SCAMMERS! Don't not use this company at any cost. They're the typical liars who will tell you everything you want to hear and be professional at the beginning to get your money. However, once you pay them you'll have a hard time getting a response from them for any follow up work unless you are willing to pay again. We contracted them to do maintenance and repair work for leaks at our townhome complex back in February of this year. Of course, they were super nice and prompt with scheduling, responding, and sending out a team to inspect and complete the work. Several weeks later it rained and several units discovered that a few leaks still remained. We immediately contacted their office and scheduled for a team to return to make the additional repairs. The problem is that team never showed up. We've spent months calling at least 20-30 times and sending countless emails to the office and have largely been ignored. For the times they do respond, they continually half heartedly tried to schedule for someone to return to inspect the property but never committed to any set dates. Even when something was scheduled, it was cancelled at the last minute or the person never showed up. Finally 5 months after contacting them, someone did come out to inspect the areas again and said they would return the following week to make the repairs. It's been 2 weeks since that empty promise was made and still the office has refused to commit to helping. I have filed a complaint with the BBB because nobody should have to go through what we are. These people lack ethics and integrity, buyer beware.

I just threw the Roof Repair Specialist salesmen - 2 of them - out of my home. My 33 year old roof needs to be replaced. Rather than climbing up to the roof to provide an estimate, the 2 salesmen insisted that they need to come into my home first to talk to me. If they had climbed up to the roof, most of their questions would have been answered (e.g. condition of the roof, age of the roof, pitch, design, etc.). Instead we sat down at my dining room table to talk, without ever looking at my roof. And then the questions started coming, first about my roof, and then more and more intrusive questions : how long do I plan to continue living in the house, is it just me and my wife living here, do I have kids? The questions began to feel like they were casing out my home, questions that have nothing to do with my roof, questions that are none of their business. It all began to feel like a timeshare sales pitch. I asked them to leave my property and never return.

I really don’t want to talk bad about a company but I have no choice I tired reaching out to the owner and anyone at the company for three weeks. They stopped by my home twice after the skylight repair and I still have a leak that’s bigger then before. I emailed the owner and no reply. I had to spend additional $700 dollars to call someone to reseal the work that Roofing specialist inspected and supposedly fixed. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend this company.

