this. I told Daniel about this and he came out to double check. He confirmed we did not have double shingles! We put minimal amount down payment and the balance was due after inspection. This was huge for us to go with LGR. The work took only 2.5 days. We're extremely happy with our roof and the entire process. Thanks LGR!

Two years ago Los Gatos roofing replaced my roof, gutters, and downspouts. All good! Now I'm getting a solar install and the installer flagged my power meter and main circuit breaker (which they need to replace) as being too close to the corner with its gutter downspout. Los Gatos roofing moved and extended my downspout to resolve the code problem. Furthermore the manager decided to call it a "warranty issue" so they fixed it without charge. I can't express how incredibly happy we are with the whole roofing experience with Los Gatos Roofing. From Daniel's consultation, to the finished product. All the workers were exceptionally professional and hard working. Our old cedar shake roof was removed and all new plywood was installed the first day. By the end of day two, the crew was 99% done and finished some detailing the next morning. Price was very competitive too. I am referring the company to anyone needing a new roof.

We needed to have a skylight replaced on our roof when it started to leak. Juan Hernandez came out within a few days and verified that it was just the skylight. The crew that did the work was pleasant, professional, did a great job and it was done quickly. Juan was also very pleasant and professional. I like that this company (they had also replaced the roof a number of years ago) does not try to sell you more than you need. They're very honest and do a great job.

Los Gatos Roofing recently completed a tear off of an old shake roof and installed a new one. They did a fantastic job--incredibly professional, clean and efficient. The entire job was completed in one week. It was a "soup to nuts" service--that is to say they managed all the new gutter installation too. Really pleased with the sales side--Dale--who has great knowledge of the industry, and the experienced team on the roof who did an outstanding job.

Did an excellent job on my roof replacement. Very professional, efficient and helpful finding the right solutions for my situation. They tore off two layers of shake and wood shingles, and replaced with asphalt shingles over OSB, including installation of proper attic venting and gutters. Also repaired some dry rot and replaced a troublesome tar and gravel roof section with a more up-to-date solution. Could not be happier with the results.
