Troy from The Roof Doctors was awesome! He showed up fast, checked everything really thoroughly, and made sure I understood what was going on with my roof. Super easy to work with and very professional. Highly recommend!

We first called Roof Doctors in November 2016 to take care of leaks that were showing up in three upper floor bedrooms and first floor laundry room ceilings. Clifford showed up within a couple of days and did a thorough inspection of the entire roof. He identified a broken tile as well as a dozen slipped tiles and damaged underlayment material. He also found problems with some of the vent flashings, and we asked him to give us pricing on replacing some barge boards that were showing signs of dry rot. His estimate was broken down into three sections for leak repairs, vent flashing replacement and wood repair with separate pricing for each. The estimate also included more than a dozen photos of the problems that Clifford identified, which made it so much easier to understand his recommendations and to be confident that those repairs were needed. We went ahead with the leak repairs immediately and decided to delay the wood repairs until the summer. The repair crew came out the following week, did the repairs quickly and completely, and at a price that was very fair. Overall, it was a good experience, and we figured the problems were all solved. When the rains came again in January 2017, we saw that little leak in the laundry room come back, so we contacted Clifford and let him know about it. He was fantastic - he came out right away to look at the roof and said that he found another area of the roof with some debris under the edge of the tiles that might be the problem. He had the crews return to clean that out, and then did an extensive water test to confirm the work. Again, we were very happy with the service and the results. In Winter 2017, we had an old leak return in the roof over our dining room that was letting water into the wall above the window. We called Roof Doctors again to schedule an inspection, and Clifford was again our inspector. He found problem with the bottom row of tiles that had slipped and were letting water get under the tile riser, along with a problem with the flashing that wasn't directing water away from the edge. He gave us a very fair estimate for the repairs (with photos - that's a nice touch!), which were again done quickly and completely, and again it was a very good experience overall. The next rain verified that they did the job right. In Winter 2018, we again had a slipped tile that caused another bedroom ceiling stain, and that pesky leak in the laundry room was still there. Clifford recommended that we open the ceiling in the laundry room to find the root cause of the problem. It turned out to be a most unusual problem - a vent pipe for the laundry room drain had a pinhole leak in a glue joint that was running along the floor joist and into the ceiling during heavy rains. I was able to fix that plumbing problem myself, but it was Clifford's recommendation that lead to finding it. I have been very impressed with Clifford - he's professional, very prompt and responsive, polite and pleasant, takes the time to explain everything, and always makes sure that the work on his jobs is done correctly. He's been great to work with , and I would recommend him highly.

Last January after the Los Angeles storm, I was denied my claim for a roof repair by my home insurance company. To fix my roof I went through 3 different roofers to get a quote, that I felt was reliable so I can move forward. They all told me that I need to get the whole roof replaced because the shingles were completely worn down and I had no plywood holding up the shingles. Not one of them told me what Roof Doctors ended up telling me, that I need to get a new roof done because of wind damage. Roof Doctors sent their inspector "Hector" who explained the problem and what he could to fix it. 1. With a chalk in Hand Hector drew on my roof where all the wind damage spots had occurred and took photos. 2. Created a full report and sent it to my adjuster on my behalf. 3. Insurance adjuster replied my sending their own inspector and agreed with Hector's report. 4. My home insurance approved the new roof. 5. "Jamie" from roof doctors contacted me to give me the good news and we hit the ground running. 6. Roof was finished in 2 days they started and ended on time. It doesn't stop there!!! The insurance company denied my request to get insulation after the roof replacement. I went back to roof doctors(Hector) and he wrote a report as to why I need the insulation and sent it to my adjuster on my behalf. Two weeks later I was approved for new insulation. Roof Doctors were able to get the insurance to pay for the roof and insulation which came out to be $41,500. My fellow Yelp users who are having roof problems especially with the insurance company, give Roof Doctors a call first and I promise they will take it from there. Unfortunately, insurance companies do not respect their customers so you have to bring professionals to the table who know how to talk to insurance adjusters. Jamie said "will get it paid for" and I replied "yeah sure" I've never been so happy to be wrong. Good luck to you all who are having roof problems.

I am quite surprised by the single star ratings here. I read thru them to see why my experience was so different. Here is my experience : I have a house in Mountain House. In the last November storm water leaked thru roof to the ceiling. I remembered that Roof Doctors did the roof tile realignment couple years back and hence I could use their warranty. I called them. Immediately I was helped to have someone come look at the problem in 3 days at no cost (due to warranty). Even small roofing companies don't do it. I can see why some customers are upset. The root pro can't tell you when they will come. And in my case he rescheduled to next day last minute. Somehow I wasn't affected that much. Next day he showed up and root caused the issue. He sent the info to roof doctors. I waited for their call back and it seemed my paper wasn't pushed forward quickly enough. Here also I can see why some other customers were upset with follow throughs. I called them few times and talked to person named Amber. Amber was amazingly helpful. I got the quote the same day and work was scheduled within a week. They fixed the problem in a reasonable cost. All in all, they are are good people who does quality work. Most of the customers are already in panic mode since they are calling about a leak. So I can see a lot of them feel frustrated about the delay. For me the process was slow but smooth. Thanks to them as well as Mother Nature for not raining that badly again until it was fixed.

After last night's storm I'm compelled to follow up on my recent experience with Brett and Paul of Roof Doctors. Roof Doctors initially repaired my roof in March of 2017 with no further leaks detected until November of 2018, winter 2017 was very mild. I was able to work with Brett to have the work re-done which was incredibly generous considering it have been over 18 months since they came out. These repairs were completed within a couple business days of speaking with Brett. I thought I was in the clear until we had a day of heavy rain on Sunday January 6th. I had two leaks in my ceiling that night. I contacted Brett on Monday and he was on my roof before 8AM Tuesday morning! After a much more comprehensive inspection Brett determined that there is a much more larger issue with my roof and gave me an honest assessment of what I need to do to permanently resolve the issues. Paul and Brett spent the next several hours making repairs to the roof in the rain. I'm more than happy to report that these repairs have held up to the 3 inches of rain over the last 2.5 days. I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Roof Doctors clearly stands by their work and has done so. The customer service experience has been truly exceptional.