Update: project finished - but saw some issues texted THE OWNER - it's been over a week and no response - even though we had been communicating prior to completion. Summary: (below is a timeline of about 3 months from start to finish - ridiculous) - also once you finish the project they will completely ghost you. So much for getting any fixes done or the warranty Would I recommend them? Yes, and No. if you do go with this company make sure you don't get Jean Ruelas as a field supervisor, and follow up with the company because they will not call you to schedule. I ended up having to call and schedule because they will not follow up with you. I would reccomend them for the quality of the work, as long as you can look past huge communication issues. They did good work, and pretty quick. However after they have you sign a contract everything goes down hill, communication lacks, and they say there would be a job supervisor on site each day (never happened). The job supervisor I had Jean Ruelas lacked communication and leaves you on read (see attached texts). Doesn't even pay attention to the text when i said I wasn't available after 11 he still tried to schedule me for after 11. On top of that his texts don't even make sense. Also, make sure you pick up every single call from them or you bring on a waitlist for earlier date goes out the window, they don't text you. They just call and if you don't pick up and try to return their call immediately, they won't answer and say they gave it to another customer. We had gutters installed, and while checking everything out for any issues, I noticed one had been patched by duct tape and another had already started to sag in the center. Lastly, I luckily checked my final invoice just in case any hidden charges, luckily I did and questioned it because I had only 2 change orders but they had a 3rd one I was not aware of and had it resolved. Full review: Project started in the middle of November before thanksgiving. Initial consultation was fantastic, listened to and answers all of our concerns we had regarding pricing, and the different materials used. Next step was to wait for permits and then schedule for the start date. In between, they had a guy come out checkout all the fascia boards see what may need to get replaced as well as a final inspection before job started. Fast forward mid December - no calls so I decided to call them see what's going on. They said they had the permits already. Then why not call me to schedule? So I scheduled it - was pushed out to February 6. They were nice enough to tarp the roof for us on the spot that was leaking no charge due to the incoming rainstorms. Fast forward to (Jan 26) I got a call but as I grabbed my phone the call ended. I immediately called them back - no answer. Called them back 6 times no answer. Finally I reached someone and was told the production managers in a meeting. 2 hours later I called again and finally got through. I was told within that minute I didn't answer someone took an earlier slot I was going to be offered after waiting for so long. I would've obviously said yes since I waited so long but due to lack of customer service and no one answering phones now I'm stuck waiting til the original date. Sure it may be only one week difference but after waiting nearly 3 months, it's pretty frustrating. Feb 6 - they finally started work. Everything was good, the crew was nice - but no job supervisor til almost 30 mins after the crew arrived. Jean Ruelas arrived after 30 minutes and Every day since - I never even seen him in the morning when the crew arrived to let us know next steps whats going on today. I was told that pictures where taken - I was never provided with them. Just random photos that doesn't even show the full scope of the roof. We had new gutters installed - and it seemed they messed up on one of them and used duct tape to patch it up - while another ones already falling off - yet can't get a hold of the job supervisor to even let him know.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL REGRET IT. They redid our roof in March of this year and did a horribly sloppy job. The crew punctured approximately 125-150 holes through our eaves by using the wrong sized nails (something that could've, and should've, been avoided if they had just measured the wood correctly) and didn't say anything about it. When we noticed and confronted them, we received the first of many lies: "Those aren't nails sticking out, they are holes from the previous nails that we ripped out from the OLD roof." Are you kidding me??? That explanation defies the laws of physics. It doesn't even make sense, but it's par for the course when you're this dishonest. Our eaves were painted and in IMMACULATE condition prior to this company showing up- no holes, no cracks, no nails poking out whatsoever. They also damaged our deck railing by throwing the old roofing materials down from the roof without looking to see where they were aiming. There was damage almost everywhere the deck railing was exposed to the roof: from scratches to huge gouges in the wood. Sloppy, second rate work. Our regular painting company, which we trust and have used many times before, came to inspect the eaves and confirmed that they were in fact nail holes from Roof Repair Specialist and gave us a bid for what it would cost to repair all the damage, including the railing. That amount exceeded the final bill from RRS, to clip the tips of the nails, sand, fill in with caulking all the cracks and holes, prime, and conceal with 2 coats of paint. Our house is a 2 story, almost 4,000 square foot house with an oversized, detached garage that was also damaged. Our painting company's bid is expensive but they do excellent work and the damage by RRS was extensive. We notified RRS, again, after they repeatedly denied what was plainly evident, and one of the owners, Andre Afsharian, came out to investigate... and whadaya know? Begrudgingly, RRS ultimately admitted that there WERE nails poking through the eaves, and that RRS was responsible. Andre claimed he would send out his own painting crew to give us a second (obviously much cheaper) estimate. Weeks go by... we don't hear anything. At this point, I don't trust this company any more than I can drop kick them, so we gave our own painting company the green light to start repairs. My husband reaches out to Andre, who finally schedules an inspection by his own painter. Mind you, our painting crew is almost half way done with repairs at this point. RRS's painter leaves and we never hear from them again. They never provided their estimate, and never followed up. UNTIL.... we receive a letter in the mail today (6/30/2022) saying they have put a lien on our house for the amount of over $44,000. What happened to your guarantee?? Your website specifically states: "We guarantee that no payment is necessary until you are 100% SATISFIED with your project!" How can you file a lien on our house, threatening to have it sold, when you expressly represent that no payment is necessary until the customer is "100% SATISFIED with your project,"? and we are most definitely not satisfied. In fact, RRS owes us $14,000 to cover OUR net out-of-pocket costs (above the amount of your invoice) to repair the damage you did! Andre specifically said in an email, "I totally agree that you are entitled to have top of the line painters perform the work." So what happened Andre???? Just to clarify, before they say they've never done work for me, the house is under my husband's name, John Gordon, and he intends to sue RRS for the damage they did to our roof, as well as report them to the state licensing board. If you want a shoddy roofing job with zero accountability for mistakes, and false statement after false statement, these are your guys. Easily the worst company we've ever hired.

