I’m new to Marion County. However, I’m not new to Florida, and all the fly by night businesses, shady operators and con men that have come and gone through this State. They give the Consumer unnecessary stress by constantly having to check, recheck and background check a worker that you invited into your home. People are jaded more than ever on who to trust with their hard earned money, and if they are earning it earnestly, or baiting them?! Nothing is worse than being hot, and being sold an appointment! I find it very refreshing that I was given excellent solid advice and was given an affordable fast fix! I received excellent customer service by this company. I’m pro Mom and Pop business. It’s especially awesome to find an honest, earnest group of folks who are willing to give their best, and do their best for you, and your family. It’s family of people, helping other families. That may be a small business to some folks, but they were all heart to me. Honestly it was a refreshing experience. This is what’s still right at home!
We had a leaking water heater and had Rich York come out to check on it. Turns out it was super old and we needed to replace it or fix it and replace it later. While he was here he checked our bathrooms and sinks to let us know any other issues that should be solved too. He wasn’t pushy or frustrated with question. You could tell he honestly wanted to help out. He quoted us a couple options for water heaters, we chose one and financed and it was really easy. He came back out 2 weeks later once it was delivered to install it. He was very professional, kept us updated on how it was going. I could tell it was a little more involved than a normal install. They had an electrician , I think Schwartz was his last name, run wires and Rich welded new pipes and cut them. It was a lot of work But he got it done and even He cleaned up after himself and stayed late to make sure it worked before he left. It was a great experience and we will call Patrick’s in the future for any help.Both of these guys deserve some lunch!
Thank you so much for being so AWESOME Andrew and Lane!! Only recently moved over from the UK, air conditioning stopped working last night. After waited all day for Home Depot to turn up, I had to look for a different company. I got Patrick's heating company number from Google and made an appointment. The receptionist was very helpful and professional and got us a slot straight away. Everything was very organised, messaged us and let us know when the technician was on the way. Andrew and Lane came and diagnosed the problem straight away and got it fixed just like that!!! Andrew thoroughly checked it, made sure it's working! Really absolutely AWESOME service and real experts with reasonable price!! I would not use another company as long as I live here. Highly recommend them to everyone!! Thanks again!!
Our 15 year old AC unit finally kicked the bucket! We reached out to Patricks. Within 45 minutes Mr. Chris was at our house. Everything from the first call, to Mr. Chris coming to assess the issue was a positive experience Mr. Chris explained every product to us in great detail walked us through the entire process. It was like having a friend explain it and not a sales man! Next day Mr. Ian and his crew showed up. Very kind and respectful, just a great group of guys. They had my AC unit up and running and all duct work replace in less then 24 hours. Mr. Tom installed the new tech-y thermostat and walked me through how to use it. Craig came out to my house in Dunnellon to repair and replace leaking push button valves under my kitchen sink. The ones replaced were 18 yrs old and wearing out. He told me the price…it was reasonable and it remained the same after the work was complete. I have had bad experiences with other local companies in the past. I felt really comfortable and confident with Craig’s professionalism and expertise in the plumbing repairs needed. He answered any questions I had and he was easy going, pleasant to talk to. Underneath the sink is a lot nicer, leak-free, and clean looking now. Needless to say my 2 year search for a good, honest company is finally over. I called TECO because I accidentally turned off the pilot light in my water heater… It’s a very old water heater… Nate came out very late tonight. By the time he left it was dark… Very professional, and I feel confident that this is the company that I want to install a new gas water heater… TECO gave me four phone numbers… I’ll save you the trouble just call this company because I called all four and this company was the most reasonable. They don’t charge exorbitant fees just to come out and take a look or charge additional by the hour … There has to be a lot said for that. Nate was kind enough to move the objects in his way and I can tell he knows his stuff. I’d give 10 stars if I could.
Shayne Bernhard is very knowledgeable, efficient and represents Patrick's Heating & Air well. Truthfully, if had my own air-conditioning company he would be working for me. I had several businesses in my time and understand that excellent employees is what makes a company successful. During heavy storm we experienced power surge causing damage to the air-conditioning unit. Saturday night at 9 pm I called to schedule an appointment for tomorrow. Within minutes of setting the appointment I received a call from Shayne Bernhard that he's arriving within an hour. He was thorough going through a process of elimination to isolate the faulty components.
I had a fantastic experience with this company! The first night I called, they scheduled me for the very next day. Our air conditioner had a clog and was leaking, but Andrew came out promptly and got everything cleaned up and running smoothly. The next day, we noticed a little bit of water again, and they didn’t hesitate to send Shayne out. He quickly identified the issue and had the pipe glued and fixed within minutes. Both technicians were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The customer service was top-notch from start to finish. I highly recommend this company—they truly care about their customers and go above and beyond!