I am a licensed Realtor and use Roof Doctors to inspect homes for me regularly. Roof Doctors does inspections for free, so you'd think they would overbid jobs to make their money that way, but that's NOT the case. I routinely list homes and have buyers agents recommend Homeguard inspections to their buyers which really frustrates me, because THAT company is a scam. Homeguard charges for a roof inspection and they still always find repairs needed, they've never seen a roof they didnt want to "fix". I always have to call Roof Doctors to come out for a second opinion because I know they will find anything that needs fixing, it's in their interest financially to find repair work that's needed, but I also trust them completely not to make up false issues in an attempt to make money. On several occasions, no repairs were recommended, which means they get no money out of the inspection. Thats honesty! That degree of honesty is not something I've ever seen from another roofing company. When I call RD for a second opinion, their quoted repairs are often 30% to 70% less than what was quoted by the scammers at Homeguard. I highly recommend calling Roof Doctors if you need your roof inspected or repaired.

When we originally purchased our home, we called Roof Doctors to inspect our roof prior to purchase. Roof Doctors found multiple issues with our roof, but when we proposed the fix to the sellers, they requested that we do another inspection with a different company. We followed the seller's request and the second company said there were no issues with our roof--this was our biggest regret. Fast forward two years later, we found a major leak that went through our garage ceiling. We called Roof Doctors back, because we realized that we made a huge mistake by choosing the other company to inspect our roof. The Roof Doctors had our inspection report saved, and was promptly able to come over to reinspect and fix all of the issues that they had previously noted, in addition to making sure that no additional problems had occurred in the meantime. We are so happy we originally chose Roof Doctors, and are still kicking ourselves about not going through with them the first time around!

During escrow, our buyers had roof doctors perform an inspection on the roof and asked for the recommended repairs to be corrected. We contracted with roof doctors and they arrived on the scheduled date to complete the work. After the repairs were completed, I had some concerns that I shared with Roof doctors about the work performed. Mike returned my call, and assured me that they would look into my concerns and let me know what next steps are. Mike came to my house and re inspected to roof, along with the repairs and assured me that the repairs were completed and completed correctly by walking me through step by step what was called out on the inspection, and what was completed with the repair. While I was frustrated initially, I ended up being pleasantly super with The Roof Doctors response, follow through and dedication to customer service. A big thank you to Mike for his follow up. I will definitely be using roof doctors again.

Everyone at this company is considerate professional and my experience was very u and straightforward. A lot of reviews said that you overpay for the work with these guys and to be completely honest I did not get a second opinion like I maybe should have. But they do offer a warranty on their work and it was quick and painless. And of course like I said everyone I dealt with was awesome. Clifford was the estimator and always made himself available for me when I had questions. And trust me I had a lot. Would definitely refer them to friends and family and would have no problem calling them out again if needed. I'd like to reiterate the fact that if it wasn't for Clifford I don't think I would have gone with this company and done this job. He was highly personable and reliable. Every time he said he would do something and every time I reached out to him, he was there! Where is his yelp page?

Mark came out to do a roof inspection two days ago. I was able to get an appointment within two business days of my call. Mark arrived in the time frame he committed to. He did a thorough inspection of an area on my roof where I had previously had issues and where a different roofer had done some work this past summer. Mark said the other roofer did a good job and that I should not have any issues. He could have told me that I needed additional work. Instead, he carefully explained what he saw as he inspected and why he considered it good quality. He also told me what to watch for as a signal that an issue has occurred. He was professional, patient to explain to me in detail (which I requested) and unwilling to suggest work that I don't need. I would recommend Mark for roof inspections. I did not have actual work done by the company, so I cannot comment on the quality of their repair work.

I had several lifted shingles and the flashing in the vicinity of my chimney that looked poor. Mike of Roof Doctors informed me when he would be out to inspect, and came on time. He and his associate (whose name I've lost) did an inspection of not just the chimney area but of the whole roof. Further, they determined the damage around the chimney was minor and offered to repair it at the time of their visit as a courtesy, since mine was their last stop of the day. They also found an area I had missed where the metal chimney pipe comes out that needed recaulking, and repaired that as well. I would have readily paid several hundred dollars to have this all done, and it was a class act that they did it as a courtesy. They were also open to questions and easy to communicate with. I see a lot of negative reviews here; all I can say is I had a very good experience.

I have a client in the process of purchasing a home. We were told the roof was 2 years old but on the inside noticed a large bubble that seemed to be getting bigger over the few times we stopped by. I had scheduled for the roof doctors to come take a look online. Ellis was there on Christmas Eve where he did check the outside of the roof and said it looked good. He then scheduled a time with me so he could be let inside to check out this bubble. He was so professional and great at communicating with me when he would arrive so I could meet him there. Right on time! Got straight to the bubble and turned out to be a paint/primer issue. He was very honest and upfront. These are very hardworking people and are very professional. I will use them again when I have any other roofing concerns. Thank you Ellis!

I have been fighting this leak for months and months. Every time I thought I fixed it the next storm would come in and, of course, it would be in the middle of the night and the leak would come back. Right next to my headboard were I sleep. I could not find the problem for anything. We called Bill at Roof Doctors and he came right away since another storm was brewing. He spend 15 minutes up on my roof, found the leak, fixed it, and left. He asked us to see if it fixed the leak and after the heavy storm came and went he followed up, verified the roof didn't leak, and then quoted us to provide a more permanent solution. Bill was extremely professional and very thorough. We could not be happier with this service! Thank you, Thank you!

I had some repairs done on my old roof. It is near the end of its life but I was trying to squeeze a couple more years out of it. A couple months after the repairs a few shingles blew off. I called customer service and Brett personally came out to inspect the damage. He was very cordial and easy to express my concerns to. He ended up repairing the damage for free. He probably could have not done the work because legally speaking, the cert does have a disclaimer for high winds. However, he gave me the benefit of the doubt and decided to make the customer happy even if it meant going above and beyond what he was contractually obligated to do. I appreciated the customer service, hence, the five star review.

I had a small leak, first one since being in the home now for 12 years. I was a bit surprised, as the roof is only 15 or so years old. I called Roof Doctor, and despite it being a very busy time (Rain Rain and more Rain), they were able to send an inspector out the next afternoon. Mel was prompt, and on time, and very professional. turns out my roof was fine, the heavy storms combined with a messy tree had completely blocked my gutters again, and that was being wicking up a few feet, causing the leak. No charge. I was very impressed. After having the gutters cleaned again, the leak stopped. I have other income properties, and these guys will be getting all of my future business.