Don't trust this company if you're planning on installing a new roof. Look somewhere else!! I called this company for an estimate to replace my roof at my office building. Within a week the estimator Scott P came out. He was very professional and I had confidence in him to take care of this project from start to finish. The last thing I asked him at the time of the estimate was if he would be there to oversee the job and he said YES. Ok so I signed there contract to start the job. They called me for a start day to being. Great!!! The tear off of the original roof was under way. After the tear off was completed the supervisor called me back and said that they would have to re-sheet the roof due to the condition at an extra cost of $5,600.00 more then the original quoted price. I have an attic crawl space you can stand up in. The estimator could have went inside the attic to check the conditions of the original wood. (Bait and switch). I asked the supervisor if he could give me a better price for new sheeting and he said let me see what I can do. Called me back 20 min later and said they could do it for $4,400.00. Ok I guess you have already bait and switched me, just do it for me. This company brings out the cheapest plywood they could buy and installs it. Now I'm really pissed!! I don't have a problem with talking to people but not one person one the job spoke English. I had to call the office every time i had a question. I paid this company a large amount of money to get a good job done and I'm super disappointed. The air conditioning unit had to be move on the roof. So,I had my a/c guy do it for me. He made a new housing flashing to install on the roof and installed it. This roofing company had to take it off to install the new roof under it and when they put the flashing back they put it in up side down, now my a/c has to do a lot more work to reinstall to a/c unit. The owner will contact you. After you post a review about this company. If the review was negative,he will compensate you to take your review down. Not good enough!!! if you pay for professionals to do the job Not for dudes that are probably not on the payroll with this company. I don't need the owner to contact me again.

You pray for rain to alleviate the drought. It comes, but then you realize you have a leak/leaks in your roof. You go to Yelp and read the wonderful reivews and decide to give these people a call. They call back promptly, schedule an appointment the following week, a clean cut young man shows up on time. He looks inside the home to where the leaks are, he goes up on the roof and tells you what's wrong and how it needs to be repaired. He sounds very knowledgeable, and you are impressed. He sends you an estimate that very evening. You have a few questions, you email him, he responds promptly. You sign the estimate to begin work as instructed two days after meeting with him. Another roofer calls, but you have already committed yourself, so you don't even get another estimate, you have so much confidence in the competence and professionalism that had been shown so far. After that, you wait, but you don't hear from him or anyone else from the company. So a few days later, you call to make sure they got the go-ahead. They did. They will call to schedule the repiar. No call. It begins to rain. You wait a few days. Still no call, so you call them. He returns your call, tells you they can't do anything while it's raining, but they will begin scheduling and in a couple of days you should be hearing from them. It stops raining, but still no call. Begins to rain again. You call. You just want to know where you stand. He'll call you back in a few days. No call. You wait. Several clear days. Then rains again, and by now, you are pretty anxious about the further damage to your roof. You call again, leave messages. No return. So three and a half weeks later, you are still at square one, looking for a roofer. The long and the short of it is, after you have given the go-ahead, you essentially never hear from them again. In going over the reviews, I see someone with a similar name (not me, though) had a similar experience. Maybe they just have prejudices against Nans--see review of 10/14/15. So in your panic to get your roof repaired, please take your time and call for other estimates.

Horrible! They came out to do touch up work + patch a roof. I showed the guy where the leak was and what i needed to get fixed. They did it, cleaned up the roof and I THOUGHT i was covered. There was a big rain storm at night and i slept well knowing i had these guys come out before the rain storm. WRONG! i woke up to puddles on my floor, water dripping all over my couch. When i called the company, they said. oh no, we didn't fix that, we fixed something else......SO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I POINTED AT A BIG LEAK in the ceiling and your GUY ACKNOWLEDGED, came in a few time to look at the area, TOOK PICTURES....and not only did he NOT FIX IT, he also DIDN'T TELL ME he didnt' fix it..... they told me it would be another $2K to fix that leak......bc they had to rip off all the tiles in that area and put new things down. Needless to say, I didn't call them back for the job. Got another roofer to come take a look, they said (...) there is no need to rip up the roof, they just want to make extra money and that wouldn't really solve it. He realized that the places that the tiles met were too tight, so the water couldn't properly run down the roof and that was why the water leak was all over the place bc it would get stuck and then splash and puddle depending on where the water got stuck. Long story short. He charged me $500 to cut the tiles and didn't need to redo the entire area for $2K. On top of that, they up-charge for so many things and they tell you there is a warranty for their jobs. FALSE! I noticed there were some issues with the original work that they did. They took a look and said that would require us to redo and do some different type of work to prevent this issue and it would be very expensive. So......why didn't you just recommend that before I paid you $2,000 for the 1st job?! I DO NOT RECOMMEND! EDIT - The owner did try to reach out and try to make things right when I posted this review, which I appreciate, but at this point i'm just over it and am having the other roofer do the work.