I would 100% recommend this company to friends and family, very professional, helpful, informative, and willing to work with you. The best ac company i have ever been through. Dakota and Andrew came out the first day for diagnostics very friendly and professional. Found out many parts of ac was messed up so we decided to get a new unit. Dakota came later that night to get paper work filled out and got it installed the NEXT MORNING! Josh and the other guy (can not remember his name) were very efficient and clean with their work! Our air conditioner was not coming to temperature so we called Patrick’s air they gave me a time and chase our tech came much earlier told us exactly what the issues where and immediately began repairing. Within an hour our home was cooling off and he had explained everything he did and what to expect. Our first time dealing with Patrick’s as we just bought in March, can’t tell you how very impressed we are with the entire process. Will be using them as our regular repair service. Thank you to Chase who was so patient explaining what and why and being kind and thoughtful.

This is my second experience with Patrick's Heating & Air, and I must say, it was another great experience. Victor conducted an inspection on my attic fans and found 3 out of the 4 fans were not working. He explained the issues and options for future repair if I decided to pursue. I appreciated his detail to protect debris from falling on my personal items in the master bedroom closet and cleaning up the insulation that had fallen from the attic in the house and garage. Another positive experience and be assured I will be using this company in the future.
We needed a new ac unit and I’m glad we went with Patrick’s. From start to finish everyone we worked with was great! John Johnson was very knowledgeable about all the options and helped the process along quickly. Gardo and Dwayne came the next day after signing paperwork to install. Craig did a fabulous job! He found the problem and fixed it quickly - despite a bit of neighborhood drama going on! He was polite and helpful - even taking time to help us corral an escaped puppy! No crazy upsell. He was a true pleasure to work with and I’ll be calling this company the next time we have a gas leak! The person who initially took my call also did a great job of listening and getting a service person to us quickly. I’m very impressed with this company and recommend them highly!

Patrick’s seems to know their stuff. When we had a problem with our tankless electric hot water heater, they came immediately and were able to advise us and install a new upgraded system that day. Subsequently we requested that they install a reverse osmosis filtration system plus a new kitchen sink and faucet. Their plumber Craig is knowledgeable and personable. The technician assessed the current health of my HWH. A date for a new HWH installation was agreed upon. Nothing more to add at this time. Nate is knowledgeable and articulate and readily answered all my questions. After further observation, I noticed that the HWH was not centered on the stand. These guys were good! We had a new A/C unit, ductwork, and a hot water tank with a WiFi thermostat installed in one day. The "A" team – Tom, Josh, Nathen, Jason, Dillon, and Dave – were great. Craig, the plumber, went above and beyond and even fixed our leaking hose spicket. It was pricey and hard on the checkbook, but the peace of mind and quality work is worth it. Thank you guys!
Sun Cool said they had to replace a connection they had made 3 years ago when they installed my mini split. They wanted to charge me a large amount for this even though they installed the connection. Tom said the connection could be tightened which solved the probelem and saved a lot of money. Also - thanks Tom for the recommendation for electrolites. I ordered some from Amazon.

I have used Patrick’s twice and very pleased both times. Their company cares about your needs and will find the problem and fix it quickly. Will definitely be using them in the future. I would also like to add that they do not ask for an outrageous emergency fee to come out after hours or on weekends. They charge a $49 fee and use that fee towards fixing the problem.
Patrick's heating and air conditioning company is the best I've come across in all the 40 years that I've lived in Florida. Dan was on time and fixed the problem with ease. He also explained everything he was doing and answered all of my questions. They are by far the best. I definetly recommend them. You will be very happy with their expertise and their prices.