As a Real Estate professional my clients trust and rely on recommendations for many different things during the process of buying or selling a home. Roof Doctors has been one of the most reliable and great companies to work with over the years and my clients have always seemed pleased with the detailed inspections and roof repairs. I enjoy working with Roof Doctors staff and appreciate their quick response when ordering inspections and I always appreciate the roof inspectors quick turn around time on roof inspections rain or shine. If you're a homeowner or a Real Estate Professional give them a call and see for yourself.

Would highly recommend Roof Doctors for all your roof repairs... We recently purchased a home and had it fumigated for termites, which in turn resulted in a bunch of broken tiles.. had several estimates from different roofing companies and we decided to go with Roof Doctors because they are very friendly and honest.... Steven came out and was honest about the amount of broken tiles which was 1/3 of what other companies were telling us. Not only did they repair/replace the broken tile, but they also cleaned out the valleys for about half the price of what the other companies were trying to charge

We were purchasing a new home and had Roof Doctors as part of our home inspection. We were so impressed with their report which was very detailed and included pictures which showed the issues and the fact they actually got on top of the roof to inspect. I would highly recommend Roof Doctors and use them again! I should add that another competing company by the name of True Roof provided a 'clear' report with NO pictures or anything! Roof Doctor's came in after them and showed tons of issues. We are grateful for their honest work and thoroughness! Thanks!

We had a leak in our roof and we decided to get a quote from roof doctors. They came out within 48 hours and inspected the roof. I received the email with the estimate shortly after and was able to set up a date for the repair. Every time I've had any questions or needed answers, the staff was been very professional. I'm surprised others have rated them so low because my experience has been great. We got the roof leak repaired a couple of weeks ago. We'll see how it holds up, but the customer service so far has been exceptional.

After this winter's storms there appeared to be something loose on my roof. Contacted Roof Doctors and they came in 2 days. Bill checked it out and let me know it was a flap that covers where the peak of the front porch met the roof. Also a couple tiles had cracked and one was slipped a little out of place. He fixed all the issues on the spot with construction glue and didn't charge me at all. I really appreciated this since I'd already spent $$$ replacing and repairing my fences. I would highly recommend them!!!!

One of my go to companies for repairs, inspections and complete roof jobs. The guys know what they're doing and have always provided reliable and professional services. I must have used them at least 10 times and referred them out just as many. Used this company on my own hime as well. Most of the time it was for repairs and inspections and I was really impressed with the last job they did for me which was a complete roof. They allowed my client to pay at the close of escrow for a fair bid.

These guys and gals were super great. Mike was the person that did the roof inspection. He was courteous, easy to talk, wore a mask, stayed 6 feet away, completed the inspection and sent pictures of the repairs that needed to be made. The guys making the repairs were here early and quickly went to work with just a thumbs up. The people answering the phones in the office were so nice. It was a smooth and enjoyable process. When I hear the name Roof Doctors, it makes me smile.

I thought I had a leak in the bathroom and would need some roof repair so I asked for a free estimate. After I received an inspection they told me that they thought the issue was a ventilation problem in the bathroom. They also pointed out some areas on my roof that I should pay attention to and regularly maintain. They didn't try to sell me anything and said that my roof was installed properly and it would last for years to come with proper maintenance. Thanks!

This is hands down one of the worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I was charged $27,000 for an 800 square foot roof. Yes you read that correctly. Recipts can be added as proof. The first roof that was placed on was horrible in every way. It immediately began pouring water into the house both in the bathroom and kitchen. It turns out roof doctors only hires contractors. The previous roof drained properly until roof doctors. The entire top of my house held and maintained water and began ruining the property. It took a LAWYER before they would even agree to replace the first roof they put on. It took over 50 plus emails. Roof doctors never once called me. They will not answer any specific emails so they can attemp plausible deniability. Over time I'll release every email with the CEO Craig Young and Lisa. They attempted not to fix the issue until my lawyer emailed them on a breach of contract. I have had to continue to pay out of pocket to get things done correctly because roof doctors will not pay the contractors for all the materials. (For instance look at the photo of the facial board below. This was installed by roof doctors and was cracked and broken within 3 months. They refused to replace this. The contractors said the CEO was aware of the problem and many emails were sent only to be fully ignored. I had to pay out of pocket to have it done right) As you can see from the photos no grading was done. They refused to put any covers over my drains after removing the ones that were there. They were warned that this would cause immediate clogs but they ignored those emails (all will to be uploaded) until my entire drainage system clogged even with maintenance. Ill uploas emails from the CEO where they admit they subcontract our their jobs. Be warned that this company will attempt to rip you off, will attempt to minimize any contact with you. You will need a lawyer to get any traction. My roof was installed last year before October and it took 50+ emails and 6+ months before any realistic action other than patching. I highly advice going directly to the contractors that roof doctors use. You will save yourself a lot of money and a lot of hassle. I'll continue to upload photos of the roof they tried to sell me for $27,000.

I asked Roof Doctors to fix my roof. They gave a quote that the roof needed 20 tiles replaced. When they came out almost 3 weeks later they found that it needed more than 20 tiles of work. So, they replaced 20 tiles and left with the roof still having broken tiles and being prone to rain coming in. When I called them SIX days later to complain that the job wasn't finished, their "supervisor" Brandon gave me a line about "You hired us to replace 20 tiles." No, I hired Roof Doctors to fix my roof, not a portion of it. Brandon's response was "Well I tried to send you an e-mail but I guess the system was down." Roof Doctor's website is hosted by GoDaddy. I doubt GoDaddy's E-mail server was not down for six days. I then tried to call the home office and was told that someone would call me back. Instead, they sent an invoice for full price, with Brandon's signature/certification that the work was done. I called again asking to speak to a manager and they assured me someone would call me back. The person who called was Brandon again. He offed me a discount. A discount of $50 on a bill for $900. That barely 5%. So, I hired these people to do a job, they didn't finish the job, refused to let me speak to someone in management and then billed me for the full cost of the job. And to top it all off, on the e-mail that the invoice was attached to, after letting them know how upset I was, they asked for a 5-Star review. Sorry RD. I give 5 star reviews to companies that do a good job.