We are (were) return customers and even had recommended RRS to my parents. 5 years ago RRS came out and did a Roof Maxx treatment on our roof and some minor repairs. We had them out this past week to quote a new basic cool roof shingle roof on our 1700 sq ft house. Our home is on average to smaller in size and two story so even less roof space to replace. Arvin was our rep and he did a good job, was both professional and personal. I'm rating them so low due to their pricing. They came in at $33k to $30k depending on what package we chose. We ended up getting 3 additional estimates from other roofers and the next highest bid was $10k less then RRS and the one we went with is $13k less!!! Do yourself a favor and get competing bids. At the end of the day, it's a basic shingle roof....$10k to $13k more than the going rate from competitors is OUTRAGEOUS. UPDATE: Because accuracy matters, I failed to include my garage roof when I wrote my house is 1700 sq ft. With the garage included, total sq ft is approximately 2200. When I say "basic shingle", I am delineating that we are not replacing our roof with any special high end tiles or custom shingles. Lastly, all 4 estimates included solar panel removal and replacement.

Very disappointed! They started our great, set up an appointment with them. They responded right away. The lady setting up the appointment even moved up my appointment to an earlier date. The person that checked out my place seemed nice and was professional. However that is where it all stopped. I guess my repair was too small for them. After he sent me my quote, he even followed up to see what I was thinking. I signed the quote and sent it back. They never called back to set up a reapir date. I emailed back the inspector ( Cristobal) 2 times to see what's going on and his reply is "they should have called you by now. Let me check with my supervisor and will get back to you" Well, after the 2nd time that was it. I guess if your repair is too small they will never get back to you. Which I think is very unprofessional. They made me wait for nothing! On the bright side they over charge anyway. I found another company that did my rapair at half the cost they were charging.

Unfortunately, I cannot and will not work with this company, regardless of any follow-up actions they may take moving forward. In all fairness, I cannot rate their work but what I can say is that I requested to be contacted for a quote on the 23rd. I received an immediate response via Yelp and was told someone would contact me right away but today is the 28th and "Fernando" sent me an email (today) stating that I would be contacted soon. He even requested my best contact number back on the 23rd. I see that this company has tons of 5-star ratings, which is great, but I can't comfortably deal with any vendor who is either not genuinely responsive or so incredibly busy that they can't contact me within five days...after they ask for my number and have my email information. This review is not to bash this company, just to tell about my experience.

For inspections, at $195. The report was underwhelming and disappointing, especially if you are looking to negotiate with a seller. I received more information from my chimney inspector about the roof than I did from this inspection. No pictures, no details other than it's an old roof which was known before they arrived. I talked to management and they stand by this report so here is an example of what you get for $195 and about a 15-20 minute visit from their team. You can decide for yourself but I would not recommend. It may just be an industry issue as well as others where not willing to show their reports beforehand. It's probably best to just go get your general inspection to focus on your roof than to get a roof inspector.

we had very slight drip when it rained hard. I chose roof repair specialist to do the repair. the repair was done mid September 2024. at the first rain in mid February 2025, the roof started to leak badly around a pipe. We put bucket after bucket to contain the water and save the expensive equipment. i asked them to come and repair the leak. Flavio, the sales man that was there initially, claimed that the pipe was not there at the time of repair, so, no warranty. (he didnt know that i was present all the time when the repair done) when i told him, i have pics of the pipe being there and worked on, he didnt even apologize. I am very disappointed. havent decided yet if to sue them.

Upon making contact with customer service via yelp, they asked for my number. I provided my number. Never received a call back. They later said they were busy and to call them instead. So why ask for my number of you are not going to call and waste my time? They want to talk details over the phone and it doesn't look like they want to hear what you have to say in writing. I like to get clarity over written response before we make contact to confirm work being done. I see this as representation of how they provide service. It's obvious they don't need business right now. However, when it's slow, don't come asking me if I need service.

This company is just cheating company. They were not serious about your call and the appointments that they made with you. They promised to call back, they did not do it; they promised to come over, but they did not show up. They just let your roof leaking despite of your many calls, maybe they had no enough technicians, or they do not know how to fix the leaking. They( especially Chris) had only sweet mouth which sounded nice , but he did not do anything. In addition, this is only 3 years new company, no experience about the operation process. I was told most of positive reviews on Yelp are fake.... real cheating.....