I'm very impressed with Patrick's so far! Nate has come out to help us with emergencies twice now. They came out immediately, no super long waiting period. He was always so nice, gave super detailed explanations about what was wrong and how he recommended fixing it. Very professional and knowledgeable, which is what you want from your plumber in an emergency!

Where do I start? We chose Patricks to install our new AC/Heat pump because of the fact that they would take $1400 off of the AC because we already paid that amount on recent repairs. They also told us that we would get a $1000 energy rebate and $2000 tax credit to help offset the high price ($14,000). Another perk was that they could install it the next day. After the install, we encountered the following problems: * our new electric lawn mower had the $400 battery disappear that day. We live in a gated community and have never had a theft until they were in our garage all day. * they needed to come back numerous times to complete the job. * they used our ladder the last time they came out and spilled acidic solution on it so the paint was etched off. * they took our thermostat which was only a year old when they installed the new one. My husband told them that he wanted it and another item of ours that they shouldn't have taken. The repairman took it out of his van and returned it. * THE BIGGEST THING --the AC/heat pump model they installed was a 14.8 seer vs 15.2 seer....because of this, we were not able to get the $1000 energy rebate. We were also not able to receive the $2000 tax credit. We lost out of $3,400 between that and our battery! I see this as a major bait and switch! They had no response when my husband asked why they installed a unit that did not qualify for the rebates they promoted for the sale. They refused to do anything to remedy the situation. They only said "sorry". Stay away from Patrick's heating and Air! Oh, and the reason they show a 5 star rating is because they do not allow any postings of any less stars.....which is crooked in itself. So disappointed!!! As a response to Patrick's response......we did reach out at least three times for you to make it right and you did NOTHING. That is why I posted my experience and why I will also advise my community to be aware......
Two gentlemen, a technician and a supervisor, came and were supposed to inspect, and if possible, repair our HVAC. The assessment showed that a repair wouldn’t be feasible, which is fine. But the way these two gentlemen told us with a big smile that I’ll get a heart attack when I see their price and that they wouldn’t even need to look to tell that my system in the attic would be completely rotten and moldy, was simply not ok. Even without asking first, they told me straight in the face that I never maintain my system and that I shouldn’t be surprised if it’s broken. If they had looked, they’d have seen that the coils are regularly washed, the filters were brand new and there was no mold whatsoever. I had another tech from a different company over two days later. He was friendly. He eased me into the cost, found a solution and he inspected the attic. No mold whatsoever. 👍 This $60k contract went to someone else, including annual maintenance contract, because these two just didn’t need another contract it seems. When I told them that they should send me a quote, they turned around and walked without saying bye. Not how I’d like to be treated as a “valued” customer. We customers are paying your salary, my friends.
I’m not one to normally post reviews but we have had exceptional experiences in the past with this company, we recently had our AC ductwork replaced and it has been a horrendous experience from start to finish. The employees have been wonderful up until today very condescending with my wife they work quality is not exceptional trying to get them to come back out to clean up some obvious messes has been a chore, we are done with this company they filled gaps with expandable foam let the dropping drip all over my ac handler my new carpet runners was told the would come back and clean up never did . came out today to fix obvious leak from cleaning the evap core the tech was very rude and condescending with my wife the employees say the owners are very involved and take matters like this very serious not once has any management reached out to us very disappointing since we have been using this company for over 15 years well the saga continues. I had to hire another company to come out and replace the new ducks. I just had replaced to fix my airflow problem that they said they would fix what I agreed on the duck replacement from Patrick’s still no phone call still no concern of Patricks Heating And Air
Dan was able to come and assess the non functioning HVAC system the same day I called. Arrived in the time window promised. Honest opinion on what was needed to fix the problem. Was going to leave the 5 star review but had to update. Had a new unit installed over Memorial weekend of 2025. After install, they had to come out daily due to various issues with the unit not cooling at least 5 times. Marion county code was here 7/25. Did not pass for a few minor issues. Patrick's sent out a tech who told me the most important thing was to make sure customer was taken care of. One of the issues was sprying foam in certain areas to prevent creatures from getting in. The outcome has been the sloppiest job. Granted, I don't have a $500000 home; however , if this type of work is any indication of the crap install. I am sure I will forever have issues. Avoid this company.
Horrible experience over charged about 10k for a new airhandler heating and cooling system. They do no honor the warranty either! Very disappointed on how they took advantage of me. They didnt replace the wood board where the unit sits. They didnt replace the inside where the filter sits. They didnt replace the cement pad that the outside unit sits on and its very very uneven. I asked for a digital manual J load and was told it was too much work. That they can use the square footage 2217 sq and I was given a 3ton needing a 4 ton (now I know machine runs non stop) just bc the home had a 3ton doesnt mean swap it out n put same a reputable company would know this. Im very frustrated. I was misled and paid over 17k fr a swap the wrong size lower seer and worst than what i had before.
I wish I could give a zero! I have no doubt that these two gentlemen knew what they were talking about because their final estimate was approximately $18-$20,000 for an 800 square-foot home. Yes that’s what I said and that was with their discounts. They told me that the coolant that goes into my unit is no longer available in this country and then I called another. Company and guess what they have the coolant available to service my unit. They were trying to sell me something and could care less if I could afford it or not I wouldn’t recommend these people if they were the last. Conditioning company around if you want to get ripped off, call them call Patrick’s
My unit is under warranty and they didn't offer to submit for a claim. I called and talked to a woman in the office about the bill and was informed that the cost on the invoice is for the labor and part they stated all companies do it that way. I felt I was due money back for the part..She informed me it would be approximately $50.00 and dances around my questions. So I cancelled the maintenance service the technician talked me into for $199.00 but the refund of that is less. I won't recommend or do business with Patrick's again.
5 stars for the instaĺlers in how they were patient, knowledgeable and took the time to explain and answered all of my questions. I was there with them the whole time observing and learning. They came to replace my Lenox system and install HVAC Daikin cost me $17k plus 😔 and I requested a itemized breakdown of the cost bill prior to agreeing to the job to be done. When I got the bill there was no breakdown then I get an email and am told that they are a flat rate company. (After the fact)
left me rotting in my home with a coon hound trying to get a back ordered fan and when they offered e a new unit instead for the price of the fan poof they couldn't get the new unit either I think they are trying to hold out for the fan praying the unit won't get here first while I roast in the house coming on 2 weeks This isn't my fault the unit is less than 4 years old they should make it right and get out here what they have in Ocala and resolve this probKen It s Florida as 92 in my home What's the use of offering me a new unit instead of a backorderd fan if they can't get the unit either so unfair