I hired this contractor to replace my roof, expecting a professional job. Unfortunately, the experience was far from it. They started the work and met with the city inspector on hour 1 of project, who informed them that part of the roof needed a slope adjustment. Despite this, they started the job and failed the inspection and then abandoned the project without completing it. The worst part? They left the roof uncovered, leading to leaks in my home for three nights in a row. When I reached out for answers, I was told to find another contractor to fix the slope issue so they could "come back later" to finish, which was unreasonable and unprofessional. It took countless calls to get any clarity on whether they would actually return, and in the end, I had to hire a new contractor to finish the job. After all this, they still had the nerve to send me a bill for almost 95% of the contract, despite leaving my property in a vulnerable, incomplete state (even area-wise, the incomplete part was more than 30% of the all job). I’ve since filed a complaint with the California Board of Licensed Contractors and talking to attorneys for my next steps. Homeowners deserve better—do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a reliable, responsible roofing contractor." Update: they have reached out to me by phone and email bully me into paying for the work they didn't finish by saying that we are putting a lien on your property. I just informed CSLB and my lawyer immediately.

Sadly, I have to take my good review back as I continued to use this company. I had an Inspection which showed what areas needed to be fixed on my roof. I had them come out to fix those areas and added the roof certification for no leaks proof for 2 years. We had a leak a few months later, and was told by the supervisor that when the inspection was done, the inspector who did the Inspection left out a portion of my roof in the inspection report. Therefore, this part of the roof is not cover in the roof certificate. I had to pay for service again and was charged an additional fee for them coming out to inspect the leak. I tried to speak to a manager but was told that management does not take calls. This should have been initially communicated to us that they only include certain parts of the roof in the inspections. Per the Supervisor, this was an option for the inspector to include or leave out certain parts of the roof in the Inspections.

I bought my house in 2021, and my real estate agent recommended Roof Doctors to give me an estimate to get up to 5 more years out of my roof. 2 guys showed up and spent about 3 hours, and I was charged nearly $4,000. The roof started leaking immediately because they forgot to put skirts around the pipes. I called customer service, and the lady fought with me, insisting it wasn’t anything they had done! I finally convinced her to send someone out, and he fixed the new leaks for the most part…but I have always had one small leak. 2 years later, the leaks have grown, and my handyman, who has roofing experience, looked at it and said that the roof was badly done from the start….and I feel I should have been told that. But my main complaint is the amount I paid to Roof Doctors…they didn’t do anywhere near enough work to merit that payment.

The initial experience with this company was great. Was able to easily set an appointment for an estimate and they came out at that specified time and provided the estimate promptly. It was everything after that, that gave them a 1 star review. They rescheduled on me 3 times (in 3 days) and by the third time the guy came out and said he had the wrong tiles. He said he would be back within a few hours and never showed. Called the company to let them know. Extremely subpar experience and lack of professionalism. I needed this work done before this next storm and they failed miserably.

If I could get -0- stars, I would. Beware of this roofing contractor. At the recommendation of a realtor, we had them come out because they offered a Roof Certification. I called 5 other roofers and no one else offers the certification. However, they told us we needed over $4,000 in roof repairs. The other roofers said only $500 and the roof was in "great shape" They also offered pictures with a drone, and did not stomp on our roof tiles like Roofing Doctors. They jack up the repair price to pay for the certification. It's a scam and cost us the sale of our home.

If you like paying top price for sub par communication and waiting weeks for repairs, hire this company. They will charge you additional money for a 2 year roof cert when they inspected the whole roof and performed almost $4,500 in repairs, and conveniently wont clearly outline the cert will be additional until almost 2 months after the fact. Much better roofing contractors out there for the communication and price you pay. Only went with this company because a buyer was adamant that this company does the repairs for damage found.. never again!

The response by the business is astounding. First, I have not bullied anyone. I asked for COMMUNICATION with a principle on the license. I have not asked for anything else. When an office manager responded to that email, which was basically go pound sand, I reiterated that I was asking for communication, a reasonable request and that I was trying to avoid a CSLB complaint, which is my LEGAL RIGHT under California law for ANY type of dispute. Contractors are aware, or incompetent if they are not, that every consumer has the right to complain about the contractor to CSLB for even the most trivial concern. A situation where the contractor has HIDDEN additional fees that on many roofing contracts could amount to hundreds or thousands of dollars is NOT trivial. Second, the concerns I raised have been misconstrued by the business in their entirety. My complaint is that they failed to DISCLOSE surcharges imposed by them on the most common form of payment in 2022 until after services were provided. This is a violation of GENERAL business laws in California and is not only applicable to licensed contractors. The other concern pertained to setting up a digital contract that included a waiver of a statutory cooling off period that was REQUIRED to be executed to complete the digital signature process AND that when I brought this to their attention their employees were annoyed that I wouldn't just sign the waiver. The business's comment that many clients need immediate services is irrelevant here were there was nearly a full month between the execution of the contract and the start of services. Waivers of this statutory right are only appropriate in emergency type situations and the law is clear about that. They tried to get me to waive that statutory protection by subterfuge by including it in the contract and making it a mandatory signature when they sent me the contract. I hoped it was an honest mistake but the hidden fees makes me believe it was not. The cooling off period exists to protect consumers who MAY have been taken advantage of by a contractor and convinced to sign a contract not in their best interest. This company is simply negating that consumer protection by getting less sophisticated consumers to sign the waiver simply by making it a required section to complete. I disclosed to the business with my initial complaint about the hidden fee that I was a licensed attorney out of sense of fair play and honesty to the business and its employees. Blameless business owners can be quite spooked to deal with attorneys in general; I was raising legal issues about the contract, maybe they'd prefer to have me address my concerns to their own attorney rather than have an employee address the situation, I wanted to give them an opportunity to consider the concern I raised fully before responding. I made no demands that I even be responded to promptly, just that a responsible party, rather than an employee, contact me. The demand for me to show them which laws apply is funny (in an are you seriously the owner of a business way not a haha way) because they are basically asking for free legal work. I have already been told they have counsel, they should be asking for their own counsel to review the law with them. But I'll be nice and point out them to the unfair business practice laws that are applicable, those would be Business and Professions Code section 17200 and 17500...hidden fees are a form of false advertising and false advertising is always an unfair business practice. These are general laws applicable to all businesses in California. That they insist that I point to CSLB laws addressing these issues is laughable...the violations are of laws that everyone has to comply with, not just contractors. I haven't received an email from anyone but a person who is some sort of office manager, and that email was terse and told me to pay my invoice and go away. I have a voicemail of the dunning call and based upon that voicemail, a human did not leave the msg. Maybe a human dialed the phone but the msg sounds like a recording or a computer generate voice. It's obnoxious and a technical violation, but is the least of my concern since the other issues have real consequences to myself and other real consumer.