I don't know how the quality of their work looks like, but their phone screener/receptionist is terrible. I called and was put in their queue, started as "caller #6." After 10 minutes, I made it to caller #2, then they hung up on me. Mistakes happen, so I called them back and started out as "caller #4" and ONCE AGAIN, as soon as I got down to "caller #2" they hung up on me again. That's 20 minutes of my life I won't be getting back. Doesn't seem like a very reliable company when you have multiple roof leaks in the middle of a storm. Call someone else who won't hang up on you while you're on hold...TWICE.

Assessed a project, deemed the building needed a new roof, and we awarded them the work. Upon completion of the work, the water leaking continued. They came back a few times to fortify their work, only to tell me that the issue is not coming from the roof at all, rather it is coming from the stucco. 40k later, and the problem persists. Andre told me this was an "anomaly" and that "at least we got a new roof". Not happy with their incorrect assessment. Not happy with their inexperience and lack of accountability. They sold us a product we don't need, and left us 40k in the hole.

You will regret after you hire them. It's waste of your money and time. I had a roof issue and hired them and still see the issues after. Of course, I requested them to fix what they have done and they ignored me completely. They obviously made an error and don't want see fix their errors and I don't think they are professionals. My roof has so many issues after they have done. I asked a 3rd company to evaluate the error and issue and they confirmed it's a roof issue and I told them.

I would give a 0 star if that was available. I was quoted $800 just to come out and take a look because I have a flat roof and its a Friday. Really? How did you arrive at that price? How do you break down that quote? Need extra cash for the holidays or something. I hate it when contractors just quote some random price off the top of their head to see if you'll go for it because you are in a situation where you need a repair right away. You should be ashamed of yourselves!!!

This is the most irresponsible roofing company I ever had to deal with. No one contacted me to schedule the roof job, 8 days after I signed their contract!! They say they would call me right back numerous times after they find out what was the status of my job, and they never called back!!!!! A heavy rain was coming in, and we had an unprotected roof, I signed their contract, and they couldn't care less!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I am very disappointed, not sure how they get five stars. We have a leak and they sent Chris. We requested two estimates, one for the leaking (which we got an estimate) and the other one for replacing/fixing a section of the other side of the roof. I have called a few times to follow up, but I have never heard from Chris again for the estimate on the other one. I guess they don't want to do it or they don't know how to fix it.

Worst contracting experience ever, spending two (mostly non-communicative) months to finish a job that they had told me would take, at most, four days. Their work crews seriously damaged the residence in several places, then the salesman for the company made excuses and supercilious remarks, while demanding full payment for their sub-par work and poor customer service/communication. Hire at your own risk.

I've contacted them multiple times and even answered a call from them regarding my project needs. They then said they would reach back out to me with scheduling and have not received any word from them. I messaged them once more and I just got a generic, someone is working on that list. Then I got ghosted. It's a wonder how some businesses stay open these days.

Realtors stay away from Roof Repair Specialist because their quotes are ultra expensive. That means that they can be deal killers, if you are negotiating credits for roofing. Their quote was over $20k more than competition. I love Flavio and Fernando cared to take care of us but just selling that they are the best, is not enough to justify their prices.

Horrible Company. ..we have been waiting more than a month for a quote....wonder how long a job would take.....not sure how they have so many stars....sorry we are moving on.....absolutely HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! We are in Covina you know who we are ...do not bother calling us we found a professional company to do the job!

Marty came by, spent quite a while, and called for Chris to look as well. I never got an estimate. Later, Fernando called with a generic follow up and I told him I'd never gotten a quote. There was another message from Chris, but still no quote to do the work. This was just a waste of time.

RRS came out to our apartment building to fix a leak in the roof. When cleaning up, they swept rocks and tar off the roof and onto my patio. After complaining to my manager, they came out to clean up, but left before finishing the job. Still tar on my patio and several of my plan

I realize due to recent rains and expected effects of El Nino, Roofers are quite busy. I left a message 24 hours ago to get on the list for a quote. The web page claims they're responding in 6 hours. No call back. Unacceptable customer service. Off my list.

Made an appointment with me on Friday to provide a quote and they stood me up without a call or text to let me know he wouldn't show up. I understand if they're busy, just let me know so I don't waste my time waiting for them. Not very professional.