I am 88 years old and completely reliant on the honesty of others. Due to personal problems in family forgot to put vinegar in drain line so it completely stopped up and condensation backed up and leaked out. Called another company asking for a tech to come out and clean the line out. A tech came out and worked about an hour and told me there was a leak in a coil. Said they could fix it for about $600. I declined. I talked to someone in his company the next day and was told that he had seen the pictures and was told a fix was not viable and that I needed a new system at a cost of around $12,000. I decided to get other estimates for a new system and called Patrick's H &A. They sent out a rep named Lane. Lane checked out the air handler, made a few comments and then told me I did not need a new system and would not be able to sleep at night if he tried to sell me one. He called a tech named Dan who was 30 minutes away and waited for him to arrive. Dan checked out the system, agreed with Lane, put pipes back the way they should have been, spent quite a bit of time cleaning out the strongly stopped drain and said there was no other problem with the system and that it should be good for at least another 4 or 5 years. These guys from Patrick's spent more than 2 hours with my problem and because of what I had been through with the other "Pros" did not charge me. I did however sign up for their maintenance program which cost less than the other company charged me $220 for not taking care of the clogged pipe. I am so glad that I accidently found Patrick's H&A as this is a company with honesty and integrity and that is hard to find these days. Thanks Lane and Dan.