My roof was leaking and I called roof Doctors prior to the storm and rain because I knew it was coming. The guy came out actually got on the roof and instead of putting a tarp or the temp tar paper all he did was write up a bogus estimate of 7,000 days later and said we had to wait to have it emailed to us couldn't tell us ANYTHINg on the spot. It was for a small leak on a dormer. It just cost my Brother 8k to replace an entire roof on a 1,000 sq foot house in the Bay Area. While we wasted our time waiting for roof doctors insane estimate it rained 5 days straight and has now completely destroyed the interior of the house which all could of been avoided if something was put there temporarily when they came out. The other two roof people I had come out after getting this estimate from roof Doctors said there is no way this work could of cost over 2,000. If only I had called one of these other companies out first all this inside damage could of been avoided. Another roofing company came out and put tar roof paper on it in 10 min and stopped it until we can fix it and roof doctors could of done that. Not to mention giving estimates that are triple the actual cost. Would never use this company this was truly horrible to do and to and waste our time not doing anything to help before a storm like this. I attached pictures of the damage and the carpet is saturated as well. Roof Doctors ended up costing me so much more in the long run and with these crazy estimates and in an emergency situation had zero urgency. I just wanted to add after reading the hundreds of one star reviews after writing this that the owner's novel long responses seem outright crazy. That he has this much time to write and you don't see other Roof companies with complaints like this yet they spend such little time inspecting the roof the guy was here 10 min just to tell me to wait for an email. If this is how someone responds to customers where I've seen him call people liars, would never make it as a defense attorney, and several other conspiracy type comments that some reviews are in with the completion I'm appalled. So unprofessional. My Mother just used them for her rental property and we will now be having a second company go check the work. I'm also a Realtor and for several years gave them business for roof certs and had no idea what was really going on or how the owner speaks to so many unhappy clients. I won't be using them again I will tell everyone to steer clear and what I find interesting is after the guy was up there poking around and I heard him this leak became extremely worse I have no idea what was done or moved around or how carefully he meandered around up there. Most roof companies come out and do a FREE inspection it's not some special service only Roof Doctors offers which seems to be the owners go to. I'm so upset over the interior damage that was not there 3 weeks ago and had I just called any other company they would of put some temp tarp or tar paper and I would not be in this situation now. I've lost sleep over this damage. They also claimed there was dry rot on the outside but none was found by the current roofer and my roof is only a 7 year old presidential comp shingle. Also every other roofing company says they are known for the over charging. It may be what's going on by doing roof certs and then always finding an issue wrong and possibly over charging to those that are not aware of what the cost should be is how they are staying in business. Overall if they really cared about customers and there is an emergency situation they should be able to tell you on the spot this is what's going on this is what needs to be done and we can do this, that or the other temp right now until we can get back out here. Don't just leave the customer waiting for an email for days and then this damage happens below in these pics. They should change their name to Roof Malpractice Doctors!

My family recently had a 3-month long miserable experience with roof doctors. It is only the sheer terrible service, unprofessionalism, intimidation, and responses from roof doctors that makes me want to strongly warn anyone against using any of their services. I strongly advise anyone with roof work needed to review the general themes of complaints here and on the Better Business Bureau and all other social media review sites - as you will see very common themes emerge. The D- rating on BBB is there for a reason. In January 2023 roof doctors was contracted to fix a leak on our roof. Part of the signed contract was re-directing water flow to a different area. The work was done and was completed in less than 30 minutes and was a terrible job. A banged-up metal pipe was taped to a prior down spout and re-directed to the same area where the leak was - not fixing the issue at all. It was also not secured and a safety hazard to leave unsecured on the roof. No communication on work done or explanation was provided. For the next 30 days I attempted to reach anyone at roof doctors to discuss the problem and was met with such incompetence and lack of response I cannot explain. The staff who returns your message (because no one will ever pick up the phone) repeatedly told me they have no way of reaching out directly to supervisors or management. The staff refused to document any of my calls or provide any email or communication that I needed a response. Finally, after 30 days the original surveyor returned to my home, and with me by his side, confirmed the job done was in fact "a crap job" of sub-standard work. He completely agreed with me. He then removed the down spout and it was left open that he would need to figure out with "his boss" on the best next steps. The job was left incomplete. Another 30 days goes by and despite multiple calls and emails to this surveyor and roof doctors staff there was a complete lack of response. Finally, 2 months after the initial job was "done" I receive an email from so-called co-owner of roof doctors that the invoice is unpaid. I kindly asked for a phone conversation to discuss the incomplete job and adjustments or plans to complete the job. He refused to have a phone call. Again, the owner of the company refused to have a discussion with a client about a sub-standard job that was left incomplete, and his only response was a threat to enforce a mechanics lien on the property if the invoice was not paid immediately. Again, please read all additional reviews. Incompetence, lack of communication, unprofessionalism, intimidation and just a pure lack of any human connection are common themes rampant. Sadly, much of this could have been mended with returning calls, an apology and acknowledgement of the mistakes made and agreement to stand by their work. Please be warned.

DO NOT USE THIS SCAM ARTIST COMPANY!!!! NOT FOR ANY REASON!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DONT DO IT!!!! Back in January/February I discovered a small leak (more of an intermittent drip really) in one of the roo.s of my house. I immediately called for roofing service (since saving my house from damage was the whole point). They sent a pre-inspection guy out, who said the problem was a build up of bird feces. And that to fixthe problem, the feces would have to be removed, as well as multiple flashing and vents would have to be removed, reshaped properly, and replaced. ( he said the vents/flashings weren't installed correctly by the builder (new home). I agreed to this and an appointment was set for March 3rd. They came on March 3rd, and admittedly did remove the bird feces from the gutters/flashings, but did not clean under the solar panels or anywhere else (verified by the bird netting guy I used for the solar panels a few weeks later). Unfortunately,... the improperly reinstalled one of my vents, and 2 days later, when it rained again,.. the little "drip" in one room, became a waterfall in a completely separate room. I immediately called and complained, and a few days later, the same inspector came out (and even took pictures, which I have, of the vent flashing that they didn't install properly). Turns out, the installation crew only sealed the bottom of the vent, and not the too (like they were supposed to). So he'd have to get an "emergency crew" out to fix it. The emergency crew didn't even show up until the 29th ... a whole month later. And the roof doctors won't fix the drywall/ceiling damage that their shoddy installation job caused. And I have (in email) them saying stupid things like "you were never promised a fixed roof leak",... even though that was exactly the point of calling them in the first place,.... they also claim that they never touched the flashings, even though I have it on writing, and it was verified, in person, by their own inspector. They also claim that they "don't have to fix it properly the first time",... like, seriously??? Where on earth does that work? Imagine getting your car back from the mechanic, immediately getting into an accident, and then having the mechanic say "not our fault,.. no one promised you that your brakes would be fixed properly the first time",... or getting food poisoning and the restaurant saying "no one promised you that you chicken would be cooked properly the first time". But I digress,.. the point is that they are not capable of being adults and taking responsibility for their own actions. I'm still contemplating suing them,.. I'm just not sure if it's worth it, as it'll cost me more than just fixing it myself. The moral of the story,.... DO NOT USE THESE GUYS,... EVER!!!!

Gosh! Not sure where to start. To avoid building the watch, let me just start by a simple statement. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Hired them back in 2019 for a roof inspection. Fast forward, we had them come back out this year to add removal of sky tubes to the list. We hired them in October. The first red flag was: 1. They kept moving the appointment around. And told us WE WOULD HAVE TO CALL at 8 AM to find out IF THEY WERE COMING...and at what time. What kind of establishment develops this type of customer service? After moving us around three times, they showed up on a weekend. Let me remind you all WE HAD TO CALL that morning to find out if anyone was coming. They also have an email disclaimer that they can show up and nobody needs to be home... Red flag #2. Who works on a roof without the homeowners home? Once here, they started work and that was to remove the sky tubes. Red flag #3. They works hack saw fell through our roof, through the sky tube into our home!!! Small children were home, construction workers in thr home were feet away from the wreck as was my husband. It would have killed someone. Photo attached. Red flag #4. The roofer had to come back to complete the work. The day he was to arrive, he was about 4 hours late. The reason? He had to search high and low to find our type of shingle. HOWEVER!!!! HIS BOSS OMAR told him to just put any shingle on it...who does that? What kind of manager or company tries to trick the client or not be honest upfront? And why start a job if you don't have the right parts? Red flag #5. We tried like hell to get a call back, an email from management. Nobody called one time to apologize or offer to pay for the damaged ceiling. Instead, I got a survey , and then I finally got a back and forth pointing the finger type response. SMH. I got an email from Lisa Crock. Not a phone call...and email. Basically saying sorry, but nobody was hurt. I explained that not all of the roof was repaired per our first inspection...no email reply. Not that I was expecting it. PURE LACK OF SERVICE, COMPASSION, QUALITY OR INTEGRITY. We are remodeling our entire home, and by far Roof Doctors was the worst decision we made to help us repair our home. I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. Adam Wilsley(sp) clearly isn't involved in his company or people. I can't imagine an owner allowing this type of service, behavior or lack of values bleeding from his company. GFY!

ROOF DOCTORS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ROOF DOCTORS. RUN! If you are contemplating doing business with Roof Doctors take a close look at all the negative One-Star Yelp reviews. If you need further reason to RUN, go to the Better Business Bureau web site where you'll see they have a rating of D-. This company has no ethical or moral fiber especially the CFO. I hired them to replace a single roof tile - too high for me to reach. They emailed my invoice for $410.00 on 4/3/23 which I overlooked - my bad - I rarely check my email.. This was April 3, 2023. On June 12, 2023, I got a call and email from RDoc with another invoice., which I paid it immediately (6/12) via my banks bill pay service. I emailed their office Admin that day to say it should arrive by 6/20 and specifficly asked to be advised if it does arrive by the 20th as expected. The check did not arrive because the USPS took 11 days to deliver on 6/21/23 and Roof Doctors NEVER called or emailed me to advise. Instead they filed a Mechanics Lien and refused to understnd that I have no control over the U.S. Mail. Too bad for me in short, was the response from the CFO Craig Young. Had I been notified by the Office Admin I'd have cancelled the check and paid by credit card then and there. They had no empathy and just saw another way for them to bilk more money out of me, $186 for the Lien, plus Credit Card fees, plus they told me I'd have to pay for the Release cost. To date, for a single roof tile ($410), their Mechanics Lien ($186), pay the county to file the Reverse (as yet unknown $$$) and cover the CCard charge, I paid Roof Doctors over $601 to fix a SINGLE ROOF TILE. You decide, is this the kind of campany you want to deal with?

I started with them on Nov 20, 2023. The inspector Troy came out the next day & was very nice, professional & helpful. Responded with an estimate & scheduled the replacement of my skylights in a timely manner. After that, everything went downhill. He was a no show for the appointment - I had to call & find out why. They told me the skylights would have to be "special ordered" - but no one bothered to call or inform me. I had to call back 3times within the past 2months because they kept giving me 2week call back time frames that Troy would order them & call me back. Each time he did NOT call me back & I had to call. Jan 8, 2024 I had to call again. They said the material was JUST ordered, it will arrive within 10days & Troy will call me back with an appointment date. I complained about the time frame almost being 2mos with horrible communication & no apology. Not once did the rep offer an apology on behalf of the company & only replied "Yeah, ok." Today is Jan 23, 2024. I had to call again. They placed me on hold for 10mins & wanted me to hold for another 15mins while they heard back from Troy who was "checking" on the status of my order. I told them i will not hold & need them to call me back. I was PROMOSED someone would call back in 15mins.... it has been 1hr. This company SUCKS!!!!!! I was ghosted by their technician Troy who never communicated with me again and not once did they apologize for shitty customer service. I only tried this long because of the price. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! D. Irving

RIPOFFS AND GOUGERS. Contracted with them for $4,052 to do some repair work consisting of fixing a couple of slipped tile, mending (glueing) 8 tiles, cleaning valley flashings and some miscellaneous work on our 1 story house in Auburn. I thought the price was pretty steep but not knowing what exactly was involved in doing the job we hired them. I trusted that they were quoting us a fair price for the work. Scheduled the job for June 24th. The repairman arrived at 11am on the 24th and was finished and off the roof saying goodbye at 3pm!! FOUR hours it took one man to do $4052 worth of work. I called the office to clarify that there was some mistake here. Nope but you can call the man who estimated the job 'D' we will call him. I called and asked him to come to inspect that the work all had been done. He said yes and I complained that basically what amounted to $1,000 an hour was unreasonable and unfair. He just kept reiterating that 'we don't bid by the hour'. And that the particular guy who did the work was really fast. This is an outrageous amount for a contractor to charge. He eventually gave us a 5% discount bringing the overall cost down to equalling $950 an hour. Oh and as a last ditch to justify he tried to convince us that the man was here the day before as well. Absolutely false. We were home all day. DON'T USE THESE GUYS.

It's incredibly frustrating to have experienced such a series of disappointments with Roof Doctor. After investing in their services based on the recommendation of my inspector and purchasing their warranty, I expected reliable and effective work. However, from the outset, doubts arose when heavy rain revealed a leak shortly after their initial patch-up job. Subsequent attempts to fix the issue only exacerbated the problem, with one instance resulting in mismatched shingles and a botched chimney repair that resembled amateur work. Despite expressing my dissatisfaction, the subsequent attempts to rectify the situation were equally unsuccessful, indicating a lack of expertise and poor communication within their team. My roof is still leaking so nothing has been fixed. It's clear that Roof Doctor's services do not meet the standards expected for such crucial home repairs, and I strongly advise others to seek alternative options to avoid similar frustrations and further complications with their roofs. Roof Doctor hires underqualified individuals for these critical tasks, as evidenced by punctured flashing, insufficient roof caulking, and misplaced nails that will inevitably lead to further leaks. I strongly advise anyone considering their services to look elsewhere to avoid the headaches and financial strain I've endured.

Hire them to sub-contract your project to people more incompetent than themselves, start a project with all the facts on the table, unable to pass the city inspection, abandon the project, leave your place with a mess and leaking ceiling. We had them replace the entire roof of our place, and they started the job while the inspector made it clear in hour 1 that they need to provide minimum slope to part of our roof that was flat. They started the job from the sloped roof (easy enough to start the mess on your roof). They could not pass the city inspection and left the job without any communication with a funny plastic cover. It took us 3 days to get a hold of some person who told us we cannot finish the job. Go and find a general contractor. A lot of miscommunication and lies and times wasted on phone lines. Our place has been leaking in the past 3 days and they don't take any responsibility. I stared sharing my story in Nextdoor and asked neighbours for help. One obvious feedback was how you ended up hiring them with terrible Yelp and BBB reviews. Their google reviews was a trap for me and I am doing my part to aware people of their business. We filed a complain with California Board of License and BBB today, and we are all in to go after their license and bond, until we make them responsible for all this mess.

Looked at the review and thought they should be good but unfortunately very poor customer service. They use subcontractors and are not a "Local" company. Work wasn't complete on initial day and subcontractors said they took a lot of pictures which they said I would receive them via email. When a different person showed up to finish the job, explained that I still did not get the pictures for the work done on the roof, he promised he would either get them or come back following week the right ladder and take them himself. Several days later the Co-owner/CFO Craig is texting me and states I need to prove to them the work wasn't done. I only asked for pictures of the work done which would have taken 10 minutes or less to do but then he starts referring to the contract and pictures are not part of the contract. All of the people who came to the house all agreed and were nice about getting me the pictures they told me they would provide. Was told by Craig if I have any dispute I need to submit them in writing and does not want to send someone over to do what his staff all committed to doing. If you want to work with a remote company, put all requests in writing in contract or better yet go with a real local contractor who takes pride in their work and name.

Granted our roof is old. It was replaced 24 years ago and on top of the original roof. This memorial day a freak twister hit the front of our roof and ripped off several shingles. We had been having heavy winds. My insurance adjuster recommended "Roof Doctors". Big mistake. I should have picked my own. Roof Doctors adjuster came out assessed the damage and gave us the estimate. The estimate did not exceed my deductible so I gave the go ahead to do the job. About three weeks later two workers arrived late in the afternoon and started the job. About an hour into it I decided to see how the work was going. I walked out and these guys were trying to just glue the shingles on without nailing them down. I asked them what they were doing but neither one spoke a word of English! They called their boss and I had to tell him what they were doing. They went back and forth with him for a couple of minutes then ripped off the shingles and started over. I remained outside until the job was complete. I understand now why they told me I did not have to be home for the repairs. Glad I was! And last why would they send someone out who can't communicate with the home owner. If I could give this company no stars I would.

Roof Doctors is a dishonest company. I had an inspection done by Troy Warren who elected to provide an inaccurate report on a roof that obviously had extensive dry rot. He provided an estimate I agreed to the amount of $11,201. After the roof was torn off the house and the garage they came to install the roof, the roofer walked up to the porch and stated they could not put new roof due to dry rot which was seen from the ground level. Troy provided a change order which was $8,696 added to the original price of $11,202. Roof Doctors wanted $19,897. for an approximately 1176 sq ft house and detached garage. I offered to pay $3,500 to $4,000 to repair the dry rot, the boss Craig Young refused. Stating he had gas, office workers, secretaries and repairs to pay, that's why the price to mediate the dry rot. They also threatened to place a lien on my property if I did not pay them prior to getting the roof inspected by the Sacramento Inspectors. They was so much more to this report. I would urge anyone who needs a new roof to run the other way. This company is worthy of a negative review and I hope that they will learn to be honest and have integrity.

Do not give this scam business your money. They will tell you something is wrong with your roof, then give you an amount to pay and have you docusign a contract. Then, they will "fix" your roof, and when you have them come out to re-fix what they should have, they will charge you double the amount of money you originally paid. Then they will call and threaten to take you to court if you don't pay for what they did not fix because you signed the docusign. From the looks of the reviews they do this to people all the time. They really need to be looked into for theft and fraud. Editing to add: We just had the top rated roofing company on Yelp come out and fix the roof as roof drs charged us for something and never fixed it. The new roofing company stated the previous fixes to the roof (roof drs) glued new shingles onto the previously broken shingles. Our contract with Roof Drs stated they would remove and replace multiple things and not one thing they (roof drs) stated they would do was actually done per the report from the top rated roof company. I am appalled. What a disgrace of a company roof drs is. This company will rob you and have zero remorse.

Horrible company to deal with. Roofer replaced chimney flashing and shingles around the flashing and certain shingles that were needing replacing and rubber boots for vent pipe. One vent was missing the rubber boot and was not caulked and nailed down and the shingles were a different color and was not overlapped correctly. Once bill was paid, we had some rain and water leaked into the upstairs medicine cabinet that was not leaking before. I have tried to get the roofers to come back out to fix their mistake since 11/7/23. Had 2 appointments where I waited all day and no one showed up . There is no ETA time and each time I call the office , customer service would tell me that the roofers are not answering their phone. Today was my third appointment scheduled and guess what no call and same reaction from the C/S rep and I call the estimator and he said I will find out what's going on and get back with you. No call back and it's 5pm. This company has no follow-up for their mistakes or taking any initiatives to reach out to their customer. I have never dealt with a company like this . I would not recommend this company.

Too bad there is not a zero star option. Like so many others, our potential buyer got their "free inspection" on our almost-new roof. They apparently something about that isn't required according to CODE, and demanded a $250 2 year roof certification along with a bogus repair of $450 for an item that is NOT REQUIRED ACCORDING TO CODE. Our realtor said they were "upset" when we didn't buy into their scam. Good, I'm glad they are upset that their scam was unsuccessful! They did not even take pictures of the "damage" they claimed. They refused to come and re-inspect even though we had a professional add the unneeded item - repairs certified and completed by a roofer with 50 years' experience, and inspected and approved by a more reputable roofer, in addition to a PE Civil Engineer. (In my lay opinion, this type of behavior could be viewed as extortion). Needless to say, we are also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Beware. It's like the saying goes... You get what you pay fo There's a *reason* they are willing to do a "free" inspection...

I think this company is funny on how they have to defend every bad review instead just accepting the responsibility on them dropping the ball. Even after they came back to fix there mess ups. I flew my drone and here are more broken tiles. Brian is right I bought the house. They were used for an inspection. It rain hard, I had a leak, I used there services which they came out and did there repairs but then missed 4-6 tiles that are broken and my valley that they didn't clean. I called back to tell them they can back again to fix. After they left that when I flew the drone and still more broken tiles. Oh and instead of replacing the tiles they patch with caulking. Should a consumer call them back for the third time. I don't think so. Just saying use at your own risk. They still can't do the job the first time or even the second time. Always people get a second or third bid on any contractor of what ever trade that works on your house. I made the mistake and didn't.

Took 3 visits to my house to complete the repair. 1st visit, horrible workers; trash and nails left everywhere and they didnt even complete the work. So when we called back for them to fix it, we stated we want another crew. 2nd visit, same crew as the first came out. Refused for them to fix what they didnt fix in the first place. 3rd visit work was completed. After all of this and speaking with the manager Mike, he stated he would compensate us for the inconvenience and call us back. No call, no bill, no pictures for the repair. I then emailed to inquire, no response. Emailed and called 4 times for my bill and updated pictures. Now here we are almost 3 months later and I get a call that states they will put a lein on my property if not paid by that day. How can a business run like this? Now the manager is saying he never said he would compensate us for the inconvenience of 3 visits. And now he wants to call... What a joke. Lessoned learned! Dont waste your money!!

Too bad there's not an option for no stars. This company is a rip off. Honestly, I trusted them because I had a leak and this last rain half of my kitchen was flooded after they charged me almost $2000. Nothing was fixed and now I have to pay someone else to do what should've been done by the Roof Drs.. I am appalled that no one tried to help me and that they knowingly fixed things on my roof that didn't need to be fixed just to charge me I am devastated. I am just warning you to Look for another company to do your roofing work and hopefully you'll get honest people. For me this was a disaster and I understand if they couldn't complete the job and really fix the leak then they could've just said something and I would've moved on to someone who could've helped me. I am in bad shape because I have to pay for work that I didn't need done and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Please be very careful and make sure anyone you choose has a very good reputation..

Hired them to come fix a roof leak and was charged $2,000 for them to install a few shingles alongside our hvac unit that didn't even fix our leak. Was really unhappy with their service. First of all They Didn't go into our attic to fully diagnose the issue to see where the leak was coming from or anything and was super unprofessional when I would ask questions to what they were doing. They Used a handheld device that supposedly sees where the leak was coming from and they swore it is accurate. Sike, it didn't work so apparently they need to rethink their way of locating leaks. In the bill they gave us they had the nerves to write they aren't liable if what they did didn't fix the leak because they knew they did the bare minimum work wise and didn't fix our problem while overcharging us for the work done. We still have the leak and need to hire a new roofer to come do what they were supposed to do! Would never recommend using these guys for anything!

Stay away from this co as their work is poorly done and they are totally unprofessional and unresponsive to complaints. I recently retained them to fix a small leak under a downspout on my roof. They were backed up for 5 weeks, but the estimator Alex Albrecht told me he would come over and tarp it so damage would be limited. He came over a week later and roof doctors charged me $200 for the tarp which was improperly secured and improperly placed. When i sent him a photo of the tarp blowing around, and said the continuing rain was causing added damage to the interior of my house he assured me he would return and fix it. He never showed and ignored my repeated requests. I endured a few weeks of continued leaks turning a few thousand dollar interior repair into what is now around $25,000 and counting. Their response was to offer to refund my $200 for the tarp. Again dealing with them was a huge mistake. Don't make the same one.

The Roof Doctors conspired with realtors to overstate the remaining lifespan of the roof in order to induce me into buying the house. They provided false information, claiming there were 10 years of life remaining on the roof. However, just one year later, I observed shingles peeling off. To add insult to injury...Upon inspecting the supposed repairs they had conducted, under a 2-year warranty for the previous owner, I noticed that they had arranged the tiles in an unprofessional manner.Furthermore, when I contacted them within the two-year warranty period to report issues with the roof, they provided a fraudulent assessment of the roof's condition, asserting that nothing was amiss. In reality, I require an entirely new roof. These individuals are reprehensible scammers, displaying a complete lack of ethics. I copied this of the BBB from Latasha. She could not of said it better. DO NOT USE ROOF DOCTORS. SCAMMMMMMM
